Donald Bryce Tingle
A musical memorial celebration for Donald B. Tingle will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at Windmill Inn in Ashland.
Mr. Tingle, 81, of Medford, died Sept. 8, 1999, at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was a longtime Rogue Valley jazz musician. His full obituary ran Sept. 11.

Wallace M. Wolcott
Wallace Marshall Wolcott, 87, of Central Point, died Tuesday (Oct. 12, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation Center. A private memorial service will be held. Hugh Ellis of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rogue River, Post No. 4116 will officiate.
He was born April 26, 1912, in Homer, Mich., a son of Marshall J. and Emma Alley Wolcott. He moved to the Rogue Valley 24 years ago from Reno, Nev.
Mr. Wolcott worked for the U.S. government at the Army depot in California.
He was a petty officer, third class, in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Wolcott was a member Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rogue River, Post 4116.
He enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth, Grants Pass, and Robert, Prineville; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Mansfield; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Muriel W. Wilson
The memorial service for Muriel W. Wilson will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church, Ashland.
Mrs. Wilson, 79, of Ashland, died Sunday (Oct. 10, 1999) at her home, following complications from a stroke.

She was born Dec. 6, 1919, in Detroit, a daughter of Dr. Walter and Ruth Woodbridge of Grosse Pointe, Mich., and Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. She spent her summers and holidays at the family home on Lake Erie in Canada.
Mrs. Wilson served in the American Red Cross in the Philippines during World War II. Following the war, she served in Japan and Germany.
On July 9, 1947, in Marburg-on-Lahn, Germany, she was married by a bergermeister to Col. Walter J. Wilson, USAF, who survives. They were married again on July 12 in the American Church in Paris.
After a year at Rhine-Main Air Force Base, they returned to the United States, and lived at various air force bases for the next 30 years. After retirement, they lived in California, Florida, Canada, and moved to Ashland in 1991.
Mrs. Wilson was an avid reader and writer, and was the author of several newspaper and magazine articles. She continued to take university classes at Southern Oregon University well into her 70s, reflecting her belief in the importance of education and life-long learning. She was also an amateur photographer and painter.
She did volunteer work at schools, churches and nonprofit groups.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Leslie Burnham, Ben Lomond, Calif., and Wendy Wilson-Hoss, Shelton, Wash.; a son, Walter "Woody," Sacramento, Calif.; a sister, Lorraine Munroe, Key Largo, Fla.; a brother, Ted Woodbridge, Alva, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Robert G. Campbell
The graveside service for Robert G. Campbell will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mr. Campbell, 74, of Medford, died Tuesday (Oct. 12, 1999) in Medford.

He was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Anoka, Minn. He moved to the Rogue Valley as a child.
On Dec. 24, 1942, in Carlsbad, Calif. he married Gwendolyn Charley, who survives.
Mr. Campbell worked for KOGAP Lumber for 15 years. Later, he worked as a carpenter in home construction.
During World War II, he served in the U. S. Army, European theater, 29th Calvary, 9th Tank Battalion.
Mr. Campbell was a member of the Central Point Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 5726.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Robert A., Sherwood, and Norman R., Sitka, Ark.; two daughters, Nancy Badger and Janice Bennett, both of Medford; three sisters, Suzanne Schultz and Joanne Wickman, both Medford, and Martha Pearl, Warren; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Edward `Bob' Mitchell
Edward "Bob" Mitchell, 76, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday (Oct. 12, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service was held at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Tacoma, Wash. He completed four years of college and received a bachelor of science degree. He moved to Oregon 50 years ago from California.
On Feb. 13, 1966, in Reno, Nev., he married Patsy A. Scogin, who survives.
Mr. Mitchell owned the Jacksonville Nursing Home from 1962-67.
He enjoyed golf.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Kathleen Ludwig, Ashland, Sharon Vachon, Beaverton, and Melody Cole, Nashville, Tenn.; three sons, Dan Mitchell, Springfield, David Clinton, Gold Hill, and Larry Harper, Central Point; a brother, Warren, Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, Ruth Dean, in Washington; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Gordon L. Elwood
The graveside service for Gordon L. Elwood will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. Michael L. Murphy will officiate.
Mr. Elwood, 79, of Medford, died Oct. 8, 1999 at a foster care home in Phoenix.

He was born Aug. 7, 1920, in Medford, a son of Homer and Florence (Gustufson) Elwood.
On May 9, 1959, in Medford, he married Roma Jo Schaffer, who died in 1998. He lived in the Rogue Valley all of his life.
Mr. Elwood was self-employed in the television repair business for 46 years, retiring in 1985.
He served in the U.S. Air Force in 1942.
Mr. Elwood enjoyed cycling, cars and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Karl L., Medford; a daughter, Kristy Jo Schults, Medford; a sister, Doreen Keener, Medford; and two grandchildren.

Joyce Lavern McClour
The graveside service for Joyce Lavern McClour will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Bud Coffman of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God will officiate.
Mrs. McClour, 50, of Medford, died Tuesday (Oct. 12, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born Joyce Mize on Dec. 20, 1948, in Poteau, Okla.
On June 8, 1964, in Stockton, Calif., she married William McClour, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley one month ago from Crescent City, Calif.
Mrs. McClour worked in the home health industry for National Home Care in Tulare, Calif.
She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Mitchell, Medford, Yuma, White City, and Shawn, Crescent City, Calif.; her parents, Ed and Edna Hovey, Fanshawe, Okla.; her grandfather, Curtis Solomon, in Oklahoma; three brothers, Bobbie, Nipper and Keith, all in Oklahoma; eight sisters, Mary, Wilma, Debbie, Judy, Brenda, Carmel, Sandy and Lisa, all in Oklahoma; and eight grandchildren.

Dale Harris Butler
The memorial service for Dale Harris Butler will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Southwest Church of The Nazarene in Medford. Pastor Don Farnsworth will officiate.
Mr. Butler, 68, of Gold Hill, died Sunday (Oct. 10, 1999) at his home.
He was born April 24, 1931, in Topeka, Kan. He graduated from Gainesville High School in Texas in 1949 and had planned to attend his 50th class reunion later this month. He moved to Oregon 36 years ago from Texas.
On June 2, 1978, in Gold Hill, he married Emogene Bodine, who died in 1997.
Mr. Butler was an electrical repair technician with Cascade Electric for more than 33 years, until his retirement.
He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Essex during the Korean War. He was later stationed in Japan.
Mr. Butler enjoyed the ocean and was an avid fisherman. He also liked to hunt.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Becky Blakstad, Central Point; three stepsons, Ottis Roberts, Medford, Kevin Roberts, Sweet Home, and David Comstock, San Diego; his stepmother, Vicki Butler, Woodburn; a brother, Ralph M., Woodburn; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
