Floyd Richard McCabe
The funeral for Floyd Richard McCabe will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Butte Falls Assembly of God. The Rev. Steve Harvey will officiate. The graveside service will follow at Butte Falls Cemetery.
Mr. McCabe, 78, of Butte Falls, died Sunday (July 2, 2000) at Rose Haven Nursing Center in Roseburg.
He was born Jan. 9, 1922, in Jacksonville, a son of Charles and Malvina (Preston) McCabe, pioneers who moved to a ranch in the Rogue River area in 1906.
He attended grade school in Butte Falls and Medford High School.
Mr. McCabe was a self-employed logger and wood cutter. He also worked in the shipyards in the San Francisco area.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. McCabe was a member of the Medford Royal Neighbors.
He enjoyed tinkering with machines and writing newspaper articles.
Survivors include a brother, Charles, Butte Falls; and a sister, Hazel Durbin, Beattyville, Ky. He was preceded in death by a baby sister, Grace McCabe.
Friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Butte Falls Assembly of God.

Arden Ray Pinkham
Arden Ray Pinkham, 83, of Central Point, died Monday (July 3, 2000) at his home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in the Central Point Masonic Cemetery.
He was born June 28, 1917, in Declo, Idaho, a son of Nathan and Alice Pinkham. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1938 from Idaho.
On April 18, 1942, in Reno, Nev., he married Elizabeth "Libby" Hamilton, who survives.
Mr. Pinkham worked for the City of Central Point as city marshall, magistrate, city recorder, and with the maintenance department. He also worked as an escrow officer for Crater Title until his retirement in 1982.
He served in the U.S. Army as an infantry staff sergeant during World War II.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Cliff, Central Point, and Russell, Pueblo, Colo.; a daughter Allison Pinkham, Central Point; three brothers, John and Berkley, both Central Point, and Ernest, Snohomish, Wash.; a sister, Marian Miller, Central Point; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

‘Bob’ Allen Eicher
The memorial service for Robert "Bob" Allen Eicher will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Central Point. Pastor Damon McCoy will officiate. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
Mr. Eicher, 45, of Central Point, died Sunday (July 2, 2000) at his home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1954, in Medford, a son of Wilbur and Nancy (Potter) Eicher. He graduated from Crater High School in 1972 and lived in the Rogue Valley all his life.
On Dec. 7, 1984, in Gold Hill, he married Anna Krause, who survives.
Mr. Eicher was a millwright for Boise Cascade for 23 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Janna and Susan Eicher, Central Point; two brothers, Bill, Nyssa, and Bruce, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Becky Phillips, Medford and Beth Eicher, Houston.

Genevieve E. Kennerley
Genevieve E. Kennerley, 88, of Medford, died Saturday (July 1, 2000) at Hearthstone. No service is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Genevieve Brown on April 16, 1912, in Portland. She attended Jackson Elementary School and Medford High School. She graduated from Sherwood Music School in Chicago in 1960.
On March 21, 1938, in Medford, she married Wilfred "Bill" H. Kennerley, who died in 1975.
Mrs. Kennerley taught piano and voice lessons in her Medford home for many years. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
Survivors include two stepchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Betty Thorson.

Hozie Buford King
The funeral for Hozie Buford King will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Conger-Morris Chapel in Medford. Entombment will be in Bellview Memorial Park in Ontario, Calif.
Mr. King, 80, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 4, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford.
He was born July 17, 1919, in Huntsville, Ark.
In 1940, in Ontario, Calif., he married Lois Alleene Mankin, who survives.
Mr. King worked for the City of Ontario Motor Pool as a heavy equipment mechanic for 34 years before retiring. He moved to the Rogue Valley 11 years ago from Ontario, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. King was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) in Ontario, Calif. for many years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Linda Outfleet, Jacksonville; a son, Earl, Phoenix; two brothers, John Peterson, Apache Junction, Ariz., and Rufford King, Beaumont, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Harold ‘Skip’ Englert
The graveside service for Harold "Skip" F. Englert will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Englert, 74, of Medford, formerly of Portola, Calif., died Thursday (June 29, 2000) at his daughter’s home in Medford.

He was born Oct. 14, 1925, in Nevada, Mo.
On June 15, 1943, in Reno, Nev., he married Mary Carter, who survives.
Mr. Englert was a founding member of the Portola Railroad Museum. He served as past president of the city and county Chamber of Commerce and as past president of the Rotary in Portola. He also helped start "Railroad Days" and taught Elderhostel, an educational program for seniors.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Englert attended the Graeagle Community Church. He moved to the Rogue Valley one week ago.
He enjoyed playing golf.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Janis Monson and Kathy Barnett, both Medford, and Leslie Rohr, Springfield; a sister, Wilma Dillard, Springfield; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kennith; and a grandson.

Evelyn Johnson-Williams
The memorial service for Evelyn M. Johnson-Williams will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The Rev. Paul Robinson of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate.
Mrs. Johnson-Williams, 83, of Medford, died Friday (June 30, 2000) at Farmington Square.

She was born Oct. 8, 1916, in Palisade, Minn., a daughter of Hugo and Marie (Abor) Beck. She moved to the Rogue Valley 50 years ago.
In 1986, in Reno, Nev., she married Benjamin Williams, who survives.
Mrs. Johnson-Williams was a cook at various nursing homes in the Rogue Valley.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Gerald Johnson, Medford; a daughter, Linda Twitchell, Central Point; two sisters, Ethel Nelson, Aitkin, Minn., and Ella Olson, Canyonville; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Johnson, in 1976; and two brothers, Evald and Einar Beck.
