Genevieve M. Belakin
Genevieve Myrtle Belakin, 81, of Medford, died Tuesday (Sept. 14, 1999) at her home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
She was born Genevieve Myrtle Smith in Powers. She lived in the Rogue Valley until her early teens, when her family moved to California. She moved to Gold Hill in 1975 and to Medford in 1989.
On March 3, 1939, in Fort Bragg, Calif., she married William John Belakin, who died in 1995.
Mrs. Belakin worked for Westinghouse in Sunnyvale, Calif., for 35 years.
Survivors include three nephews and two nieces.

Vada Loa Jenner
Vada Loa Jenner, 90, of Medford, died Sunday (Sept. 12, 1999) at Northridge Center.
She was born June 6, 1909, in Geddie, S.D.
Ms. Jenner served in the Women's Army Corps.
She enjoyed painting.
Survivors include a son, Monte Chamberlain, Phoenix; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her son, Don Chamberlain, died in 1997.

Norman E. Donaldson
The funeral for Norman E. Donaldson will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Siskiyou Chapel. The Rev. Joyce DeGraaff of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Mr. Donaldson, 81, of Medford, died Monday (Sept. 13, 1999) at Rogue Valley Manor Health Center.

He was born Dec. 23, 1917, in Great Falls, Mont. He graduated from high school in Great Falls and received a degree in electrical engineering from Montana State in 1940.
On Dec. 24, 1941, in Petersburg, Va., he married Ruth Seifert, who survives.
Mr. Donaldson worked for General Electric in various locations for 14 years. He also worked for Westinghouse in Southern California for 20 years, retiring as a regional sales manager in 1982. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1995 from Arroyo Grande, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, attaining the rank of captain.
Mr. Donaldson was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Medford. He was a former elder in the Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed photography and lapidary work.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Susan Fagan, Fresno, Calif.; a son, Steven, Pomona, Calif.; a brother, Ellis, in Montana; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Goldie V. Boyd
The graveside service for Goldie V. Boyd will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Boyd, 87, of Central Point, died Monday (Sept. 13, 1999) in Medford.

She was born Goldie Toothaker on April 1, 1912, in Leavenworth, Kan. She grew up in Leavenworth, Kan., and Nole, Mo., where she attended school.
On Nov. 8, 1937, in Ontario, she married Robert M. Boyd, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1954 from Veneta.
Mrs. Boyd and her mother started a restaurant in the Moore Hotel in Ontario. After she moved to Central Point, she worked as a cook and laundress for Central Point Schools. During summers and off-times, she and a friend ran the cookhouse at the Rogue River Packing shed in Medford. Later, she was a caregiver for her siblings.
She was a member of the Mount Pitt Rebekah Lodge No. 3167 in Central Point, the Herb Society in Medford and the Central Point Grange.
Mrs. Boyd enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling.
Survivors include a daughter, S. Jean Beck, Central Point; two sisters, Aza Ella Ainsworth, Phoenix, and Mazie Edmondson, Ontario; two grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Henry Jr., Willie, Merwin, Harold and Charlie Toothaker.

Robert Clinton Hess
The funeral for Robert Clinton Hess will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Chapel in Medford. Bishop Ron Wells of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gold Hill will officiate. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Hess, 60, of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 10, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Longview, Wash. He moved to the Rogue Valley 5 1/2 years ago from Oroville, Calif.
On Oct. 14, 1994, in Gold Hill, he married Myra Schesser, who survives.
Mr. Hess was a self-employed mechanic for many years.
During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mr. Hess enjoyed music and played the piano. He was known for his sense of humor.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include six sons, Robert Hess Jr., Lancaster, Calif.; Leonard Hess, in Oregon, Brad Hess, Phoenix, Ariz., Klint Hess, Sparks, Nev., Ken Willms, Medford, and Ron Willms, Hillsboro; seven daughters, Michelle Parks, Salem, Terrianne Hess, Gresham, Laura Barnett, Aloha, Debra Musgrave, Rocklin, Calif., Michaela Compton, Las Vegas, Kami Hess, Sparks, Nev., and Ruth Schwarberg, Bremerton, Wash.; a brother, Charles, Clinton, Mont.; three sisters, Shara Valentino, Medford, Dorothy King, Gold Hill, and Irene Moran, Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; and many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dean Hess.

Lilie Faith Robinson
The memorial service for Lilie Faith Robinson will be at 7 p.m. today in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3822 Crater Lake Ave., Medford.

Lilie, 23 months, infant daughter of Jessica Robinson and Patrick Juba of Medford, died Thursday (Sept. 9, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Lilie was born Oct. 18, 1997, at the Trillium Birthing Cottage in Medford. She was born with many disabilities. She enjoyed music, trees, the sky and loved laughter.
Survivors include her parents, Jessica Robinson and Patrick Juba, both Medford; her grandparents, Tom and Shirley Robinson, Jacksonville, and Donalyn Cambas, Medford; great-grandparents, Fred and Arlene Coffman, Central Point, Ed and Joyce Robinson, Thermopolis, Wyo., Don and Zavive Minear, Medford, and George and Sheila Juba, Eugene.

Thelma V. Bowling
The chapel service for Thelma Virginia Bowling will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Chapel in Medford. Clayton Cotton of Tuliqua, Okla., will officiate. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum.
Mrs. Bowling, 80, of Central Point, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center in Medford.
She was born Jan. 20, 1919, in McAlester, Okla, a daughter of Arthur and Bessie (Morrison) McConnell.
On Oct. 23, 1926, in Muskogee, Okla., she married John Wesley Bowling, who died in 1998. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1954 from Elk City, Okla.
Mrs. Bowling was a meat wrapper for Safeway, Groceteria, Thunderbird and Matlock grocery stores in Medford.
She was a member of the Lozier Lane Southern Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bowling enjoyed reading, crocheting and RV traveling.
Survivors include two sons, Gene, Medford, and Bud, Central Point; a brother, R.G. McConnell, Elk City, Okla; four sisters, Juanita Jordan, Margaret Richey, and LaVera Bowles Lingscheit, all of Medford, and Shirley Ehernfeld, Springfield, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton McConnell.

Edna Jane Leonard
Edna Jane Leonard, 69, of Medford, died Sunday (Sept. 12, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.

She was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Oakland, Calif., a daughter of John and Thelma (Wickersham) Robertson.
On July 9, 1962, in Lucerne, Calif., she married Lewis W. Leonard, who died in 1993.
They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1988 from San Jose, Calif.
Mrs. Leonard was a manager for Pacific Bell.
She was past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Los Gatos, Calif., Chapter.
Mrs. Leonard enjoyed playing bunko.
Survivors include a son, Barry Wayne, Medford; a daughter, Terry Lynn Villegas, San Jose, Calif.; a brother, Jack Robertson, Boise, Idaho; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
