Hazel Dell Johnson
Hazel Dell Johnson, 91, of Central Point, died Thursday (June 8, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service will be held. Private interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to any hospice organization.
She was born Hazel Dell Pernell on Jan. 29, 1909, in Kentwood, La.
On July 28, 1962, in Salem, she married Otis H. Johnson, who died in 1989. She lived in Ashland until 1963, when she moved to Grants Pass. She moved to Central Point in 1993.
Mrs. Johnson was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Gertson, Ashland; a stepson, Otis H. Johnson Jr., Donald, Ore.; a brother, Howard Pernell, Klamath Falls; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Robert M. Gilinsky
Robert Michael Gilinsky, 41, of Corvallis, formerly of Rogue River, died June 4, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital. A private celebration of his life will be held.
He was born Feb. 25, 1959, in Grants Pass, a son of Robert J. Gilinsky of Rogue River and Mary Lou Raines of Albany. He attended Rogue River High School and lived in the Rogue Valley for many years.
Mr. Gilinsky was a logger and tree arborist.
He enjoyed the outdoors, camping and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby Jr., and Michael, both Gold Hill; a brother, Joel Lee, Portland; and two sisters, Jacquelyn G. Gilinsky, Medford, and Shannon J. Darland, Roseburg.
Margaret Theresa Moran
The funeral Mass for Margaret Theresa Moran will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Ms. Moran, 76, of Medford, died Thursday (June 8, 2000) at her home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, Hospice, 691 Murphy Road, Suite 236, Medford, OR 97504.
She was born Margaret Moran on Sept. 30, 1923, in Waterbury, Conn. She graduated from Wilby High School in Waterbury. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1995 from Belmont, Calif.
Ms. Moran was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother, John F. Moran, Palo Alto, Calif. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward J. Moran.

Lloyd Paul Chadd
A family memorial service for Lloyd Paul Chadd will be at 10 a.m. today at Hillcrest Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Road in Medford. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.
Mr. Chadd, 75, of Central Point, died Wednesday (June 7, 2000) at his home.

Mr. Chadd was born May 21, 1925, in Bellevue, Neb., a son to Charles and Mabel Chadd. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1956 from Omaha, Neb.
On Aug. 5, 1944, in Bellevue, Neb., he married Wilma Lampert, who survives.
Mr. Chadd was a member of the Medford Elks. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was discharged in October 1946. He later worked as a service manager at Roberts Motors in Medford.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Martin Chadd of Eagle Point; three daughters, Lori Cloud of Central Point, Virginia R. Sasse of Eagle Point and Jean M. Sinks of Grants Pass; a sister, Mary Thomas of White City; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers: Clare, Donald and Earl.

Fred James Schmidt
Fred James Schmidt, 78, of Medford, died Sunday (June 11, 2000) at Medford Rehabilitation. No services are planned.
He was born Nov. 19, 1921, in Chicago, Ill. He moved to the Rogue Valley from California in 1982.
In 1942, in King City, Calif., he married Barbara Jane Starbird, who died in 1992.
Mr. Schmidt operated The Bicycle Den in Granada Hills, Calif., and was a member of the Medford Moose. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey John Schmidt and Gregory James Schmidt, both of Gold Hill; two daughters, Barbara Faley of Trail and Deborah K. Richter of Fair Oaks, Calif.; a sister, Kay Cavallcro of Carson City, Nev.; and five grandchildren.

Shirley Elaine Wieskamp
The Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley Elaine Wieskamp will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crescent City, Calif. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 7 tonight at Wier’s Mortuary Chapel in Crescent City.
Mrs. Weiskamp, 71, of Crescent City, Calif., formerly of the Rogue Valley, died Friday (June 9, 2000) in Gasquet, Calif., as the result of an automobile accident.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul, 1401 Northcrest Drive, Crescent City, CA 95531, or St. Joseph Catholic School, 440 Third St., Crescent City, CA 95531.
She was born March 10, 1929, in Hannah, N.D. She grew up in the Medford/Ashland area and graduated from Ashland High School. She was a 36-year resident of Crescent City.
Mrs. Wieskamp had served as the Crescent BPOE Elks Lodge secretary for the past 21 years.
She was also a member of the Crescent Emblem Club, T.O.P.S. Club, Del Norte Historical Society, California Women’s Bowling Association and the Crescent City Women’s Club. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul and the Del Norte County Museum.
Mrs. Wieskamp was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the St. Joseph’s Women’s Society.
Survivors include two sons, Jim, North Plains and Chris Jr., Williams; four daughters, Peggy Ahlgrim, North Bend, Cherie Moffatt, Crescent City, Calif., Judy Peterson, Lewiston, Idaho, and Karen Bertolini, Fort Dick, Calif.; a sister, Norma Montgomery, Vallejo, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Wieskamp; a brother, Mark Balfour; and two grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Wier’s Chapel, 408 G St., Crescent City.
Sterling A. Webb
Sterling A. Webb, 86, of Medford, died Thursday (June 8, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
Mr. Webb was born May 14, 1914, in Oakland, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1975 from Berkeley, Calif.
Survivors include two stepsons, Joseph M. Jones, Rogue River, and Chris Jones, in Texas; a stepdaughter, Edith Broom, in Florida; and two step-grandchildren.

Lillian May Costa
Lillian May Costa, 73, of Medford, died Thursday (June 8, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Lillian Heck on Jan 2, 1927, in Tulare, Calif.
On Oct. 30, 1946, in Hanford, Calif., she married Pete G. Costa, who survives.
Mrs. Costa moved to Brookings from California. She lived in Brookings for four years and moved to Medford three years ago.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and working on jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Pete G. Jr. and Robert, both White City, and Vernon, Lucerne Valley, Calif.; seven daughters, Debbie Corney, Hermiston, Virginia Walker, Sacramento, Calif., Beverly Estes, Fresno, Calif., Rosie Arnold, Lucerne Valley, Calif., Kathy Spange, Madera, Calif., Linda Canada, Oakdale, Calif., and Terrie Del Rio, Santa Maria, Calif.; a sister, Gertrude Rendino, Clovis, Calif.; 24 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
