Nancy Yvonne McGhee
The memorial service for Nancy Yvonne McGhee will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Harvest Baptist Temple in Medford. Pastor Bob Gass of Harvest Baptist Temple and Pastor Steve Burman of Faith Baptist in Grants Pass will officiate. Private interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. McGhee, 72, of Medford, died Sunday (Aug. 20, 2000) at her home.
She was born July 28, 1928, in Malden, Mo.
On May 4, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Walter Tup McGhee, who survives. She moved to Grants Pass in 1983, and to Medford in 1998.
Mrs. McGhee was a member of Harvest Baptist Temple. She enjoyed her faith, quilting and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Nancy McGhee, Medford, and Joy Lynn Spencer, Galesburg, Ill.; two sons, David, Hemet, Calif., and Garry D., Yorba Linda, Calif.; a brother, William Clifton Batson, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; a sister, Deronda Ricks, Orange, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Elton Ernest Rozell
The funeral for Elton Ernest Rozell will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Restlawn Funeral Home Chapel in Salem. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Salem.
Mr. Rozell, 80, of Salem, formerly of Medford, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) in Salem.

Mr. Rozell was born Nov. 3, 1919 in Sentinel, Okla. He graduated from high school in Sentinel.
On Sept. 30, 1944, he married Mildred Cox, who survives. He moved to Medford in 1955.
Mr. Rozell worked as a foreman for Pinnacle Orchards and Bear Creek Corp.
He was a member of Skyline Baptist Church in Salem.
Mr. Rozell enjoyed rock hunting, fishing and his vegetable garden.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Jimmy, Medford, and Ernie and Tom, both Salem; a brother, Charlie, Sentinel, Okla.; a sister, Kathryn Adams, Medford; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may pay their respects at noon Thursday at Restlawn Funeral Home Chapel, Salem.
Thomas Earl Kennaday
Thomas Earl Kennaday, 86, of Gresham, formerly of Medford, died Friday (Aug. 18, 2000) in Gresham. No service is planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church Building Fund, 3677 Stage Road South, Medford, 97501.
He was born July 7, 1914, in Saratoga, Wyo.
On May 13, 1933, he married Gladys Eleanore Ream, who died in 1988. He moved to Medford in 1945 from Saratoga, Wyo.
He was the landscaper for philanthropist Alfred Carpenter for 25 years. He also worked as a security guard for the Pinkerton Agency.
He had a black belt in judo.
Mr. Kennaday was a member of Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church in Medford.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte A. Sabo, Medford, and Patty R. Geppert, Boring; a son, Tommy G., Brookings; a brother, Lincoln, Glide; three sisters, Florence Bray, Roseburg, Bonnie Marier, Glide, and June Kelley, Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Barbara Jean Southerland
The memorial service for Barbara Jean Southerland will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. The Rev. Lou Schneider of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Ms. Southerland, 52, of Medford, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) at her home.

She was born Barbara Kadin on April 29, 1948, in Manitowoc, Wis. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1951 from Manitowoc and graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1966.
Ms. Southerland was a secretary for Medford School District 549C at Hedrick Middle School from 1988 to 2000.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Medford.
Ms. Southerland enjoyed camping, crafts, hiking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter, Debra Lynn Callahan, Medford; her mother, Camilla Kadin, Medford; two brothers, Daniel E. Kadin, Springfield, Va., and Jim G. Kadin, Amarillo, Texas; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Andrew D. Southerland, in 1998; and by her father, Daniel R. Kadin, in 1989.

Alice Annie Meyer
Alice Annie Meyer, 91, of Medford, died Sunday (Aug. 20, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Alice Cheatwood on Oct. 27, 1908, in Hanging Rock, Ohio.
On Dec. 22, 1926, in Ault, Colo., she married Edward E. Meyer, who died in 1980.
Mrs. Meyer was an accountant for the U.S. government. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1987 from Boise, Idaho.
She taught obedience training and formed several dog clubs.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Archer, Medford, and Karen Barnett, in Virginia; seven sons, Lloyd F. and Glen R., both Medford, Charles E., in Montana, Eugene B. and Howard L., both in Arizona, Kenneth R., in Idaho, and Ronald L., in California; a sister, Madge Wyatt, in Idaho; 38 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers; and five grandchildren.

Rulon Sirls Winsor
The funeral for Rulon Sirls Winsor will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens Chapel, Medford. A representative of the Central Point Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.
Mr. Winsor, 98, of Central Point and Chula Vista, Calif., died Thursday (Aug. 17, 2000) in Central Point.
He was born March 30, 1902, in Enterprise, Vt., the youngest of 11 children born to pioneer families Dunbacher and Hanna.
On Nov. 30, 1923, in Logan, Utah, he married Viola May Erickson, who died in 1973. In June 1973, in Chula Vista, he married Ruth Rosetta Smith, who died in 1999.
Mr. Winsor was a welder and fabricator. He moved to Central Point in 1999 from Chula Vista.
He enjoyed bicycle repair, making gifts from crafts and family activities.
Survivors include three daughters, Viola Beverly Coyle, Central Point, Josephine Winsor Kirkman, Cornish, Vt., and Marilyn Winsor Waite, Homedale, Idaho.; 34 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sons.

Margaret Young
The funeral for Margaret "Marge" Evelyn Young will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Memory Gardens Mortuary in Medford. The Rev. Mark Burton of Medford Friends Church will officiate. The graveside service will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Young, 76, of Central Point, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 12, 1923, in Verdigre, Neb., a daughter of Charles and Agnes Konopasek.
In 1944, in Verdigre, she married Joseph "Eddie" E. Young, who died in 1967. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1945 from Nebraska.
Mrs. Young worked for many years as a supervisor in the mail-order department for Bear Creek Corp. and for Pinnacle Packing Company in Medford.
She was a member of the Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point.
Mrs. Young babysat children and was involved with bingo, bunko and pinochle groups.
Survivors include a son, Scott, Winfield, Ill.; a brother, Raymond Konopasek, Medford; three sisters, Evelyn Barnum, Beulah Vessey and Betty Anders, all Medford; and two grandchildren.
