Robert Mark Williams

Robert Mark Williams, 85, of Shady Cove, died Wednesday (Sept. 29, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service was held. Inurnment was at Siskiyou Memorial Park.

He was born Jan. 25, 1914, in Claremont, N.H.

On Oct. 19, 1938, in Manchester, N.H., he married Beatrice L. Morrell, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1984 from Bellflower, Calif.

In California, Mr. Williams worked for Douglas Aircraft for 30 years. He owned and operated Williams Beauty Supply in the Rogue Valley until 1990.

He enjoyed antiques and traveling.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Charon Conaway, Medford, and Ronda Herbold, Central Point; one son, Neal J., Bellflower, Calif.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Montana; and a grandson, Robert Montana.

Gordon George Snyder

The memorial service for Gordon George Snyder will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Robert L. Larson of Ascension Lutheran Church will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.

Mr. Snyder, 72, of Medford, died Wednesday (Sept., 29, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born June 7, 1927, in Portland.

On June 16, 1951, in Yuma, Ariz., he married Beverly Tritsch, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley 27 years ago from Redwood City, Calif.

Mr. Snyder worked for the Redwood City Police Department for 15 years and the Jackson County Sheriff's Department for 12 years.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge in Redwood City and Grants Pass, and a member of the Peninsula Peace Officers Association.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Sharon Roberto and Linda Rankin, both of Medford, and Carol Riley, Paso Robles, Calif.; two sons, Michael, Las Vegas, and Steven, San Francisco; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Shirley Selby

The memorial service for Shirley Selby will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Ashland.

Mrs. Selby, 77, of Ashland, died Sept. 21, 1999, at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland.

Memorial contributions may be to the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Endowment Fund, 87 Fourth St., Ashland, OR 97520, or to the American Cancer Society, Jackson County Unit, P.O. Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Shirley Pyle on July 3, 1922, in Boulder, Colo., a daughter of Ray and Alice Pyle.

In 1940, she married Henry Brantley, and in 1950, she married Jack Selby. Both preceded her in death.

Mrs. Selby was employed by Bell Telephone Co., Richfield Oil Company and Crocker Bank before retiring in 1984. She moved to Ashland in 1990.

She was active in the Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

She enjoyed walking her dog and visiting with neighbors.

Survivors include a daughter, Jan Waitt, Ashland; a step-daughter, Judy Selby, Mancos, Colo.; a niece, Kathy Pyle, Jacksonville; a brother, Russ Pyle, Port Hueneme, Calif.; and a sister, Virginia Franklin Anderson, Melbourne, Fla.

Glen Arthur Steddum

The memorial service for Glen Arthur Steddum will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mountain View Estates Club House, 333 Mountain View, Talent. Pastor Bob Huntoon will officiate.

Mr. Steddum, 75, of Talent, died Tuesday (Sept., 28, 1999) at home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Oregon Affiliate, 1425 N.E. Irving No. 100, Portland, OR 97232-4201; or to The West Coast Humane Society, P.O. Box 417220, Sacramento, CA 95841-7220.

He was born Mar. 17, 1924 in Clovis, N.M.

On Nov. 10, 1984, in Garden Grove, Calif., he married Norma Ballinger, who survives.

Mr. Steddum served in the U.S. Navy for 21 1/2 years as a cook. He was discharged on March 12, 1964 and then served in the Fleet Reserve.

He was a baker and a cook.

Mr. Steddum enjoyed hosting benefit breakfasts.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Glen, Los Gatos Calif., and Dale, Olathe, Kan.; two sisters, Mary Lou Cushing, Bakersfield, Calif., and Peggy Rehm, Winchester, Tenn., and 2 grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Thomas Lee Boyd

The graveside service for Thomas Lee Boyd will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Boyd, 52, of Medford, died Friday (Sept. 24, 1999) in Medford.

He was born May 23, 1947 in Lincoln, Neb.

Mr. Boyd served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1973.

He is survived by a stepbrother, Henry Thomas, Glendale; and his mother, Evelyn Boyd, Lincoln, Neb.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Grace T. Bostwick

The funeral for Grace Taylor Bostwick will be at 2 p.m. today at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. William McDonald of First United Methodist Church, Medford, will officiate. Private interment will be at the Gotcher Cemetery, Williams.

Mrs. Bostwick, 98, of Ashland, died Tuesday (Sept. 28, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland.

She was born Grace T. Taylor on March 2, 1901, in Alice, Colo., a daughter of Anna Marie and Walter Taylor.

On Aug. 3, 1946, in Medford, she married Andrew "Andy" Bostwick, who died in 1997.

Mrs. Bostwick taught at Jacksonville High School for several years. She moved to Greensprings, near Ashland, and taught at the Pinehurst School until her retirement in 1986, when she moved to Ashland.

She enjoyed entertaining in her home.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanne Brown, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; a sister, Betty Wood, Phoenix; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel.

Friends may pay their respects at 1 p.m. today at Litwiller-Simonsen Crematory and Funeral Home, Ashland.

Frederick M. Minor

The graveside service for Frederick M. Minor will be at 9 a.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Lee Gregory of Medford Friends Church will officiate.

Mr. Minor, 76, of Medford, died Tuesday, (Sept. 28, 1999) at his home.

He was born Oct. 13, 1922 in Linwood, N.J.

During World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps II.

Mr. Minor was a member of the Medford Neighborhood Church.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Consuelo Little

Consuelo Little, 76, of Rogue River, died Tuesday (Sept. 28, 1999) at her home. A private family service will be held in Newport.

She was born July 28, 1923 in Upland, Calif.

On June 8, 1985, in Reno, Nev., she married John Little, who survives.

They moved to the Rogue Valley 20 years ago from Lincoln County.

Mrs. Little was a housewife for 40 years.

She was a member of the Unity Church and the Nazarene Church.

Mrs. Little was a Sweet Adelines singer in Rogue River. She was a Pink Lady volunteer at Dammasch State Hospital in Wilsonville.

She enjoyed sewing and gardening.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Charles, Central Point, Gary, Jacksonville, and Jimmy, Rogue River; a daughter, Laurie Brotherton, Portland; a brother, Raul Mendez, Sylmar, Calif.; a sister, Virginia Ramirez, San Fernando, Calif.; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
