Esther Victoria Burnham
The cryptside service for Esther Victoria Burnham will be at 9 a.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford.
Mrs. Burnham, 92, of Rogue River, died Wednesday (July 26, 2000) in Grants Pass.
She was born Jan. 13, 1908.
On Sept. 22, 1954, in California, she married Earlston B. Burnham, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Burnham worked as a florist and a restaurant cook. She moved to the Rogue Valley 30 years ago from California.
She was a member of Rogue Valley Community Church and the Senior Club of Rogue River.
Survivors include a sister, Margaret Church, Rogue River; and a brother, Jacob Flaming, Salem. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Flaming.

Jeffrey Lynn Brignone
The memorial service for Jeffrey Lynn Brignone will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Applegate Christian Fellowship. Pastor Web Staunton will officiate.
Mr. Brignone, 35, of Medford, died Thursday (July 27, 2000) at his home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1964, in Grants Pass, a son of Joseph Howard and Evon R. (Zerr) Brignone. He lived in the Rogue Valley his entire life.
On Oct. 26, 1985, in Medford, he married Leanne Smith, who survives.
Mr. Brignone served in the U.S. Navy as a fire control technician in the submarine force aboard the USS Bremerton.
He was a member of the Applegate Christian Fellowship and the American Legion.
Mr. Brignone enjoyed electronics and spending time with his family.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Christopher, Joseph and Cory, all Medford; his mother, Evon Zerr, Medford; his father, Joseph Brignone, Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Troy Crumley, Medford; and his grandmother, Pearl Zerr, Medford.

Mae Q. McDowell
The funeral for Mae Q. McDowell will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Perl Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. McDowell, 83, of Central Point, died Thursday (July 27, 2000) at her home.

She was born March 22, 1917, in Glasgow, Mo., a daughter of Alexander and Molly (Nelson) Quenette.
On Aug. 12, 1938, in Chicago, she married Chauncey R. McDowell, who died in 1992. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964 from California.
Mrs. McDowell owned and operated Economy Market in Central Point for seven years. She also worked as a cook at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She was a member of the Central Point City Council and the Central Point Budget Committee. She also did volunteer work with ACCESS, and was amateur athlete of the week at Powerhouse Gym.
Survivors include three daughters, Elaine Burns, Eagle Point, Cynthia Brickley, Salem, and Dennise Mock, Gleneig, Maryland; a brother, Roy Quenette, Genoa, Ill.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Clyde ‘Robbie’ Robison
The graveside service for Clyde "Robbie" Edgar Robison will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery Interment Shelter. Pastor Bob Gass of Harvest Baptist Church will officiate.
Mr. Robison, 62, of Eagle Point, died Wednesday (July 26, 2000) at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Portland.
He was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Kennett, Mo., a son of Edgar and Bernice (Maus) Robison.
On Jan. 11, 1975, in Ross, Calif., he married Marcia A. Harrison, who survives.
Mr. Robison was a security guard in the shipyards in California. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1986 from Sausalito, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Matthew Robison, Eagle Point, and Martin Meyer, El Cajon, Calif.; two daughters, Katherine Womelsdorf, Eagle Point, and Elizabeth Hatfield, White City.; and six grandchildren.

Virginia Tyler
The funeral for Virginia McClure Chittock Tyler will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Perl Funeral Chapel, Medford. Mrs. Tyler, 85, of Medford, died Thursday (July 27, 2000) at her home.
She was born May 20, 1915, in Crittendon County, Ky., a daughter of Charles and Clara E. McClure.
On July 29, 1933, in Roseburg, she married Charles Chittock. Mr. Chittock died in September of 1972.
On May 15, 1977, in Reno, Nev., she married William Tyler, who preceded her in death in March 1999.
Mrs. Tyler was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, rock hounding and camping. She was known for her chocolate cakes.
Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Culver, Mary Sue Bailey and Sharon Wright, all Medford, and Barbara Curran, Menlo Park, Calif.; a son, Ernest Tyler, Marysville, Wash; and three sisters, Ellie Finnegan, Salem, Katherine Ruston, Ellensburg, Wash., and Mary Lee Tucker, Rock Hall, Maryland; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

William Jerald Lewis
William Jerald Lewis, 74, of Gold Hill, died Thursday (July 27, 2000) at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. Inurnment will be at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 30, 1925 in Medford, a son of Joseph Lewis and Ruth Musky Lewis.
On July 3, 1972, in Gold Hill, he married Wanda W. Robertson, who survives.
Mr. Lewis served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He worked for General Motors as a quality control engineer from 1954 to 1966. He moved home to the Rogue Valley, where he owned and operated the Gold Hill Hotel and the Savage Creek Market.
He enjoyed fishing, boating and old cars.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry, Eagle Point, Buck Bocardy, Sams Valley, Ed Damon, Medford; and two daughters, Linda Whitehouse, Gold Hill, Kay Simon, Eugene; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was a son, Michael, in 1983.
Charles ‘Norman’ Gail
The memorial service for Charles "Norman" Gail will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Gold Hill United Methodist Church. Pastor Jack Cornell will officiate. Private interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mr. Gail, 90, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 18, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born June 6, 1910, in Trumble County, Ohio, a son of Charles and Bessie Gail. He attended high school in Trail, S.D., and majored in forestry at the University of Montana. He moved to the Rogue Valley in the 1930s from South Dakota.
On Nov. 15, 1934, in Medford, he married El’low Mae Wilson, who survives.
Mr. Gail owned The Riverside Market, Gail’s Gold Hill Market, Wimer Market, and most recently he sold insurance for Farmers Insurance in Medford for 15 years.
His volunteer activities included serving as the original chairman of the board for the Valley of the Rogue Bank for 15 years, as a 4-H leader for 17 years, and on the District 6 School Board, the Jackson County Fair Board and the Jackson County Irrigation Board.
Mr. Gail enjoyed helping others.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Don, Northridge, Calif.; two daughters, Grace Johnson, Portland, and Mildred Davies, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; two brothers, Budd, Medford, and Robert, Rogue River; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
