Donald David Mann
The funeral for Donald David Mann will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Central Valley Chapel. Pastor Dave Humphreys of the Phoenix Church of Christ will officiate. Private interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Mann, 35, of Grants Pass, died Sunday (May 28, 2000) at his home.
He was born Oct. 29, 1964, in Medford, a son of Donald and Sharon (Hulse) Mann.
Mr. Mann lived in Medford, Grants Pass and Salem.
He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his parents, Donald and Sharon Mann, Medford; a brother, Sam, Lafayette, La.; and his grandparents Alfred Hulse, Medford, and Martha Mann, Medford. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lula Hulse and Ethel Hulse; and his grandfather, Ralph Mann.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at Central Valley Cremation & Funeral Care, Central Point.
Christine M. Richardson
Christine Marie (Persson) Richardson, 38, of Portland, formerly of Gold Hill, died May 19, 2000, at her home. The memorial and graveside services were held in Portland on May 23.

She was born March 18, 1962, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., a daughter of Harry and Marie (Leifer) Persson. She grew up in Gold Hill and graduated from Crater High School.
On April 21, 1990, in Portland, she married Mike Richardson, who survives.
Mrs. Richardson attended the Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, and was very active in her church.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Richardson enjoyed home schooling her boys and writing.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Aaron and Matthew, both Portland; two brothers, Ed Persson and Eric Persson, both Gold Hill; and a sister, Teresa Persson, Ashland. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marie Persson.

John Louis Thompson
The graveside service for John Louis Thompson will be at 1 p.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, 81, of Central Point, died Monday (May 29, 2000) at his home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1918, in Saskatchewan, Canada.
On June 11, 1945, in Reno, Nev., he married Gracie Henley, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley 40 years ago from Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr. Thompson was a commercial building contractor.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Thompson enjoyed traveling, reading and TV news.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a sister, Lillian Moog, Lakeside, Calif.; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe; and a sister, Beatrice Thompson.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to noon today at Central Valley Cremation & Funeral Care, Central Point.
Josephine ‘Jo’ Slack
Josephine "Jo" Slack, 73, of Medford, died Sunday (May 28, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Josephine Ruta on Jan. 30, 1927, in Waterbury, Conn. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1946 from Connecticut.
Ms. Slack was a former member of the Prospect Garden Club.
She enjoyed crafts, sewing and crocheting, making dolls and helping others.
Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Sparks, Wichita Falls, Texas; a sister, Marie Ruta, Waterbury, Conn.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Russ Slack, in 1999.

Shawna M. Michael
Shawna M. Michael, 35, of Central Point, died Saturday (May 27, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Nov. 14, 1964, in Central Point. She returned to the Rogue Valley 20 years ago from Montpelier, Idaho.
Ms. Michael enjoyed spending time with her family, painting and reading.
Survivors include two sons, Ashley T. Michael and Cameron S. Michael, both Central Point; two daughters, Shasta M. Michael and Tasheena N. Long, both Central Point; her mother, Nina J. Lash, Gold Hill; her father, Jerry E. Michael, Central Point; two brothers, Mark Lindvall, Portland, and Jody Lindvall, Elk Grove, Calif.; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Marie Ownby, in 1987; and Marie Blessing, in 1995.

Frank Bernard Nicholson
The memorial service for Frank Bernard Nicholson will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Christ Unity Church in Medford. Masonic services are pending.
Mr. Nicholson, 82, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (May 27, 2000) at Hearthstone.

He was born June 29, 1917, in Leadville, Colo.
On Oct. 17, 1986, in Medford, he married Florence Harriett Allen, who survives.
Mr. Nicholson worked as a machinist, millwright, tool and die maker, millwright supervisor and plant assistant engineer. He moved to Grants Pass in 1986 from Boise, Idaho, where he had lived for seven years.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Nicholson was a 50-year Mason and a member of Christ Unity Church in Medford.
He was an avid reader and golfer and enjoyed dancing and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Frank Bernard II, Boise, Idaho; four stepdaughters, Judy and Leeanne, both in California, Bonnie, Honolulu, and Maudeen, Hillsboro; one granddaughter; and several step-grandchildren.

Lucy Ann Storey
The graveside service for Lucy Ann Storey will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Bob Gass of Harvest Baptist Temple will officiate.
Mrs. Storey, 72, of Medford, died Tuesday (May 30, 2000) at her home.
She was born April 7, 1928, in Earlington, Ky., a daughter of Albert and Ellen (Haynes) Baldwin.
On Feb. 5, 1975, in Marietta, Ga., she married Jack L. Storey, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1994 from Marietta, Ga.
Mrs. Storey was a secretary for the Cobb County Board of Education in Marietta, Ga., for 25 years, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Detroit.
Mrs. Storey enjoyed traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Lisa Ikeda, San Leandro, Calif.; a son, Sam Camp, Honeydew, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Sandra Monroe, Benbrook, Texas, and Brenda Slaughter and Cheryl Costello, both Winona, Texas; a stepson, Douglas Storey, Matthews, N.C.; a brother, Sam Baldwin, Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
