Helen Mary Danowski
Helen Mary Danowski, 79, of Medford, died Sunday (May 7, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford. No service is planned.

She was born Helen May Rogers on March 7, 1924, in Fitchburg, Mass.
Ms. Danowski was a captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, serving as a flight nurse.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Wiley, Medford, and Ann Quiett and Karen McClellan, both Colton, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Dawna Louise Bellus
The graveside service for Dawna Louise Bellus will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens in Grants Pass. Pastor Dan Robinson of Takilma Bible Church will officiate.
Mrs. Bellus, 37, of Takilma, died Friday (May 5, 2000) at her home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Francis Cheney Family Place, 2882 State St., Medford, OR 97504.
She was born Dawna Lennen on May 19, 1962, in Los Angeles. She moved to the Rogue Valley 14 years ago, and attended Grants Pass High School and Rogue Community College.
On Jan. 2, 1986, in Takilma, she married Charles A. Bellus Jr., who survives.
Mrs. Bellus was a homemaker.
She enjoyed gardening and crafts.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include six sons, Donald Lennen II, Russell McCarthy, Joe McCarthy, Doug McCarthy, Orion Bellus and Brandon Bellus, all Takilma; her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Kearney Smith, Grants Pass; three sisters, Keary McCowan and Deanna Lennen, both Grants Pass, and Debbie Crowell, El Cajon, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Lennen; and a brother, Kearney L. Smith Jr.

Edward A. Coffman
Edward A. Coffman, 100, of Medford, died Friday (May 5, 2000) at Hearthstone. No service is planned.
He was born Aug. 28, 1899, near Ruch, a fourth-generation Oregonian from a family that settled in the Applegate area in 1853. He lived in the Rogue Valley all his life.
Mr. Coffman was a miner. He also worked as a maintenance person for the City of Jacksonville.
Survivors include four nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; a sister; and seven brothers.

Anna Leigh Bohne
The funeral for Anna Leigh Bohne will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Medford Stake Center, 2900 Juanipero Way. Bishop Wayne Cowley of the Medford 1st Ward will officiate. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Bohne, 50, of Medford, died Saturday (May 6, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 2, 1949, in American Fork, Utah, a daughter of Clifford and Eva June (Chamberlain) Burningham.
On Oct. 11, 1969, in Moses Lake, Wash., she married Blaine L. Bohne, who survives. They moved to Oregon in 1979.
Mrs. Bohne was a service representative for US West.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her parents, Bill and Eva June Bunnell, Brookings; two sisters, Rebecca Russell and Candace Draper; and her stepmother, Anne Burningham, Los Angeles.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the LDS Church, 2900 Juanipero Way, Medford.

John 'Jack' Dale Tyler
The memorial service for John "Jack" Dale Tyler will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Stan Johnson of the West Main Church of Christ in Medford will officiate. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Tyler, 55, of Medford, died Thursday (May 4, 2000) in Portland.
The family is accepting donations for the Oregon Health Sciences University Heart Transplant Fund, c/o the John D. Tyler Memorial Fund, Acct. # 1446443, Rogue Federal Credit Union, 1123 Royal Ave., Medford, OR 97504.
He was born Nov. 7, 1944, in Ainsworth, Neb., a son of Van and Dorothy (Nissen) Tyler. In 1962, at Dalton High School, he set a Nebraska High School Championship running event record, that held until recently. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1962 from Chadron, Neb. He lived in Ashland from 1962 to 1963, graduating from Ashland High School in 1963. He also attended Southern Oregon University. He lived in Grants Pass from 1979 to 1981, when he moved to Medford.
On June 22, 1968, in Wautoma, Wis., he married Nancy J. Fritz, who survives.
Mr. Tyler owned and operated the K-9 House and was known as "Jack the Hot Dog Man." He catered auctions for Wayne Liska of Liska and Associates, Inc. of Grants Pass, for Dwayne Brood of the Red Barn Auction in Phoenix, and for Duane McClean Auctions in Medford. He retired in 1998, after working 18 years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Tyler was a foster parent for 18 years, and was a member and served on the board of the Foster Parent Association. He was a member of the Eagle Scouts, Troop 92, in Dalton, Neb. Locally, he was a member of the Little Butte Mountainmen, and CERVS in 1999.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and black powder shooting.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two foster sons, Scott Brown, in Oregon, and Mike Quillen, in Washington; a foster daughter, Jazzman Pereschica, in Arizona; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Frank Mee, Central Point; a brother, James, Gold Hill; three sisters, Jodi Wheeler, Grants Pass, and Jaci Daskarolis and Judy Ryan, both in California. He was preceded in death by his father, Van Bernard Tyler, in 1955.

James Connell Bishop
The graveside service for James Connell Bishop will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Bishop, 90, of Klamath Falls, died Wednesday (May 3, 2000) at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary in White City.
He was born Jan. 7, 1910, in Mapleton, N.D.
Mr. Bishop worked in the lily fields in Brookings. He moved to the Rogue Valley two months ago from Klamath Falls.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Bishop was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his companion, Elaine Mikkelsen, Klamath Falls; and a daughter, Mary Jones, Medford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ona.

Neva Ann Hecker
The memorial service for Neva Ann Hecker will be at noon Wednesday at Sams Valley Community Church. Pastor Matt Sapp will officiate. A reception will follow the service at the church.
Mrs. Hecker, 48, of White City, died Sunday (May 7, 2000) at her home.
She was born July 1, 1951, in Lebanon. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1979.
In December 1997, she married Leo Hecker, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hecker owned and operated Secondary Wood Products, a wood product manufacturing business.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Dhamendra Nath, Central Point; a daughter, Margaret Hecker, White City; a stepson, Daniel Hecker, Milwaukie; three brothers, Gene Gresham, White City, Robert Gresham, Klamath Falls, and Tim Gresham, in California; a sister, Gail McGee, Phoenix; and a granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gene Sr. and Margaret Gresham.
