Clifford Jackson Young
The funeral for the Rev. Clifford Jackson Young will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Mortuary in Medford. The Rev. Jack L. Kiekel of Sunriver will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
The Rev. Young, 88, of Whitefish, Mont., formerly of Medford, died Friday (Oct. 1, 1999) in Whitefish.
He was born Oct. 9, 1910, in Columbus, Ohio. He lived in the Rogue Valley from 1960-1966 and from 1982-1985.
On Sept. 25, 1938, he married Luella Elizabeth Mapes, who died in 1977.
He was the pastor of Eastwood Baptist Church in Medford from 1960 to 1966. He was in the ministry with the American Baptist churches in the Midwest, California, Oregon and Montana.
He enjoyed stamp collecting, sports and camping.
Survivors include two sons, Darryl Thomas, Columbia Falls, Mont., and Stuart Jackson, Seattle; three daughters, Janet Mapes Hilbert, Newport Beach, Calif., Shareen Elizabeth Bell, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Marilyn Ann Simmonds, Boise, Idaho; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from noon to 3 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
John William Seibert
The memorial service for John William Seibert will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Jeff Holder of Providence Medford Medical Center will officiate.
Mr. Seibert, 52, of Medford, died Sunday (Oct. 3, 1999) at his home.

He was born Oct. 22, 1946, in Gainesville, Fla. He moved to the Rogue Valley 49 years ago from Florida.
Mr. Seibert was a plant supervisor at Naumes in Medford.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Seibert coached Little League and enjoyed baseball and golf.
Survivors include a daughter, April Seibert, Talent; his parents, William H. and Jean Lydiard Seibert, Medford; and a brother, Robert J., Medford.

Eleanor A. Shaw
Eleanor A. Shaw, 93, of Central Point, died Sunday (Oct. 3 1999) at her home. A private service is planned.

She was born Eleanor Burkholder on June 25, 1906, in Fort Madison, Iowa.
On Oct. 19, 1927, in Boise, Idaho, she married James W. Shaw, who died in 1947. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Boise in 1928.
Mrs. Shaw enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and knitting and collecting spoons.
Survivors include a daughter, Grace E. Shaw, Central Point; three sons, Guy L., and Charles J., both Central Point, and James W., Medford.; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Carson.

Kathryn K. Kennedy
Kathryn K. Kennedy, 78, of Applegate, died Sunday (Oct. 3, 1999) at Hearthstone. No local service is planned.
She was born Kathryn Brass on Feb. 14, 1921, in Lawrence, Kansas. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1983.
On Nov. 19, 1989, in Applegate, she married Curtis Kennedy, who survives.
Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker.
She was a member of Applegate Community Church and the Applegate Community Church Women's Outreach.
Mrs. Kennedy enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Gary Coday, Mansfield, Mo.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy; and one sister.

Thomas Arthur Schutt
Thomas Arthur Schutt, 86, of Medford, formerly of Lincoln City, died Monday (Oct. 4, 1999) of natural causes at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No formal service is planned.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Leah, Medford; four daughters; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Lee Senyohl Howard
The memorial service for Lee Senyohl Howard will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Gold Hill United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jack Cornell will officiate.

Mr. Howard, 73, Gold Hill, died Saturday (Oct. 2, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born July 6, 1926, in Chicago. On Oct. 1, 1988, in Hayward, Calif., he married Bernadine Stelljes, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from the San Francisco Bay area.
Mr. Howard received a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin.
He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
He worked in sales in the airline industry.
He was a life member of the Gold Hill I.O.O.F. and attended the Gold Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Lawrence Brinkman, Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Jacqueline Thayer, Seattle, Wash., and Nancy Wharton, Vacaville, Calif.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Patricia Drew Elsasser
Patricia "Pat" Drew Elsasser, 75, of Rogue River, died Thursday (Sept. 30, 1999) at her daughter's home. No service is planned.
She was born on June 8, 1924, in Los Angeles.
Ms. Elsasser worked as a dental nurse for more than 40 years. She lived in the Los Angeles area before moving to Rogue River 15 years ago.
Ms. Elsasser enjoyed reading, crocheting, going to garage sales and volunteering for the Rogue River Community Thrift Store.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Honingford, Prospect; a sister, Norma Heitman, Monterey Park, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Lawrie Dunn Rutherford
The funeral for Lawrie Dunn Rutherford will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Community Bible Church, Butte Falls. Pastor John Adams will officiate. Interment will be in Butte Falls Cemetery.
Mr. Rutherford, 72, of Butte Falls, died Thursday (Sept. 30, 1999) at his home.

He was born Feb. 1, 1927, in Santa Barbara, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964.
On Nov. 3, 1969, in Winnemucca, Nev., he married Phyllis Davis, who survives.
Mr. Rutherford served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was on the school board in Santa Ynez, Calif. He was a farmer and rancher in California and Oregon. He also worked as a quality controller for 3M Company, retiring in 1987. After his retirement, he was a school bus driver for Butte Falls schools for 10 years.
Mr. Rutherford was a member of the Golita Lemon Association and Farm Bureau a 30-year member the Butte Falls Lions Club. He also was a member of Christiandelphia Ecclesia in Grants Pass.
He enjoyed music and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Nelson, Portland, and Nathan, Chagrin Falls, Ohio; a daughter, Lawreen Brow, Gold Hill; four stepsons, Terence Clement, White City, and Colin Clement, Brian Clement and Devon Clement, Gold Hill; two brothers, Robert, Discovery Bay, Calif., and Monroe, Santa Barbara, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his first wife, Mildred Rutherford, Portland.

Lewis Wayne Enerson
Lewis Wayne Enerson, 75, of Rogue River, died Sunday (Sept. 26, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born Nov. 4, 1923, in Minneapolis.
On Aug. 8, 1986, in Carson City, Nev., he married Irene M. Sanford, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1986 from Hayward, Calif.
Mr. Enerson was a Merchant Marine during World War II.
He also worked as a Chrysler mechanic.
Mr. Enerson enjoyed cars.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Donna Segelstrom, Robbinsdale, Minn.
