Eliza Orwin Horn
Eliza Orwin Horn, 80, of Ashland, formerly of Tracy, Calif., died Friday (Jan. 28, 2000) at the Ashland home of her daughter, Carol Horn Davis. Interment will be in the Tracy Public Cemetery, Tracy, Calif.

She was born Sept. 8, 1919, in Garland, Utah, a daughter of John Jesse and Olive (Ward) Orwin.
On Nov. 29, 1947, in Salt Lake City, she married Alfred Joseph Horn, who died in 1990. She moved to Ashland on Dec. 31, 1999.
Survivors, in addition to her daughter, include two sisters, Isabel Gull, Gainesville, Fla., and Venola Ward, Farmington, Utah; and one grandson. She was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Florence Meddock
The memorial service for Florence Marie "Dolly" Meddock will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Central Point. The Rev. Dwayne L. Brown will officiate. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Meddock, 77, of Central Point, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 2000) in Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born April 15, 1922, in San Francisco, Calif. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1961 from Mount Shasta, Calif.
Mrs. Meddock was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Central Point.
She enjoyed her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Paula Baker, Medford, Eve Hager, Ontario, Calif., and Debbie Gorson, Redding, Calif.; two sons, Fred Meddock, Central Point, and Paul Meddock, Bend; two brothers, Frederick E. Morris Jr., Rancho Mirage, Calif., and Harry Morris, Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth `Betty' Blair
The memorial Mass for Elizabeth "Betty" Margaretta Brown Blair will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Medford.
Mrs. Blair, 91, of Medford, died Friday (Jan. 28, 2000) at Medford Rehabilitation Clinic.

She was born Sept. 4, 1908, in Harrisburg, Pa., a daughter of Thomas Howard and Elizabeth (Barrett) Brown. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975 from California.
Mrs. Blair was an active volunteer in the area. She was a member of the Herb Club and the Degree of Honor.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Nielsen, Tucson, Ariz.; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Harold Blair, in 1973.

Landon Anthony King
The graveside service for Landon Anthony King will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Salisbury of the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary in White City will officiate.
Mr. King, 67, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 27, 2000) in Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 6, 1932, in San Francisco.
Mr. King was a truck driver.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1953 and from 1957 to 1964.
Mr. King enjoyed fishing, hunting, eagles and wolves.

Shannon Read Brim
A celebration of the life of Shannon Read Brim will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in the conference center at the Windmill's Ashland Hills Inn.
Ms. Brim, 41, of Ashland, died Tuesday (Jan. 25, 2000) at her home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shannon R. Brim Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of Pete Cislo, Ashland High School, 201 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland, OR 97520.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1958, in Canyon, Texas, a daughter of Burl and Mary Brim. She moved to Ashland in 1970, where she attended Ashland Junior High School and Ashland High School, graduating in 1976. She also earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in education from Southern Oregon State College.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her children, Whitney, Brady and Sterling, all of Ashland; her parents, Wellington, Texas; two brothers, Burl Brim Jr., Ashland, and Bary Brim, Windsor, Colo.; and three sisters, Shelly Morton, Wellington, Katrina Jeannet, Fairbanks, Alaska, and Heather Rafiki, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Elizabeth Zimmermann
Elizabeth H. Zimmermann, 78, of Medford, died Friday (Jan. 28, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Elizabeth Heine on July 13, 1921, in Hooper, Neb.
In 1943, in Santa Barbara, Calif., she married Joe Zimmermann, who preceded her in death. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1969.
Mrs. Zimmermann worked at the Rogue Valley Memorial Hosptial before retiring in 1985.
She was an active volunteer for the Better Breathers.
Survivors include three daughters, Jorn Jamieson, Dixon, Mo., Mary McNamara, Hillsboro, and Lisa Jowise, Bainbridge Island, Wash; a sister, Mary Beatty, Medford; and four grandchildren.

Dean Harold DeBerry
Dean Harold DeBerry, 71, of Medford, died Jan. 22, 2000, at Providence Medford Medical Center. Private interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
He was born July 6, 1928, in Corinth, W.Va. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1944.
On Sept. 9, 1979, in Reno, Nev., he married Linda M. Ritterspach, who survives.
Mr. DeBerry was a deputy at the Jackson County Sheriff's Department for more than 16 years. He later worked for Boise Cascade, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the White Earth band of the Minnesota Chippewa tribe of American Indians.
He was a longtime member of the American Legion and the National Guard.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Lee, Trail, and Bruce, Seattle; two daughters, Judy Olson, Spokane, Wash., and Kathie "Kitty" DeBerry, Seattle; two stepsons, John Hallett, Ontario, Calif., and David Hallett, Darrington, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Tasha Zaback, Portland, and Carla Hallett, Lynnwood, Wash.; and a sister, Daisy Cain, Spring Hill, Fla.
