Martha Evelyn Krupp

Martha Evelyn Krupp, 97, of Medford, died Monday (Jan. 10, 2000) at her home. The service will be held later.

She was born Martha Knapp on March 24, 1902, in Las Animas, Colo. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1938 from the San Francisco Bay area.

Survivors include a son, Joseph R., Medford; a daughter, Beverly J. Wilson, Haines, Alaska; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers; and one sister.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Services, Medford.

Jack Doolittle

The funeral for Jack Doolittle will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Hillcrest Memorial Chapel, Medford. Pastor Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Mr. Doolittle, 77, of Central Point, died Tuesday (Jan. 11, 2000) at Medford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

He was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Vale, a son of Marc Hopkins and Ethel May (Barr) Doolittle. He graduated from college in Chicago.

On Sept. 27, 1968, in San Jose, Calif., he married Velma Winegarner, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley two months ago from California.

Mr. Doolittle was an engineer in the aerospace industry with Lockheed Corporation.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Doolittle was a member of the Beau Pre Golf Course for many years.

He enjoyed playing golf and traveling.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Dennis Blacklock, San Jose, Calif., and David Blacklock, Grants Pass; three daughters, Joann Doolittle and Susan Jochhiem, both San Jose, Calif., and Linda Dirksen, Central Point; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. today at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

Rodney Lee Wyman

The memorial service for Rodney Lee Wyman will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Illinois Valley Grange in Cave Junction.

Mr. Wyman, 27, of Medford, died Saturday (Jan. 8, 2000) at his home.

He was born Jan. 15, 1972, in Eugene, a son of Oliver and Janet Wyman.

On Aug. 26, 1995, in Selma, he married Stacie Speers, who survives. He had returned to the Rogue Valley in December.

Mr. Wyman was an insulation installer for McMurray and Sons.

He enjoyed working on cars, playing horseshoes, darts and growing plants.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his parents, Janet and Raymond Bludworth, Eugene; two brothers, Steve, Noti, and Richard, Eugene; a sister, Debbie Lampert, Medford. He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Wyman, in 1976.

Lilian Rowe Burleigh

The memorial service for Lilian Rowe Burleigh will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints in Eagle Point. Bishop Ken Williams of the White City Ward will officiate.

Mrs. Burleigh, 51, of White City, died Sunday (Jan. 9, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Lilian Rowe on April 10, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii, a daughter of Dwight and Eleanor Rowe.

On Aug. 19, 1966, in Tillamook, she married Danny Lee Burleigh who survives. She moved to Oregon in 1963 from Maryland.

Mrs. Burleigh worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for the VA Domiciliary.

She enjoyed taking pictures, reading and writing poetry.

Survivors in addition to her husband include three sons, Charles, Eagle Point, Nathan, Salem, and David, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; a daughter, Lesa Burleigh, White City; a brother, Dwight Rowe, Amity; three sisters, Doty Parker, Kuwai, Hawaii, Mari Renner, Sioux

Falls, S.D., and Eleanor Ashman, Sheridan; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy, her parents, Dwight and Eleanor Rowe, and a granddaughter.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Inc. Medford.

Nino Sunseri

Nino Sunseri, 97, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Jan. 8, 2000) at his home. No service is planned.

Interment will be in Hawthorne Cemetery, Grants Pass.

Memorial contributions may be made to, Love Joy Hospice, 400 N.E. E Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526.

He was born Oct. 12, 1902, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of Antinino and Venta Sunseri.

On Aug. 31, 1929, in Portland, Ore., he married Evelyn Louise Bell, who preceded him in death. He moved to the Rogue Valley from San Bruno, Calif., in 1958.

Mr. Sunseri served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He received the American Area campaign medal and the victory medal.

He worked as a meteorologist in the weather industry with the U.S. government for 40 years. He also worked for Grants Pass High School as a janitor for 10 years. He was a Master Gardener.

Mr. Sunseri enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include; a son, Sid L., Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Sandra McClain and Sharlene Valle, both of Grants Pass; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford.

Virginia Bruce

The memorial service for Virginia Bruce will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Eagle Point Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Darrell Backus will officiate.

Interment will be in Brownsboro Cemetery, Eagle Point.

Mrs. Bruce, 81, of Lake Creek, died Saturday (Jan. 8, 2000) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Brownsboro Community Church, 8833 Highway 140, Eagle Point, OR 97524.

She was born Virginia Lesh on Sept. 30, 1918, in Pasadena, Calif.

On March 20, 1944, in Pasadena, she married Robert Bruce, who died in 1989. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Hemet, Calif., in 1962.

Mrs. Bruce and her husband operated an apricot orchard and a truck farm, which they traded for a cattle ranch at Lake Creek in 1962. She was an artist and painted landscapes and seascapes.

She enjoyed taking photographs, writing poetry, raising flowers and studying history.

Mrs. Bruce was a member of the Brownsboro Community Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Rosanne Leadford, Lake Creek, Laurie Short, Fortuna, Calif., and Anita Hamill, Bridgeville, Calif.; three sons, Steve, Klamath Falls, Bill and Chuck, both from Lake Creek; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Wilma Bernice Loser

Wilma Bernice Loser, 87, of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 9, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Wilma Bernice Gooden on May 13, 1912, in Maple Hills, Kan.

On Oct. 22, 1955, in Reno, she married John C. Loser, who died in 1998. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1985 from Klamath Falls.

Mrs. Loser worked as a waitress in Klamath Falls at the Willard Hotel and Winema Hotel. She also worked as a waitress in Kansas at the Harvey House.

She enjoyed traveling, camping, ceramics and knitting.

Survivors include; two sons, Robert A. Flora, Medford and James A. Flora, Eugene; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grand child. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Alfred Flora in 1987 and John "Jack" Loser in 1998.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
