Jack Gillaspey Jr.
Jack Gillaspey Jr., 81, of Central Point, died Friday, (June 23, 2000) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born October 30, 1918 in Wallowa, Ore. He moved to Central Point from Wallowa in 1927.
On April 13, 1938, in Medford, he married Ruby Brood, who survives.
Mr. Gillaspey was a dairy farmer for 27 years with Birdsey Farms. He retired in 1977.
He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Ronald and Donald, both of Central Point, and Leroy, McKinleyville, Calif.; a daughter, Jackie Miller, Eagle Point; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grand children.

Frank ‘Bob’ Alley Jr.
Frank Robertson "Bob" Alley Jr., 79, of Medford, died Wednesday (June 21, 2000) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born July 4, 1920, in Princeton, Mo., a son of Frank and Fanny Alley. He graduated from Menlo Junior College in Menlo Park, Calif., and Pomona College in Claremont, Calif.
On April 28, 1947, in Medford, he married Patricia Thompson, who survives.
Mr. Alley and his brother, Dick, owned and operated Alley Bros. Lumber Co. Founded by his father and uncle, Alley Bros. had mills in Phoenix and Prospect and lumber yards in Southern California.
He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Mr. Alley was a member of the Rogue River Valley University Club.
He contributed to many local causes, including the Rogue Valley Medical Center, Mercy Flights and St. Mary’s School.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons; and six grandchildren. A daughter, Jennifer, preceded him in death.

Anthony Frank Fasulo
The memorial service for Anthony Frank Fasulo will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Medford. Elder Steve Tallman will officiate.
Mr. Fasulo, 97, of Medford, died Tuesday (June 20, 2000) at his home.

He was born March 22, 1903, in Burgio Girgenti, Italy, a son of Frank and Josephine (Provenzano) Fasulo.
On Feb. 26, 1927, in Springfield, Mass., he married Mary Olearo, who survives.
Mr. Fasulo was a house painter for 45 years, retiring in 1968.
He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses for 75 years.
Mr. Fasulo enjoyed discussing the Bible, visiting with family and friends and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Josephine Brittain, Medford; two sons, Frank, Grover Beach, Calif., and James, Montgomery, Ala.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Battaglia and Rose Berlino.

‘Lee’ McClosky Morton
Leota "Lee" McClosky Morton, 74, of Medford, died Wednesday (June 21, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
She was born Leota Smith on July 12, 1925, in Prior, Okla.
Ms. Morton served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
She was an amateur archaeologist and enjoyed exploring in the deserts across the country.
Survivors include three sons, James Higginbotham, Central Point, Michael Morton, Medford, and Donald Morton, Eagle Point; a sister, Susie Rodick, in Arizona; two brothers, Marvin Smith, Medford, and Ira Smith, Stockton, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Virginia L. Wickersham
The memorial reception for Virginia L. Wickersham will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at 2993 Seckel St., Medford. The Rev. Paul McQueen of Phoenix Presbyterian Church will officiate.
Ms. Wickersham, 84, of Medford, died Sunday (June 18, 2000) at her home.

She was born Virginia Lee King on June 1, 1916, in Cawker City, Kan. She graduated from Ashland High School in 1934; from Southern Oregon Normal School in 1936; and received a bachelor’s degree in education in 1966 from what is now known as Southern Oregon University.
In November 1937, in Redding, Calif., she married Scott R. Wickersham. They later divorced.
Ms. Wickersham was a teacher. She taught at Evans Valley School, Gold Hill School and Phoenix School in the 1940s. She taught at Hoover Elementary from 1962 to 1984, when she retired.
She volunteered with the YMCA board of directors, and the Macular Degeneration support group. She was also a Cub Scout leader, a 4-H leader, a Laubach Literacy tutor, and a church/Christian educational teacher.
Ms. Wickersham enjoyed teaching children, reading, history and travel.
Survivors include two sons, Rick, Grants Pass, and Mike, Las Vegas; a daughter, Linda Kremer, Emigrant, Mont.; a sister, Nancy Henderson, Medford; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her former husband, Scott Wickersham.

John Caucutt
John Caucutt, 85, of Ashland, died Monday (June 19, 2000) in Ashland. A private service will be held later.
He was born Jan. 10, 1915, in London, a son of Alfred and Elizabeth Caucutt.
On Aug. 15, 1936, in London, he married Charlotte E. Lines, who survives.
Mr. Caucutt was a mechanic. He moved to Ashland in 1982 from Los Gatos, Calif.
He enjoyed flying with his son, gardening and race cars.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, David, Ashland, Alan, Los Gatos, Calif., and John, London; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five sisters and seven brothers.

Dennis Terry Denman
The graveside service for Dennis Terry Denman will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.
Mr. Denman, 51, of Eagle Point, died Tuesday (June 20, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born May 11, 1949, in Medford, a son of Donald A. and Patricia V. (Foster) Denman. He attended Central Point schools.
On March 16, 1980, in Riverside, Calif., he married Joan Louise Evans, who survives.
Mr. Denman was a millworker. He lived in the Rogue Valley all his life, and in Eagle Point for the past 17 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Aaron, Eagle Point, and Shawn, Central Point; a daughter, April Denman, Eagle Point; his parents, D.A. and Patricia Denman, La Pine; a brother, Jesse, in California; two sisters, Dawn McShan, White City, and Winter Bounds, Portland.
