Mary Louise Reason
Mary Louise Reason, 63, of Rogue River, died Thursday (Nov. 11, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A private service will be held.
She was born Dec. 20, 1935, in Los Angeles, a daughter of Emerson and Mary (Harrington) Miller.
On Aug. 12, 1953, in Santa Ana, Calif., she married William "Bill" Austin Reason, who survives.
Mrs. Reason was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Women's Crisis program in Grants Pass and of Friend of the Fireman.
Mrs. Reason was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rogue River.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three daughters, Dawn Marie Dunn, Laguna Niguel, Calif., Joy Lynn Ward, Atlanta, and Heather Louise Marlow, Tusayan, Ariz.; a son, William "Austin," in Florida; and eight grandchildren.

Pharris David Buckner
Pharris David Buckner, 75, of Ashland, died Saturday (Nov. 13, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born May 30, 1924, in Monterey, Tenn.
On Sept. 2, 1985, in Ashland, he married Gertrude Harkins, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Buckner was a chef for many years.
He enjoyed golfing, collecting golf balls, cooking and food.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Francis and Katie Jo.

Wilburn `Tuffy' Cowin
The funeral for Wilburn "Tuffy" Cowin will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Hull & Hull Chapel, Grants Pass. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Cowin, 81, of Central Point, died Sunday (Nov. 14, 1999) at Hearthstone.
He was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Artesia, N.M.
On Sept. 18, 1939, in Reno, Nev., he married Ruth Alma Eilert, who survives.
Mr. Cowin was a farmer and rancher all his life. He moved to Grants Pass from the San Joaquin Valley of California in 1978 and lived in Grants Pass until 1980. He moved to Arkansas for three years, returning to Grants Pass in 1983. He moved to Central Point in 1990.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines.
He enjoyed his work, socializing and hunting with his dogs.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Ronald W., Escalon, Calif., and Richard W., Colusa, Calif. two daughters, Janet L. Ouellette, Medford, and Linda F. Holzhauser, Dorris, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

Eugene `Pick' Lydic
Eugene "Pick" Lydic, 78, of Rogue River, died Saturday (Nov. 13, 1999) at his home. A private service was held. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Lovejoy, Pa.
On March 8, 1986, in Reno, Nev., he married Patricia Goldsmith, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley 13 years ago from Longview, Wash.
Mr. Lydic worked for Weyerhauser Paper Co. in the chlorine plant in Longview, Wash., until his retirement.
During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps as a B-17 radio operator.
Mr. Lydic was a member of the 398th Bomber Squadron group, the Old Time Fiddlers and the Grants Pass Golf Course.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Jeanne Harris, Longview, Wash.; three sons, James and Jack, both Longview, and Jerry, in Southern California; two brothers, Bud, Castle Rock, Wash., and Phil, Winlock, Wash.; three sisters, Alice Laws, Portland, Nina Jones, San Jose, Calif., and Susie Rand, in Washington; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Wilburn Hutcheson Jr.
The graveside service for Wilburn C. Hutcheson Jr. will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. Donald Salisbury of the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary in White City will officiate.
Mr. Hutcheson, 70, of Jacksonville, died Monday (Nov. 15, 1999) at his home.

He was born Sept. 24, 1929, in Hollywood, Calif.
On April 19, 1953, he married Louise Libbrecht. They later divorced. He lived in Eugene from 1949-80, when he moved to Olympia, Wash. He moved to Jacksonville from Olympia in 1998.
Mr. Hutcheson retired as a police lieutenant from the Eugene Police Department, where he was employed from 1954-80. He also retired from the Secretary of State's office in Olympia, Wash., in 1996.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1948-49, and in the National Guard from 1954-80.
Mr. Hutcheson enjoyed fishing, prospecting, model railroads and studying history.
Survivors include four daughters, Cynthia Carrasco, Medford, Marianne Salcedo, Allentown, Pa., Diane Sullivan, Clarksville, Tenn., and Irene Daugherty, Jacksonville, Fla.; a son, W. C. Hutcheson III, Tumwater, Wash.; a sister, Jeanette Bang, Burbank, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Faye Orgain
The funeral for Faye Orgain will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Bridgeview Community Church in Cave Junction. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Orgain, 89, of Cave Junction, formerly of Medford, died Sunday (Nov. 14, 1999) at Three Rivers Hospital, Dimick Campus, Grants Pass.

She was born Faye Love on April 8, 1910, in Umatilla County.
On Dec. 17, 1955, in Klamath Falls, she married Del Orgain, who survives. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life. She moved to Cave Junction from Medford in 1981.
Mrs. Orgain worked for Prospect High School, retiring in 1974.
She belonged to the Rebekah Lodge.
Mrs. Orgain enjoyed traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two stepdaughters, Loretta Heath, Central Point, and Lydia Grahm, Shelton, Wash.; a foster son, Bill Johnston, Roseburg; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Carl Orgain.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Muriel L. Saimons
Muriel L. Saimons, 86, formerly of Medford, died Nov. 10, 1999, at her nephew's home in Redding, Calif. There will be An informal gathering at 2 p.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Chapel, Bellinger and Arnold Lane, Medford. Interment was in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born March 5, 1913, in Ottowa, Canada, a daughter of Daniel and Laura Cuthbertson. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Klamath Falls in 1949.
She married Steve M. Saimons, who died in 1959.
Mrs. Saimons was a clerk for Pape' Brothers in Medford for six years during the 1960s.
She enjoyed ceramics, antiques and socializing.
Survivors include three nieces, Lynn Wirfs, Pasco, Wash., Deanna Hirz, Moses Lake, Wash., and Cheryl Jefferies, Chico, Calif.; two nephews, Steven Fristoe, Redding, Calif., and Michael Cuthbertson, Crescent City, Calif.; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Nick E. Saimons, in 1989; two brothers, Fred and Charlie Cuthbertson; and a sister, Irene C. Fristoe.
