Elwin LeRoy Austin
The graveside service for Elwin LeRoy Austin will be at 11 a.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Austin, 84, of Central Point, died Wednesday (June 28, 2000) at his home.
He was born March 25, 1916, in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
On Feb. 8, 1946, in Nevada, he married Mary Hight, who survives.
Mr. Austin was a construction contractor with Ship a Shore in Smith River, Calif., retiring in 1978.
He served in the U.S. Army with the 130th Ordnance Maintenance Battalion during World War II in Eastern Europe, the Rhineland and the Ardennes.
Mr. Austin enjoyed his family, friends and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Lynda Currier, Central Point; a son, Joel, Ketchikan, Alaska; two brothers, Orion, Central Point, and Bob, Yreka, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Al and Bill; and three sisters, Blossom Angell, Violet Ayres and Rose Riener.

David Treff Little
David Treff Little, 72, of Ashland, died May 30, 2000, in Ashland. A private service was held.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born May 15, 1928, in Wenatchee, Wash.
Mr. Little taught marketing and advertising at California State University, Fullerton. He moved to Ashland in 1988 following his retirement.
He enjoyed playing tennis, hiking, and singing in his barbershop quartet.
Survivors include his goddaughter, Anne Bell, Bellevue, Wash.; and his godson, Eric Yamada, Shoreline, Wash.

Ruth Lorene Williams
Ruth Lorene Williams, 97, of Central Point, died Sunday (June 25, 2000) at her home. Private inurnment will be in Santa Cruz, Calif.
She was born Dec. 12, 1902, in Hilda, Mo., a daughter of Charles and Amanda (Baird) McKedy.
She married Millard F. Williams, who died in 1963.
Mrs. Williams was a homemaker. She lived in Clear Lake, Calif., for 24 years; Santa Cruz, Calif., for 26 years; and in Missouri for 46 years. She moved to Central Point a year ago.
She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include three sons, Charles, Kailua Kona, Hawaii, Monte, Pahrump, Nev., and Henry, Redding, Calif.; six daughters, Linda Williams, Central Point, Deborah Rocchi, Bremerton, Wash., Martha Arment, Moberly, Mo., Juanita Hires, Springfield, Mo., Colleen David, Woodland, Calif., and Oleta Bracken, Tonopah, Nev.; 27 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Eric; and a daughter, Eva Hyatt.

Joe Leeroy Shults
Joe Leeroy Shults, 77, of Medford, died May 19, 2000, in Portland.
He was born Feb. 17, 1923, in Ashton, Idaho, a son of Mitchel D. and Mary Rose (Porritt) Shults. He graduated from Medford High School in 1942.
On May 31, 1953, in Medford, he married Arlene Rose Settle, who survives.
Mr. Shults worked for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1983.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Joseph Lee, Paul Richard and Timothy Gene; two brothers, George, Portland, and Wayne, Las Vegas; three sisters, Mildred Cramer, and Ruth Friesen, both Medford, and Eva Reitmeier, Portland; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and Ray; and a sister, Lucille Comstock.

Jeanne Zimmerman
The graveside service for Jeanne Zimmerman will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford. Jeannine Morgan will officiate.
Mrs. Zimmerman, 80, of Medford, died Tuesday (June 27, 2000) at Hearthstone in Medford.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southern Oregon Chapter, 33 N. Central, Medford, OR 97501.
She was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Lone Wolf, Okla., a daughter of Henry and Clara Stanton. She attended Wilson High School in Long Beach Calif., and what is now Southern Oregon University.
On May 3, 1955, in Riverside, Calif., she married Fred Zimmerman, who died in 1978. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1959.
Mrs. Zimmerman retired from several different careers.
She served in the U.S. Army with the Adjutant General’s Office Intelligence Bureau in Japan.
Mrs. Zimmerman enjoyed world travel, oil painting, rock hounding and photography.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeannine Conroy Morgan, Medford; a son, John Robert Crowe Jr., Newport; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Jeramie Allan Young
The memorial service for Jeramie Allan Young will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Chapel in Medford.
Mr. Young, 29, of Madison, Md., formerly of Medford, died Saturday (June 24, 2000) in Collins, Miss.
He was born June 8, 1971, in Medford. He graduated from Brookwood High School in Lilburn, Ga.
Mr. Young was a sales representative for Sunrise Sales and Marketing in Bradenton, Fla. He was also a self-employed roofer.
He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Mr. Young enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Larry and Kris Young, Bradenton, Fla.; his mother, Claudette Goodwin, El Cajon, Calif.; and a brother, Jacob, Madison, Miss. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joshua.
Among his survivors are his maternal grandmother, Rosella Granburg, Medford; his paternal grandparents, Glenn and Edith Young, Bradenton, Fla.; and his maternal great-grandfather, James Sealy, Medford.

James Erich Fiuren
The graveside service for James Erich Fiuren will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Phoenix Cemetery in Phoenix. Pastor Chad McComas of Set Free Christian Fellowship in Medford will officiate. Inurnment will be in Phoenix Cemetery.
Mr. Fiuren, 35, of Eagle Point, died Friday (June 23, 2000) at his home.
He was born June 23, 1965, in St. Louis.
On July 11, 1986, in Medford, he married Karen Greenwood, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1972 from San Jose, Calif.
Mr. Fiuren was a computer technician and appliance salesman for Montgomery Wards in Medford.
He was a member of the Set Free Christian Fellowship.
Mr. Fiuren enjoyed computers and "Star Trek."
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Heather, Jessica and Cassandra Fiuren, all Eagle Point; his parents, Frank B. and Donna (Wayland) Wachter, Eagle Point; and two sisters, Christina Fiuren and Teresa Fiuren, both Ashland.
