Ruth Hildebrand Peck
Ruth Irene Hildebrand Peck, 72, of Medford, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A private memorial service was held.

She was born Aug. 2, 1928, in Harvey, Ill.
On June 4, 1949, in Midlothian, Ill., she married Gordon Peck, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1959 from Illinois.
Mrs. Peck was a custom home designer, working as a partner in a family-owned construction business. At one time, she was also secretary for the Oregon State Wine Growers Association, and was a pioneer in vineyards. She and her husband owned Quail Run vineyard in Talent.
She was an artist and taught oil painting.
Mrs. Peck enjoyed painting and travel.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, of Sagle, Idaho, include four sons, Ralf, Jacksonville, Murray, Grand Junction, Colo., Ron, San Jose, Calif., and Corey, Boston; a brother, Robert Hildebrand, Mount Vernon, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.

Gerald Earl Parsley
Gerald Earl Parsley, 63, of White City, died Thursday (Aug. 17, 2000) at Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital in Portland. A private service will be held later. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born July 21, 1937, in Hastings, Neb., a son of Earl C. and Alice V. (Walburn) Parsley.
On Aug. 25, 1993, in White City, he married Barbara Smith, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley seven years ago from Arizona.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three daughters, Daphne Torrey and Tamera Clifford, both White City, and Amber Lausen, Phoenix; a sister, Donna Yancey, Tumwater, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Jeanne Ann Fogelquist
Jeanne Ann Fogelquist, 65, of Medford, died Friday (Aug. 18, 2000) at her home. A private service will be held at Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle later this year.
She was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Bend, a daughter of Leslie and Clara (Gammond) Chapman.
On June 3, 1954, in Bend, she married Delbert J. Fogelquist, who survives.
Mrs. Fogelquist was an office manager for Cornell & Associates, a real estate property management company in Seattle, for 20 years, retiring in 1996. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1998 from Seattle.
She was membership director for Seafair Inc., an annual summer festival in Seattle.
Mrs. Fogelquist was a member of the First Methodist Church in Bend.
She enjoyed golf and reading.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, James N., Walnut Creek, Calif.; and a daughter, Rebecca J. Fogelquist, Littleton, Colo.

Hamilton "Ham" Gearey
The funeral for Hamilton "Ham" Edward Gearey will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Hillcrest Mortuary, Medford.
Mr. Gearey, 86, of Medford, died Friday (Aug. 18, 2000) At Rogue Valley Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 17, 1913 in San Diego, Calif. Mr. Gearey had lived in Medford since the early 1950s, after moving north from California. In 1951, in Reno, Nev., he married Betty J. Dusten, who died in 1996.
Mr. Gearey worked as bar manager at the Rogue Valley Country Club for 22 years. A saxophone player for several jazz bands, he was a former member of the Moose Lodge in Medford. He served in the U.S. Army in the European African Middle Eastern Campaign during World War II from 1943 to 1946.
Survivors include two sons, Hamilton E. Gearey of Fallon, Nev. and Michael Gearey of Key West, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy Gordon of Medford; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mr. Gearey was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, a grandson and a sister.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Chapel, 2201 N. Phoenix Road, Medford.
Michael Alderson
A private memorial service will be held for Michael William Alderson. Mr. Alderson, 50, of Talent, died Thursday (Aug. 17, 2000) at his home.
He was born March 27, 1950 in Grants Pass to Jacques S. and Elsie Alderson. Mr. Alderson attended Grants Pass High School and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1978. He was a millworker whose hobbies included wood carving and making knives. He also enjoyed motorcycles and playing guitar in a rock band.
Survivors include two children, Michelle Alderson and Cory Alderson of Laytonville, Calif.; his mother, Elsie Anderson of Talent; three sisters, Judy Pendergrass of Grants Pass, Sally Copenhaver of Roseburg and Jenny Houck of Salem; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alderson was preceded in death by his father.

Clarence ‘Fred’ Geiger
The memorial service for Clarence "Fred" Geiger will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the First United Methodist Church in Ontario, Calif. The Rev. Jim Hickman will officiate. Inurnment will be at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario, Calif.
Mr. Geiger, 84, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 2000) at Farmington Square.
He was born May 17, 1916, in San Francisco, a son of Herman and Lillian (Schmalle) Geiger. He received a master’s degree.
On April 9, 1944, in Ontario, Calif., he married Lois Jean Franklin, who died in 1998. They were married for more than 53 years.
Mr. Geiger taught chemistry for more than 40 years, most of that time at Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1998 from California.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Seim, Medford.

Charles G. La Marca
The graveside service for Charles G. La Marca will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. Carmelo Mifsud of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate.
Mr. La Marca, 77, of Medford, died Aug. 11, 2000, at his home.

He was born March 1, 1923, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of Anthony and Lottie (Catalanotto) La Marca.
Mr. La Marca was an engineer for General Motors. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1995 from Pennsylvania.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Mr. La Marca enjoyed fishing, traveling, art and music.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Grasselli, Cranbury, N.J.; a brother, Frank J., Manhattan Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Rose Travisano, Northport, N.Y., and Virginia Reed, Sacramento, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Iris ‘Tomie’ V. Osborne
Iris "Tomie" V. Osborne, 72, of White City, died Tuesday (Aug. 15, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Wheeling, W. Va., a daughter of Westley W. and Mildred A. (Keller) Kildow.
On June 22, 1946, in Lennox, Calif., she married Floyd "Jim" Osborne, who survives.
Mrs. Osborne was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1983 from San Martin, Calif.
She enjoyed pottery painting.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Steven, White City; a daughter, Linda Hulshof, Dewey, Ariz.; a sister, Goldie Cochran, Portland; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
