Violet Ada Olson
Violet Ada Olson, 93, of Medford, died Monday (March 6, 2000) at the Northridge Center in Medford. The memorial service will be held in Hayward, Wisc. Interment will be next to her husband in Greenwood Memorial Park, Hayward, Wisc.
She was born Feb. 22, 1907, in Spring Valley, Wisc., a daughter of Hans and Clara Thompson.
On Sept. 26, 1926, she married Norman G. Olson, who died in 1988.
Mrs. Olson was a dietary aide at Hayward High School in Wisconsin for several years.
She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Hayward, where she was an active member of the Ladies Aid Society. She moved to the Rogue Valley six years ago.
Mrs. Olson enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include three sons, Donald J., Central Point, Robert N. Hayward, Wisc., and Richard G., Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a daughter, Betty J. Snodgrass, Naples, Fla.; a brother, Mike Thompson, Cable, Wisc.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Ann Jordan, in 1988; two brothers, Herbert and Thomas Thompson; and two sisters, Hazel Piggott and Frieda Jensen.

Earl H. `Bud' Craft
Earl H. "Bud" Craft, 80, of Medford, formerly of Enterprise and Brookings, died Monday (March 6, 2000) at Medford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. No service is planned.

He was born Nov. 19, 1919, in El Centro, Calif., a son of Earl Lester and Elva (Michael) Craft.
On Nov. 8, 1941, in the new chapel at Shepherd Field in Wichita Falls, Texas, he married Josie Alice Smith, who survives.
Mr. Craft worked in logging in Brookings and Enterprise. He moved to the Rogue Valley from Brookings in 1993.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Craft was a member of the Elks Lodge in Brookings and the Masonic Lodge in Brookings and Enterprise.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Tonnette Mathias, Medford. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Theresa E. Snodgrass
The memorial service for Theresa E. Snodgrass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. Carmello Mifsud of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Jacksonville will officiate.
Mrs. Snodgrass, 67, of Ashland, died Monday (March 6, 2000) at her home.
She was born Sept. 25, 1932, in Portland, a daughter of Joseph and Ellen Mary (Craig) Pitts.
In 1948, in Portland, she married Ralph Snodgrass, who died in 1996. She moved to the Rogue Valley four years ago from Yreka, Calif.
Mrs. Snodgrass was a member of the Catholic church.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, reading and trips to Reno.
Survivors include five daughters, Mary Robbins, Medford, Karen Milhoan, Phoenix, Debby Sabin, Sutherlin, Pam Blackman, Granada Hills, Calif., and Marsha Motsenbocker, Bellevue, Wash.; three sons, Randy, Medford, Ralph, Redding, Calif., and Keith, Napa, Calif.; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony; and a grandson.

Mona G. Martini
The memorial service for Mona G. Martini will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Pastor John Minor of Simple Faith Fellowship will officiate.
Mrs. Martini, 84, of Ashland, died Monday (March 6, 2000) at her home.
She was born Feb. 28, 1916, in Hastings, Neb., a daughter of Herman and Amy Aspegren. She was raised in Nebraska.
On Nov. 6, 1936, in Hastings, Neb., she married John D. Martini, who preceded her in death. She moved from Sioux Falls, S.D., to Santa Barbara, Calif., in 1941. She lived in Hollywood, Studio City and Northridge, Calif., before moving to Ashland in 1984.
Mrs. Martini was an active volunteer for numerous organizations.
She was a member of All Saints Church in Beverly Hills, Calif., and Trinity Episcopal Church in Ashland.
Mrs. Martini was known for her flair and sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include her daughter, Monyeen Wilkey, Ashland; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren.

Glenn M. Revel
The memorial service for Glenn M. Revel will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Ashland. The Rev. Bunny Oliver will officiate. Interment with military honors will be at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.
Dr. Revel, 79, of Ashland, died Sunday (March 5, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born March 19, 1920, in Chase, Kan., a son of Julia and William Revel. He attended Kansas State University at Manhattan, Kan., where he studied architectural design. He graduated from Pacific University at Forest Grove in 1952 with a doctor of optometry degree.
On Dec. 31, 1942, in Chase, Kan., he married Carol Wharten, who survives.
Dr. Revel practiced optometry in Ashland for 30 years, retiring in 1980.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy as an airplane pilot. He was a primary flight instructor at NAS Dallas and was assigned to the VF14 Squadron on the USS WASP where he earned the honor of triple ace. He returned stateside and continued as a flight trainer. Following the war he served in the Naval Reserve and retired with the rank of commander in 1980.
Dr. Revel was a member of the Ashland Masonic Order and the Hillah Temple Shrine Club. He served on the Ashland City Council in the mid-1950s and on the airport committee.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served on the building committee during construction of the building now in use.
Dr. Revel was an aviation enthusiast, building and flying his own airplanes.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Julia McLaughlin and Dixie Knips, both Medford; four brothers, Stanley, Phoenix, Donald, Gresham, Ronald, Kimball, Neb., and Willis, Longmont, Colo.; a sister, Elaine Pugh, Great Bend, Kan.; three grandsons; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Revel; a brother and a sister.

Ruth E. Kettl
Ruth Ann Elvidge Kettl, 87, of Ashland, died Monday (March 6, 2000) at Ashland Community Hospital. A private service was held.
She was born July 17, 1912, in Meridian, Miss., a daughter of Fred and Ina Elvidge. She was raised in Mississippi.
On Feb. 8, 1941, she married John W. Kettl, who preceded her in death. She lived in Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas before settling in Los Angeles in 1951.
Mrs. Kettl operated the Ruth Kettl School of Dance, which provided dance instruction for ages three through adult. She was known to her students as "Miss Ruth." She moved to Ashland in 1999 to live with her daughter.
She was a member of several national and local profession dance organizations.
Mrs. Kettl enjoyed gambling and traveling.
Survivors include her daughter, Penny Herman, Ashland. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
