Selma Starr
Selma Starr, 81, of Ashland, died Friday (Jan. 7, 2000) at the Medford Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. No service is planned.
She was born Sept. 14, 1981, in Sheboygan, Wisc., a daughter of George and Marie Baab. She moved to Oregon in 1937 and to Ashland in 1943.
Surviving are two brothers, Edwin Baab, of Hudsonville, Mich., and William Baab, of Colorado; three sisters, Lydia Schram, of Berrien Springs, Mich., Hilda Baab, of Marshall, Ark., Elizabeth Nifong, of Elkhart, Ind.; one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Starr, in 1991; a daughter, Joan Silver; a brother, John Baab; and a sister, Edna Kornblith.

Robert Sullenger
Robert "Buster" Earl Sullenger, 87, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 6, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

He was born July 7, 1912, in Claude, Texas.
On Nov. 16, 1939, in Clovis, N.M., he married Mary E. Felkner, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley from New Mexico 50 years ago.
Mr. Sullenger was a self-employed cattle rancher and farmer.
He enjoyed playing dominos and cards.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two stepsons, Jimmy L. Griffith, Prospect, and Kenneth Griffith, Arrey, N.M.; a brother, William, in New Mexico; a sister, Rene Axe, in New Mexico; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Marshall, Hile and Rube; and four sisters, Zelma Axe, Myrtle Chambless, Eva Laughlin and Lela Killebrew.

F.C. Baird
The memorial service for F.C. "Skeeter" Baird will be at 2 p.m. at Northridge Center, 3737 S. Pacific Highway, Medford.
Mr. Baird, 85, of Medford, died Friday at his home.
He was born Jan. 21, 1914, in Brigham City, Utah. After service in the Civilian Conservation Corps, he served in the U.S. Navy in World War II.
Mr. Baird was retired from the Puget Sound Power Company. He was a gun enthusiast and liked to hunt, fish and ride motorcycles.
Surviving are his long-time companion, Oval Clark, of Medford; a daughter, Melba Saylor, of Surprise, Ariz.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Baird, and a daughter, Eileen Baird.

Dorothy Barnum
The funeral mass for Dorothy June Barnum will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mrs. Barnum, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 6, 2000) at Three Fountains Care Center.
She was born Dorothy Smith on June 27, 1920, in Ashland, a daughter of Walter and Mabel J. Smith. On July 17, 1938, in Grants Pass, she married Robert E. Barnum, who survives.
Mrs. Smith lived in the Rogue Valley all her life. She worked at JC Penney and at Rogue River Packing Co. She was a Girl Scout leader and enjoyed homemaking and camping.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are three daughters, Barbara Nygren and Patt Speilbusch of Medford,
and Teresa Barnum, of Shady Cove; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Fernando Tello
A funeral service for Fernando Tello, 67, Medford, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Liam Carey, of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate.
Mr. Tello died on Jan. 7, 2000, at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born on May 30, 1932, in Huanuco, Peru.
On July 1, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nev., he married Eugenia Castro.
The couple moved to the Rogue Valley from Redondo Beach, Calif., in 1993.
Mr. Tello worked as a service clerk for United Airlines. He enjoyed horses and fishing and was known for his sense of humor. He also enjoyed dancing and socializing.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: a son, Victor M. Gomez, Aurora, Colo.; daughters Marina A. Keller, Medford, and Anna Tello, Long Beach, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
A sister, Rosa Lozano, preceded him in death.
Friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Glen L. Parker
Memorial service for Glen L. Parker, 28, Eagle Point, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Eagle Point Community Bible Church, 27 Shasta Ave., Eagle Point. The Rev. Charles A. Didato, of College Heights Baptist Church, Grants Pass, will officiate.
Mr. Parker died Jan. 6, 2000.
He was born Dec. 1, 1971, in San Bernardino, Calif.
On Aug. 17, 1991, in LaJoola, Calif., he married Michele Stonecipher.
He moved to the Rogue Valley from Carlsbad, Calif., in 1991.
Mr. Parker worked in construction for Harrington/Campbell, Medford. He enjoyed snowboarding, surfing, dirt bikes and skateboarding.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: a son, Tanner L., Eagle Point; his mother, Barbara Parker, Oceanside, Calif.; his father, Gordon Parker, Carlsbad, Calif.; and a brother, Gary, Carlsbad, Calif.
John `Skip' Clifford Hull
John "Skip" Clifford Hull, 55, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (Jan. 6, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born Aug. 29, 1944, in Long Beach, Calif., a son of John and Mary (Johnston) Hull. He moved to Prospect from Texas in 1955.
Mr. Hull worked in retail sales.
He enjoyed music and going to coffee shops.
Survivors include a son, Jeremy J., Grants Pass; three brothers, Larry, Medford, Terry, Woodburn, and Ben, Stockton, Calif.; and a sister, Judy Self, Medford. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Hull.

Evelyn V. Pollard
Evelyn V. Pollard, 78, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2000) at her home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Perl Siskiyou Memorial Park.

She was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Fort Atkinson, Wis., a daughter of William and Dorothea Bartelt. She was educated at St. Paul's Lutheran and high schools in Fort Atkinson, and attended a business college in Milwaukee.
Mrs. Pollard was a secretary prior to her first marriage.
In 1942, in Wisconsin, she married Maj. Robert J. Luebke, USAF, who died in 1951. She moved to Seattle in 1955.
In November 1959, in Bellevue, Wash., she married James P. Pollard, who died in 1998. She lived in Seattle and Honolulu until she moved to Medford in 1978.
Mrs. Pollard served as a volunteer for the Association of Retarded Citizens of Jackson County for a number of years.
She was a member of the Medford Women's Bowling Association, and a social member of the Rogue Valley Country Club.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Phyllis Kirkpatrick, Seattle; and Margaret Alexander, Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Paul Silvey, Tulsa, Okla.; and a step-grandson.
