Russell H. Berriman
The graveside service for Russell H. Berriman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. Berriman, 81, longtime resident of the Rogue Valley, died Sunday (Dec. 26, 1999) in Roseburg.
Arrangements: Wilson's Chapel of the Roses, Roseburg.
Larry Schenk
The memorial service for Larry Schenk will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Central Valley Chapel, Central Point.
Mr. Schenk, 48, of Medford, died Dec. 20, 1999, at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 28, 1951, in St. Paul, Minn., a son of Robert and Phyllis (Pelletier) Schenk. He lived in the Rogue Valley for many years.
Mr. Schenk was a clerk in electronics.
Survivors include a sister, Jeanne Charleton, Rogue River. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Phyllis (Pelletier) Schenk.

Gwen M. Whitlock
Gwen M. Whitlock, 82, of Medford, died Thursday (Dec. 23, 1999) in Marietta, Ga. No service is planned.

Mrs. Whitlock was a graduate of Wooster College in Wooster, Ohio.
She was a resident and active volunteer at Rogue Valley Manor.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice H. Whitlock, Medford; a son, Bruce, Sunnyvale, Calif.; two daughters, Edith Carlson, Marietta, Ga., and Maureen Michal, Cleveland, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Myrtle E. Laddusire
Myrtle Elaine Laddusire, 74, of Bieber, Calif., formerly of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 22, 1999) at Beverly Manor in Yreka, Calif. A private service is planned. Inurnment will be in Ashland Cemetery, Ashland.
She was born March 15, 1925, in Rolla, Mo., a daughter of Lewis and Agnes (Stover) Tackett. She lived in the Rogue Valley from 1954 to 1963. She moved to Bieber, Calif., in 1985 from Canby, Calif.
Ms. Laddusire was a waitress and cook for many years.
She enjoyed garage sales, videos, movies and crocheting.
Survivors include two sons, Victor L. Smith and Daniel R. Smith, both Medford; a daughter, Barbara Schrader, Dillon, Mont., two brothers, William Tackett, McMinnville, and Melvin Wilson, Brentwood, Calif.; a sister, Shirley Thigpin, Medford; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Deno Smith, in 1958; and a sister, Kitty Markle, in 1998.

Alexander Alvarez Sr.
The funeral for Alexander Alvarez Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Memory Gardens Chapel.
Mr. Alvarez, 84, of Medford, died Sunday (Dec. 26, 1999) at Three Fountains Nursing Center.

He was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Placentia, Calif.
On Aug. 17, 1938, in Klamath Falls, he married Mary Salazar, who survives. They later divorced.
He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1952 from Klamath Falls.
Mr. Alvarez was a certified lumber grader with Double D Lumber in Medford and Peres Lumber in Klamath Falls.
He was a member of the Eagles and the Catholic Church.
Mr. Alvarez enjoyed fishing, gardening and making smoked meats.
Survivors include four sons, Robert, Phoenix, Louis G., Medford, Joe, in Florida, and Alexander Jr.; a brother, Tribuco, Klamath Falls; a sister, Juanita McCluffie, Malin; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John, in 1940; two brothers, Severino and Lutte Ledesma; and a sister, Lupe Mendoza.

Eldin John Volpi
The graveside service for Eldin John Volpi will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford. Family members will officiate.
Mr. Volpi, 71, of Talent, died Saturday (Dec. 25, 1999) at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford.
He was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Parma, Italy, a son of Siro and Marianna (Tramalloni) Volpi. He graduated from White Pine High School, and attended Stanford University. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964, from Ely, Nev.
On Aug. 16, 1966, in Tijuana, Mexico, he married Goldie May Gray, who died in 1998.
Mr. Volpi owned and managed the Farmers Cafe restaurant. He also worked for Crater Music Company in Medford.
He was active in the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Ashland AF & AM 2 and 3, the A & E.A. Scottish Rite, and the Hillah Temple in Ashland.
Mr. Volpi served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Ashland Christian Fellowship.
Mr. Volpi enjoyed traveling, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Millard, Phoenix, Linda Kay Rowe, Central Point, and Coreen Cline, Coos Bay; four sons, William Rowe, Talent, Dwain Davis, Medford, Michael Davis, Spanaway, Wash., and Patrick Davis, Boise, Idaho; 24 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Joseph F. Trojan
The funeral for Joseph F. Trojan will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Private interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
Mr. Trojan, 87, of Ashland, died Friday (Dec. 24, 1999) at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland.

He was born March 17, 1912, in Bayonne, N.J., a son of Katherine and Bartholomew Trojan.
On Sept. 13, 1936, in Bayonne, N.J., he married Barbara Jean Obremski, who survives. He lived in Tarzana Calif., from 1970 to 1988.
Mr. Trojan worked for First Interstate Bank from 1965 to 1985. He retired in 1985, and moved to Ashland in 1988.
He enjoyed working outdoors.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Dr. Lorraine Gibb, Columbus, Ohio, and Dannielle Edwards, Fawnskin, Calif. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert, in 1996.
