Gloria Jean DeLong
Gloria Jean DeLong, 49, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 17, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service will be held.
She was born March 24, 1950, in Indianapolis. She lived in Oregon for 24 years.
Ms. DeLong was a certified nursing assistant.
She enjoyed cooking, sewing, caring for people and dancing.
Survivors include her fiancee, Michael Wagner, Medford; a daughter, Robbin Herring, Medford; a son, Charles Nugent, Medford; and five grandchildren.

Charlotte May Busey
Charlotte May Busey, 87, of Ashland, died Monday (Dec. 20, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland. Private interment was in Hill-Dunn Cemetery, Ashland.
She was born Charlotte May Bowman on Aug. 31, 1912, in Roseburg. She grew up in Eugene, and graduated from St. Mary's High School
On Aug. 1, 1932, in Eugene, she married Rodney P. Busey, who died in 1970. She moved to Ashland in 1964 from Eugene.
Survivors include a son, Russ, San Francisco; a daughter, Rodene "Lara" Huggins, Ashland; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Dayton E. Glenn
The graveside service for Dayton E. Glenn will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Jerry Gilmer of the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary will officiate.
Mr. Glenn, 73, of Central Point, died Monday (Dec. 20, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Nov. 30, 1926, in Logan, Kan. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1938.
On Oct. 19, 1952, in Central Point, he married Betty Williams, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Glenn was an industrial construction carpenter for Olson Lawyer Lumber Company, now Boise Cascade.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Eagles Lodge and the American Legion.
He enjoyed bowling and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Joe, Central Point; a daughter, Lori Jordan, Eagle Point; two brothers, Donald, Phoenix, and Gary, Central Point; a sister, Wanda McClearen, Central Point; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean.

Berwyn `Bill' A. Ellison
The graveside service for Berwyn "Bill" A. Ellison will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Pastor Lou Schneider of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate.
Mr. Ellison, 87, of Medford, died Sunday (Dec. 19, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born June 19, 1912, in Newman Grove, Neb.
On March 5, 1942, in Oakland, Calif., he married Alvina Benson, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1954 from Cottage Grove.
Mr. Ellison was a sawmill yard foreman with Double D Lumber Co., retiring in 1978.
He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Ellison enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Ronald W., Eagle Point; three daughters, Carolyn Dippold, Medford, Linda Fletcher, Lake Oswego, and Mary Lou Meirow, Salome, Ariz.; a sister, Dorothy Marie Gerstner, Cottage Grove; and many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Memory Gardens Chapel.
Alice Marie Bailey
The graveside service for Alice Marie Bailey will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.
Mrs. Bailey, 73, of Medford, died Monday (Dec. 20, 1999) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born Alice Marie Gravil on Sept. 23, 1926, in Topeka, Kan.
On Nov. 7, 1943, in Oskaloosa, Kan., she married George A. Bailey, who survives. She moved to San Jose from Kansas in 1958, and to the Rogue Valley in 1987.
Mrs. Bailey enjoyed gardening and word puzzles.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, George A. Jr., and Gregory, both San Jose, Calif.; a daughter, Carolyn Sabanovich, Angels Camp, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Myron `Pete' H. White
Myron "Pete" H. White, 91, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 17, 1999) at Medford Rehabilitation Center. No service is planned. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Bakersfield, Calif.
He was born May 24, 1908, in Sacramento, Calif., a son of Essie and George Washington White. He moved to the Rogue Valley at a young age.
Mr. White was a rancher as a young man. He then worked as a logger in the timber industry.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and cutting firewood.
Mr. White was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur C.; and a sister, Lucille White.

Betty Jane Lorenzen
Betty Jane Lorenzen, 81, of Ashland, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday (Dec. 16, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland. A private service was held.
She was born Feb. 8, 1918, in Moline, Ill., a daughter of Edwin and Emma (Kohlhammer) Prochnow. She graduated from Davenport High School in 1936, and from the University of Iowa in 1940, with a major in home economics and a minor in journalism.
On Sept. 27, 1941, in Shreveport, La., she married Richard Lorenzen, who survives.
Mrs. Lorenzen taught middle school in Los Altos, Calif. She recently moved to Ashland from Seattle.
Following World War II, her husband worked for Pan Am Airlines and the family traveled worldwide to his various assignments, including Miami, Fla., Bogota, Columbia, New York, London and Rome. They lived in Hong Kong in 1959 and later from 1975 to 1977.
Mrs. Lorenzen was a volunteer with the American Red Cross, and was active in the League of Women Voter. She also was a hospital Pink Lady. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta.
An avid reader, she also enjoyed sewing, knitting and playing bridge.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include four sons, Don, Salem, Marc, Seattle, Eric, Bend, and Bruce, San Diego; a daughter, Janis Ellison, Folsom, Calif.; a brother, Ned Prochnow, Alameda, Calif; a sister, Marilyn Hinton, Davenport, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
