Rulon Sirls Winsor
The funeral for Rulon Sirls Winsor will be at 11 a.m. today at Memory Gardens Chapel, Medford. A representative of the Central Point ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will officiate.
Mr. Winsor, 98, of Central Point and Chula Vista, Calif., died Thursday (Aug. 17, 2000) in Central Point.
He was born March 30, 1902, in Enterprise, Utah, the youngest of 11 children born to pioneer families Terry and Winsor.
On Nov. 30, 1923, in Logan Utah, he married Viola May Erickson, who died in 1973. In June 1973, in Chula Vista, he married Ruth Rosetta Smith, who died in 1999.
Mr. Winsor was a welder and fabricator. He moved to Central Point in 1999 from Chula Vista.
He enjoyed bicycle repair, making gifts from crafts and family activities.
Survivors include three daughters, Viola Beverly Winsor Coyl, Central Point, Josephine Winsor Kirkman, Cornish, Utah, and Marilyn Winsor Waite, Homedale, Idaho.; 34 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sons.
Friends may pay their respects at 9 a.m. today at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Daniel Everett Isaac
The graveside service for Daniel Everett Isaac will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Isaac, 62, of Central Point, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) at his home.
He was born June 20, 1938, in Myrtle Point.
On April 16, 1960, in Prospect, he married Glenda K. Sargent, who survives. He lived most of his life in Central Point.
Mr. Isaac worked in sales and as a manager for Foster Farms.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1959.
Mr. Isaac enjoyed antiques and collectibles, fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Daniel Scott and Daren M., both Central Point; a daughter, Debra D. Meyers, Medford; two brothers, George, Oregon City, and Bill, Portland; and three grandchildren.

Dorthy J. Leffler
Dorthy J. Leffler, 70, of Central Point, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Aug. 21, 1929, in Roseburg, a daughter of James and Constance (Miles) Fueston.
In 1946, she married Ernest Alvin Leffler, who died in 1967. She lived in the Rogue and Umpqua valleys all her life.
Mrs. Leffler was a manager of Medford Firestone Tire for several years before retiring in the mid-1980s. Prior to that, she was a bookkeeper for various businesses.
Survivors include two sons, Richard and James, both Central Point; a daughter, Diana Wright, Richland, Wash.; two brothers, Jerry Fueston, Eagle Point, and George Fueston, Independence; a sister, Pauline Brocksome, Medford; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara Fueston.

Arthur Earl Elrod
The funeral service for Arthur Earl Elrod will be at 11 a.m. today at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eagle Point ward. Darren Knuteson will officiate. The graveside service will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Elrod, 85, of Shady Cove, died Sunday (Aug. 20, 2000) at his home.

He was born May 2, 1915, in Bradford, Pa.
On Feb. 7, 1946, in Bradford, Pa., he married Grace E. Bond, who survives.
Mr. Elrod was an electrician for the Ritchie Sand Co. in Wichita, Kan., for many years, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of the Eagle Point ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mr. Elrod enjoyed reading, drawing and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Donna Shultz, Orange, Calif., and Jeanne Cranmer, Felton, Del.; a brother, Roy, Bradford, Pa.; a sister, Norma Sherwin, Fairbanks, Alaska; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy M. L. Bartlett
The memorial service for Dorothy Marie Lewis Bartlett will be 5 p.m. Thursday at Central Neighborhood Church in Medford. Pastor Rod Howell will officiate.
Ms. Bartlett, 71, of Medford, died Sunday (Aug. 20, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Millinocket, Maine, a daughter of Vernon and Marie Lewis.
Ms. Bartlett was in charge of food service for a boys home/correctional facility. She lived in Germany for six years, Wenatchee, Wash., for 20 years, and moved to Medford in 1992 from Klamath Falls.
She was a member of the Catholic church.
Ms. Bartlett enjoyed painting, sewing and arts and crafts.
Survivors include two sons, Remi Fritz, Talent, and Charles Fritz, Omak, Wash.; two daughters, Fredrica Summers, North Bend, and Lenora Couch, Copperas Cove, Texas; a brother, Stanley Lewis, Pinellas Park, Fla.; a sister, Maxine Hefty, Southbeach; and six grandchildren.

‘Gene’ Altenhofen
Hildred "Gene" Altenhofen, 95, of Medford, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) at a friend’s home in Gold Hill. No service is planned.

She was born Hildred Genevieve Richards on Oct. 11, 1904, in Rockwood, Tenn., a daughter of Tom and Sally Richards.
In June 1934, in Portland, she married John Altenhofen, who died in 1981.
Mrs. Altenhofen was a nurse at Providence hospital in Portland. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1978 from Portland.
She was a member of the women’s service club PEO.
Mrs. Altenhofen enjoyed ceramics and travel.
Survivors include a son, Greg, Medford; a daughter, Marge Morris, Medford; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Edith Perreard
Edith Perreard, 82, of Medford, formerly of Jacksonville, died Saturday (Aug. 19, 2000) in Medford. A memorial service will be held later. Private interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.

She was born Edith DeKorte on June 22, 1918, in Patterson, N.J.
On July 31, 1937, in Suffern, N.Y., she married Marcel "Marty" Perreard, who died in 1984. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1948.
She enjoyed fishing, camping and knitting.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth, Jacksonville, and Roger, Omak, Wash.; a daughter, Yvonne Carter, San Pablo, Calif.; a sister, Minnie Baker, Milford, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A son, George, preceded her in death.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. today at Conger-Morris Funeral Home, Medford.
