Linda LeeAnn Deibert
The memorial service for Linda LeeAnn Deibert will be at 4 p.m. today in the Table Rock Mobile Village Recreation Hall.
Mrs. Deibert, 55, of Medford, died Thursday (Sept. 9, 1999) at her home.
She was born Linda Thompson on July 28, 1944, in Yakima, Wash.
In 1966, in Reno, Nev., she married Albert E. Deibert, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley 22 years ago from Seattle.
Mrs. Deibert was a homemaker.
She enjoyed crafts, her dogs and organizing park functions.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Tabatha Heitkamp, Lewiston, Idaho; her mother, Elizabeth Wise, Yakima, Wash.; three brothers, Patrick Wise, Spokane, Wash., Mike Wise, Moses Lake, Wash., and Pete Wise, Yakima, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

James Edwin Webb
James Edwin Webb, 64, of White City, died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. A service will be held at a later date.

He was born Aug. 30, 1935, in Macomb, Ill., a son of Arthur Arnold and Wanda Lee Berry Webb.
Mr. Webb graduated from Macomb High School and moved to the Rogue Valley from Macomb in 1953.
On Jan. 30, 1954, in Reno, Nev., he married Carroll Blanche Smith, who survives. They moved to Coos Bay and lived there until 1961, when they moved back to the Rogue Valley.
Mr. Webb worked for Menasha Plywood in North Bend for five years, for Timber Products in Medford for two years, and for Elk Lumber/Boise Cascade in White City. He retired in 1984 after 28 years with Boise Cascade.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Mr. Webb was a member of the Southern Oregon Genealogical Society and the Southern Oregon Artists Association.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medford.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Mark R. and Stephen W., both White City, and Paul D., Haughton, La.; two daughters, Teena Marie Webb-Lievanos, and Robin R. Webb, both Medford; four brothers, Arthur L. Webb, Miami, Fla., Joseph D. Webb, Portland, and Victor and Daniel Davis, both Portland; three sisters, Bonnie Jean Johnson, Rapid City, S.D., Irene Davis and Carolyn Sue Bowles, both Portland; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Dean Webb.

Shirley Z. Rubus
Shirley Z. Rubus, 78, of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 10, 1999) at Hearthstone Manor. A service will be held at a later date in Banning, Calif.

She was born March 31, 1921, in Lexington, Neb.
On Oct. 10, 1943, in Corona, Calif., she married James A. Rubus, who died in 1989.
Mrs. Rubus moved to the Rogue Valley in 1994 from Banning, where she was active in the Church of the Nazarene.
Suvivors include three sons, Larry Rubus, Gold Hill, Brig. Gen. Gary M. Rubus, Albuquerque, N.M., and David Rubus, Shasta Lake, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Retha C. Fancher
Retha C. Fancher, 72, of Phoenix, died Friday (Sept. 10, 1999) in Medford. No service is planned. Interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

She was born Retha Candacy Garrard on June 27, 1927, in Sheridan Miss.
On Feb. 1, 1943, she married Hershell Newkirk. later divorced.
On Dec. 29, 1972, she married Eldon Fancher, who died in 1984.
Mrs. Fancher worked for the Big Y Bakery in Medford and later at the Sprouse-Reitz store in Ashland.
Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Newkirk, Ashland, and Barbara Arney, Tualatin; a son, Virgil R. Newkirk, Salt Lake City; a brother, Eldon Garrard, Medford; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Sara Yoder Neher
Sara Yoder Naher, 93, of Medford, died Wednesday (Sept. 8, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Sara Yoder on Oct. 15, 1905, in South Bend, Ind.
On June 29, 1929, she married Victor H. Neher, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from Watsonville, Calif.
Mrs. Neher was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Aptos, Calif. She enjoyed being with people and being a grandmother and wife.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Andrew and Stephen, Aptos, and Philip, Corvallis; two daughters, Merilyn Ratishauser, Lexington, Mass., and Topsy Smalley, Aptos; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
No service is planned. Arrangements: Memory Gardens.
Robert Louis Wheat
The memorial service for Robert Louis Wheat will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home in Ashland. The Rev. B.J. Holland will officiate.
Mr. Wheat, 81, of Ashland, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1999) at his home.
He was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Carter County, Mont. His family moved to Ashland when he was young, and he graduated from from Ashland High School in 1936.
On Aug. 3, 1983, he married Betty Miller Mars, a former Ashland High classmate, who survives.
Mr. Wheat began his military career in 1936 in the U.S. Army, then the Signal Corps, and finally with Army Intelligence. He served tours of duty in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Taiwan, and in Austria and Germany, where he attended the Nuremberg trials as an official observer. He retired at the Presidio in San Francisco in 1958 with the rank of major.
Mr. Wheat also worked in the private sector, first with Prentice-Hall Publishing, then with J.C. Penney Co.
He was a member of B.P.O.E. Chapter 944 and a lifetime member of the Retired Officers' Association.
Mr. Wheat was an avid golfer who made a hole in one on March 16, 1988, at Ashland's Oak Knoll Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Bobbi Brosamle, McMinnville; a son, Zack, Washington, D.C.; four stepchildren, Lori McHenry and David Adams, both Medford, Connie Marlin, Sacramento, Calif., and Steve Adams, Sebastopol, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 10 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Fred; a sister, Catherine; and a stepson, Jack Adams.
Friends may pay their respects from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
Lawrence E. Juniper
Lawrence E. Juniper, 90, of Central Point, died Friday (Sept. 10, 1999) at a local foster care home. No service is planned.
He was born Sept. 17, 1908, in Los Angeles.
On Sept. 12, 1932, in Los Angeles, he married Cecil Coss, who preceded him in death. He lived in Klamath Falls for 15 years and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1950.
Mr. Juniper was a machinist at Klamath Machine & Locomotive and at Timber Products. He also owned Pacific Machinery Company in Medford for many years. He was an innovator in machine tooling.
He served in the Marines as an airplane mechanic in Nicaragua during the late 1920s and early 1930s.
Mr. Juniper was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Ron, Huntington Beach, Calif.; a grandson; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters.

Lucille Dunlap
Lucille W. Dunlap, 93, of Trail, died Saturday (Sept. 11, 1999) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Sept. 15, 1905, in Salem, Utah, a daughter of Joseph Edgar and Susana Mariah (Beddoes) Stone.
In 1923, she married John "Jack" Wahlin, who died in 1970. She moved to Trail in 1989 from Hemet, Calif.
Mrs. Dunlap was a homemaker.
She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty J. Yost Jones, Trail; a brother, Cliff Stone, Azusa, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
