Richard A. Palmieri

The funeral Mass for Richard A. Palmieri will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford. Father William Dillard will officiate. The graveside service will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.

Rosary will be recited at 8 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford.

Mr. Palmieri, 81, of Medford, died Monday (July 24, 2000) at his home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Medical Center Foundation, Hospice, 691 Murphy Road, Suite 236, Medford, OR 97504.

He was born April 26, 1919, in Akron, Ohio.

On Jan. 3, 1959, in Los Angeles, he married Frances E. Hawthorne, who survives.

Mr. Palmieri owned and operated Godeau and Martinoni Mortuary in Los Angeles for 40 years, retiring in 1990. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Los Angeles.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Suzanne Kaimie, Medford, and Michelle Griffith, Monrovia, Calif.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Donald Gene Henton

Donald Gene Henton, 56, of Rogue River, died July 18, 2000, in Rogue River. No service is planned.

He was born Feb. 20, 1944, in Joplin, Mo.

Mr. Henton worked in the grocery department at Fred Meyer in Medford. He lived in Rogue River for 10 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves.

Survivors include his wife, Joella Henton, Rogue River; three daughters, Heather Evans and Jennifer Henton, both Ashland, and Kayleen Quillen, Stockton, Calif.; two sons, Donald G., Acampo, Calif., and Ryan, Lockeford, Calif.; two brothers, William, Lodi, Calif., and Jack, Woodland, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Richard Navarro

The memorial service for Richard Navarro will be at 1 p..m. Thursday at Bethel Church in Medford.

Mr. Navarro, 50, of Medford, died Thursday (July 20, 2000) in Eureka, Calif.

Arrangements: Pierce Chapel, Eureka, Calif.

Clifford Milton Jackson

Clifford Milton Jackson, 71, of Klamath Falls, formerly of Medford, was found dead Monday (July 24, 2000) near Prospect. No service is planned.

He was born Aug. 24, 1928, in Ranger, Texas.

On Sept. 10, 1948, in Klamath Falls, he married Dahlia Joan Whitney, who survives. He lived in the Rogue Valley for 30 years and moved to Klamath Falls in 1992.

Mr. Jackson worked for the Oregon Department of Forestry in Central Point for 20 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Jackson enjoyed rock hounding, sun stone hunting, fishing and hunting.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Linda K. Brennan, Klamath Falls, and Susan D. Welling, Colonial Heights, Va.; a son, Steven K. Jackson, Boise, Idaho; his mother, Lela A. Cearley, Ranger, Texas; a sister, Wanda A. Jones, Ranger, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Arrangements: Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Mary Greenblatt

Mary Greenblatt, 73, of Grants Pass, died Sunday (July 23, 2000) at her home. Private interment was in Granite Hills Cemetery. The memorial service will be held in August.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 400 N.E. E St., Grants Pass, OR 97526.

James Ivan Lusk

The funeral for James Ivan Lusk will be at 2 p.m. today at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Tulsa, Okla. The Rev. Monty Hale will officiate.

Mr. Lusk, 87, of Bartlesville, Okla., formerly of Medford, died Monday (July 24, 200) in Jane Phillips Hospital in Oklahoma.

He was born Oct. 18, 1912, in Trout Lake, Wash., a son of James and Elsie Lusk.

He married Helen Johnston, who preceded him in death.

On Oct. 10, 1970, he married Corene (Morgan) Pershsall of Bartlesville, who survives.

Mr. Lusk was a truck driver for the Jackson County Roads Department in Medford for about 30 years.

During World War II, he served in the European Theater.

In Medford, Mr. Lusk was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 1833, the Medford Caravaners and the Good Sam Club for 18 years.

He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Medford.

Mr. Lusk enjoyed camping and gardening.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a stepdaughter, Judy Casey, Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Art, Portland; one step-granddaughter; and one step-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Boyd, Berton, Rex and Herbert; and two sisters, Elsie Clough and Lillian Boehm.

Arrangements: Rose Hill Funeral Home, Tulsa, Okla.

Richard Navarro

The memorial service for Richard Navarro will be at 1 p.m. today at Bethel Church in Medford. Pastor Tim Olson will officiate.

Mr. Navarro, 50, of Medford, died July 20, 2000, in Eureka, Calif.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Medford American Little League, P.O. Box 4059, Medford, OR 97501.

He was born April 29, 1950, in Bakersfield, Calif. He moved to Medford in 1985.

On March 1, 1986, in Medford, he married Betsy Lynn Mills, who survives.

Mr. Navarro was disabled. He served as the Medford American Little League umpire-in-chief and as the District 6 umpire consultant for little league to the state of Oregon.

He served in the U.S. Army for four years.

Mr. Navarro was a musician. He also enjoyed coaching and umpiring Little League.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Daniel James Navarro, Medford, and Richard Vandehey, Albany; two stepsons, Bryan Obando, Medford, and Martin Obando, Grants Pass; two daughters, Leisha Ann Caster, Central Point, and Angela Stacy Navarro, Medford; a brother, Ruben, Santa Clara, Calif.; three sisters, Angie Franco, Santa Clara, Calif., and Arlene Navarro and Roseanne Reese, both San Jose, Calif.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Maria Navarro.

Arrangements: Pierce Mortuary, Eureka, Calif.

Robert Gene Roselius

The graveside service for Robert Gene Roselius will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mountain View Cemetery in Centralia, Wash. Pastor James Feeney of Medford Christian Center will officiate.

Mr. Roselius, 86, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 25, 2000) at Farmington Square Assisted Living in Medford.

He was born Sept. 10, 1913, in Brookfield, Mo., a son of Robert and Florence (Stemm) Roselius. In 1915, his family moved in a Model T Ford to Napavine, Wash., where he grew up. He lived in Anchorage, Alaska from 1952 to 1998, when he moved to Medford.

On May 3, 1941, in Chehalis, Wash., he married Hazel Rhyner, who died in 1975.

Mr. Roselius owned and operated the Far North Trailer Park in Anchorage, Alaska.

He served as a 1st lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Mr. Roselius was a member of the Moose Lodge and was very active with the Boy Scouts.

He was a member of Central Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher.

Mr. Roselius enjoyed his family, visiting with friends, traveling and fixing electrical and mechanical things.

Survivors include a daughter, Mickey Feeney, Medford; two sons, Tom, Anchorage, Alaska, and Scott, Fairbanks, Alaska; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Luella Roselius; and by his twin brother and sister, Everett and Estelle Roselius.

Arrangements: Abbey Funeral, Medford.
