Charles L. Morehouse
The memorial service for Charles Louis Morehouse will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. The Rev. Anthony Schultz of Grace Lutheran Church in Ashland will officiate. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Morehouse, 96, of Medford, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born May 28, 1903, in Clitherall, Minn.
On Oct. 27, 1936, in Reno, Nev., he married Audrey Mae Reynolds, who died in 1995. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Klamath Falls in 1945.
Mr. Morehouse was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic with Pape Brothers for many years, retiring in 1970. He also owned farms near Ashland and in Central Point.
He was a member of the National, State and Bellview Grange. He was past master of the Central Point Grange, the Medford Caravaners and the Good Sam RV Club.
Survivors include a son, Rex H., in New York; a daughter, Donna C. Burch, in Washington; a stepson, Glen Yancey, Ashland; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Dale Millett.

Aron `Buster' Case
Aron Earl "Buster" Case, 83, of Shady Cove, died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. The private service and inurnment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
He was born June 23, 1916, in Beagle, a son of Earl Morris and Bessie Case.
On Nov. 21, 1942, in Salem, he married Maxine Harriett Hale, who survives. He lived in the Rogue Valley his entire life.
Mr. Case was a logger with Art Farra Logging and Steve Wilson Logging for 50 years.
He served in the U.S. Army, 1st Special Forces, in 1941.
Mr. Case enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Marsden P., Cave Junction; two sisters, Sylvia Nelson, Gold Hill, and Evelyn Thompsen, Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Ray, Gold Hill; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Donald M. Case, in 1944, and Alvin Case.

Catherine A. MacMillan
Catherine Ann Costello MacMillan, 47, of White City, died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland. The memorial service will be at a later date.
She was born Dec. 18, 1951, in Santa Monica, Calif.
Ms. MacMillan was a certified nurses aide for six years at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, Calif. She moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1989.
She enjoyed camping and family outings.
Survivors include her father, Richard M. Costello, White City; her mother, Alice J. Costello, La Mirada, Calif.; three brothers, Richard Michael Costello, Chino, Calif., Shawn Mark Costello, Uplands, Calif., Tracy John Costello, Dunsmuir, Calif.; and a sister, Colleen Marie Costello Johnson, La Mirada, Calif.

Edward A. Barrett III
Edward Arthur Barrett III, 23, of Central Point, died Monday (Oct. 11, 1999) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born March 28, 1976, in Coquille. He moved to the Rogue Valley 1983 from Coquille.
Mr. Barrett was a mill worker at Tolo Forest Products.
He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and hunting with his father.
Survivors include a son, Edward A. Barrett IV, Medford; a daughter, Brice Victoria Barrett, Medford; his father and stepmother, Edward A. Barrett Jr. and Kathleen Barrett, Central Point; seven brothers, Brian and Cody, Central Point, Cary and Tony, Coos Bay, James A., Coquille, Donovan, Reseda, Calif., and Michael, in California; and two sisters, Candace Barrett, Springfield, and Cynthia L. Barrett, in California. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Pierce Barrett.

William Joseph Pedro
The graveside service for William Joseph Pedro will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's Cemetery in Arcata, Calif. The Rev. Mike Kelly will officiate.
Mr. Pedro, 81, of Central Point, died Friday (Oct. 8, 1999) at his home.

He was born June 13, 1918, in Arcata, Calif.
In 1950, in Reno, Nev., he married Cecile Shephard, who died in 1972. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1986 from Arcata.
Mr. Pedro owned and operated Arcata Sand & Gravel until his retirement in 1986.
Prior to his retirement he was affiliated with the Portuguese Association in Arcata, where he participated in events and activities.
Mr. Pedro was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include three daughters, Judy Arzner, Medford, Shirley Wright, Lindon, Utah, and Marian Foust, Arcata, Calif.; two brothers, Lindy, Samoa, Calif., and Andrew, Middletown, Calif.; three sisters, Angelina Simas, Samoa, Calif., and Violet Sylvera and Laura Lopez, both San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack; and a sister, Jessie Buglar-Weatherbee.

Thomas C. Brainard
The graveside service for Thomas C. Brainard will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mr. Brainard, 76, of Medford, died Sunday (Oct. 10, 1999) at Hearthstone.

He was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Devils Lake, N.D.
On Aug. 6, 1949, in Burbank, Calif., he married Dixie Stifel-Cox, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Whittier, Calif., in 1968.
Mr. Brainard worked in sales for Berkley Pump and Trans America in Southern California, where he was known as the "pump man."
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Brainard was a member of the Medford Elks Club.
He enjoyed stamp collecting and golf.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Gayle Dixon, Gold Hill, and Carol Duval, Phoenix; and three grandchildren.

Rylee Brown-Fletcher
The graveside service for Rylee Gene Brown-Fletcher will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford.
Rylee, 14 months, infant son of Penny Serr and Matthew Fletcher of White City, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born July 27, 1998, in Medford.
He enjoyed smiling and his family.
Survivors include his parents, Penny Serr and Matthew Fletcher, White City; a brother and sister, Devin and Brittney Serr, both White City; and his grandparents, Roland Fletcher, Medford, Susan McCracken, Ashland, and Sharon Kemp, Shady Cove. Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Bill Kemp, in 1994.

Kaye Elizabeth Louis
Kaye Elizabeth Durno Louis, 64, of Moraga, Calif., formerly of Medford, died Oct. 6, 1999, at her home. A celebration of life was held Friday, Oct. 8, at the Lafayette-Orinda Presbyterian Church in Lafayette, Calif.

She was born Nov. 23, 1934, in Medford, a daughter of Dr. Edwin and Evelyn Durno. She grew up in the Rogue Valley. She attended the University of Oregon, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, and graduated with a degree in elementary education in 1956.
On Sept. 8, 1962, in the First Presbyterian Church in Medford, she married Ronald A. Louis, who survives.
Mrs. Louis taught school briefly in Bellevue, Wash., and later in Oakland, Calif. She moved to Moraga, Calif., where she lived for 36 years.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Paul, Newberg, and David, Clayton, Calif.; two sisters, Ann Hensley and Jane Stringer, both Medford; and two grandchildren.

Kathryn A. Grimminger
The memorial service for Kathryn Anna Beitel Grimminger will be Saturday in Ohio. No local service is planned.
Mrs. Grimminger, 88, of Jacksonville, died Friday (Oct. 8, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Kathryn Beitel on April 14, 1911, in Byesville, Ohio.
On Dec. 22, 1928, in Massillon, Ohio, she married Fred Grimminger, who died in 1997. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1993.
Mrs. Grimminger was a homemaker.
Survivors include three daughters, Velda Hawk, Jacksonville, Dolores Richardson, in Ohio, and Martha Bradley, in Washington; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
