Beatrice J. Frohreich
The funeral for Beatrice Jeanette Frohreich will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Apostolic Faith Church.
Mrs. Frohreich, 93, of Medford, died Sunday (Feb. 27, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Beatrice Smith on March 18, 1906, in Marion, Ind. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1928 from Yankton, S.D.
Ms. Frohreich worked for Medford Public Schools in the special education department for 23 years.
She had been affiliated with the Apostolic Faith Church since 1936.
Ms. Frohreich enjoyed playing in the orchestra, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School at the church.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Sorenson, Medford, Bernice Cole, Yakima, Wash., and Faye Stehlik, Portland; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold, in 1993; and two brothers.

Edward B. Riniker
Edward Bertram Riniker, 92, of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 28, 2000) at his home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born April 13, 1907, in Morris, Minn.
Mr. Riniker was a auditor for the State of California Board of Equalization for 20 years until his retirement. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1995 from Santa Ana, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Riniker was a member of the American Legion Elks Lodge No. 794 and the Orange County Historical Society, where he served as treasurer for four years.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Santa Ana. He was a deacon of the church for six years and served on the board of trustees for several years.
Mr. Riniker was awarded a certificate for the most beautiful yard by the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society.
Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Durbin, Medford; He was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Riniker, in 1970.

Gene E. Harris
The funeral Mass for Gene E. Harris will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. William Dillard will officiate.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mr. Harris, 72, of Medford, died Monday (Feb. 28, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 27, 1927, in San Antonio.
On July 2, 1948, in Ballinger, Texas, he married Anna Jean Fox, who survives.
Mr. Harris worked with the U.S. Border Patrol, retiring in 1977. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1980 from Chula Vista, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 11th Airborne Division.
Mr. Harris was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he served as eucharistic minister.
Mr. Harris was an avid golfer.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Vacie Anna Harris, Grants Pass, and Regina Milano, Lansdowne, Pa.; a son, Mark, Bainbridge Island, Wash.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Vincent G. Stephens
Vincent George Stephens, 81, of Central Point, died Sunday (Feb. 27, 2000) at the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles. The service will be held later. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 14, 1918, in Preston, Idaho, a son of Marion and Estella (Nielsen) Stephens.
On Jan. 16, 1949, in Oakland, Calif., he married Mildred Turk, who died in 1997.
Mr. Stephens was a coffee shop proprietor. He owned and operated the Alameda Sweette Shoppe in Alameda, Calif., from 1949 to 1957. He was also a Teamster route salesman. He moved to Oregon in 1979.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, as a technical sergeant of Company A, 394th Infantry.
Mr. Stephens was an Oakland Raiders fan. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening and was an expert with roses.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Havniear, Central Point; a son, Kent George, Reno, Nev.; a sister, Carmen Graham, Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Keith.

Nick Louis Taylor
Nick Louis Taylor, 83, of Medford, died Sunday (Feb. 27, 2000) at his home. No service is planned. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 23, 1917, in Detroit, a son of Louis and Mary (Mavrofrites) Nicholson.
On June 19, 1946, in Reno, Nev., he married Sophie Marcopulos, who survives.
Mr. Taylor was a telephone engineer. He moved to The Rogue Valley from California in 1990.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Taylor was an avid golfer. He was the past president of the Southern Oregon Senior Couple Golf Club, and was a member of Cedar Links Senior Golf Club.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Tom, Talent; a daughter, MaryLou Week, Beaverton; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Lottie Mabel Frost
The graveside service for Lottie Mabel Frost will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford.
Mrs. Frost, 95, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (Feb. 24, 2000) at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Lottie Fleming on July 10, 1904, at Moon Crossing in Gold Hill.
In 1924, in Gold Hill, she married John Frost, who preceded her in death. She moved to Grants Pass four years ago from Gold Hill.
Mrs. Frost was a member of the Garden Club, the Rebekahs, and the election board in Gold Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, Eileen Drake, Medford; a son, Victor, Grants Pass; two brothers, John and Loren Fleming, both Grants Pass; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mary Bewley
The funeral for Mary Bewley will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Medford Stake Center. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mrs. Bewley, 84, of Medford, died Saturday (Feb. 26, 2000) in Salmon, Idaho.
She was born March 4, 1915, in Muncie, Ind., a daughter of Lawrence and Lettie (Faller) Martin.
On Nov. 15, 1938, she married Elmo Bewley, who died in 1999. They moved to Northern California in 1940, where they lived for 40 years. They lived in Lake Havasu, Ariz. from 1977 to 1998, when they moved to Medford.
Survivors include a daughter, Bee Fitzhugh, Salmon, Idaho; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
