Doug W. Curtis
The memorial service for Doug W. Curtis will be at 2 p.m. today at Hull & Hull Chapel in Grants Pass.
Mr. Curtis, 48, of Rogue River, died Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2000) at Three Rivers Hospital, Washington Campus.
He was born March 7, 1952, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Skyline High School in 1970, and attended Idaho State University.
On May 26, 1979, in Challis, Idaho, he married Rita Reed, who survives. In 1992, they moved from Idaho Falls to Molalla. Five years ago, they moved to Rogue River from Molalla.
Mr. Curtis enjoyed cabinet making and outdoor activities including camping, hunting and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Cheyloe Curtis, Rogue River; a son, Colt, Rogue River; his parents, Nola and Wayne Curtis, Idaho Falls, Idaho; his grandmother, Inez Curtis, Shelley, Idaho; and three sisters, Diane Nissle, Mesa, Ariz., Roseann Peterson, Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Kristine Baker, Shelley, Idaho.

Glendora Beatrice Brock
The graveside service for Glendora Beatrice Brock will be at 11 a.m. today at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.
Mrs. Brock, 88, of Medford, died Sunday (Aug. 27, 2000) at Hearthstone.
She was born March 19, 1912, in Wyandotte, Mich.
On May 18, 1938, in Lomita, Calif., she married Elmer G. Brock, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1972.
Mrs. Brock was a homemaker.
She enjoyed stitchery.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a brother, Earl Theaker, Lomita, Calif.; and a sister, June Holdsworth, Lomita, Calif.

Chester Inman
Chester Inman, 84, of Eagle Point, died Thursday (Aug. 31, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born June 5, 1916, in Salina, Kan.
In 1956, in Antioch, Calif., he married Eunice Cottman, who died in 1994. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1994 from Washington.
Mr. Inman was a job counselor for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in San Jose, Calif.
He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He flew 68 missions out of England and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross Air Medal.
Survivors include four stepdaughters, Mary Bray and Nora Hansen, both Eagle Point, Hope Brainard, Silver Lake, Kan., and Dorothy Soltez, Moscow, Idaho; a stepson, David Gossett, Mountain Home, Idaho; a brother, Lyle, Lake Rossiger, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Francis Henry McNeal
Francis Henry McNeal, 89, of Medford, formerly of Klamath Falls, died Sunday (Aug. 27, 2000) in Eugene. The graveside service was held at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Klamath Falls. Deacon Jim Roy of St. Pious X Catholic Church officiated.
He was born Aug. 18, 1911, in Harding, Neb., the son of Frank and Agatha McNeal.
On May 12, 1941, in Los Angeles, he married Mary Byrne, who preceded him in death. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1941.
Mr. McNeal was an automobile mechanic with Nash Rambler and Pontiac dealerships prior to going into aviation mechanics. He continued to work as an aviation mechanic after moving to Medford in 1964. While working, he designed and manufactured a number of specialty tools for the aviation industry.
He was a member of the Mountain Men Muzzleloader Club and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford.
Mr. McNeal enjoyed riding motorcycles, rock hounding and hunting, especially turkey shoots with his black powder rifle.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Kathleen Rice, Eugene, Janice Marie McNeal, Julie Ann Marie McNeal, Seattle, and Sharon Dee McNeal, Beaverton; three sons, Wayne Charles, in California, Raymond, in Mississippi, and Richard Patrick, in British Columbia, Canada; five sisters; 26 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul Francis, and a daughter, Patricia Ann McNeal.

Gloria T. Albrecht
The memorial service for Gloria T. Albrecht will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Parkview Mobile Estates Club House, 315 W. Evans Creek Road, Rogue River.
Ms. Albrecht, 73, of Rogue River, died Wednesday (Aug. 30, 2000) at her home.
She was born July 29, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y. she had been a resident of San Diego since she was 20 years old.
Ms. Albrecht was an inspector for Teledyne Ryan in San Diego for 20 years. She moved to Rogue River in 1980 from San Diego.
She was a member of Our Lady of the River Catholic Church.
Ms. Albrecht enjoyed oil painting and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, William E. Schulte, Rogue River; a daughter, Lois A. DeBenedetti, Rogue River; a brother, Robert Hesdra, in New York; a sister, Margaret Hesdra, in New York; two grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Bernard J. Sands
The memorial service for Bernard J. Sands will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Sands, 67, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2000) at his home.
He was born May 6, 1933, in St. Louis.
Mr. Sands was a self-employed welder prior to his retirement. He moved to Grants Pass in 1979 from Ojai, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Sands enjoyed playing the guitar, photography, computers and woodworking.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Sands, Medford, Debra Asher, Portland; two sons, Chris and Jay, both Medford; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his former wife, Charlotte Sands, Medford.

Richard Paul Kuschel
The memorial service for Richard Paul Kuschel will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Medford.
Mr. Kuschel, 74, of Medford, died Thursday (Aug. 31, 2000) at his home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rogue Valley Swim and Tennis Club, Junior Tennis Scholarship Program, 709 N. Phoenix Road, Medford, OR 97504.
He was born Feb. 3, 1926, in Hebron, N.D.
On June 30, 1949, in Hebron, N.D., he married Florence Kepplin, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Kuschel worked for the Medford Mail Tribune in the composing room from 1956 until his retirement in 1989.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Kuschel was past president of Local CWA/ITU union. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Rogue Valley Swim and Tennis Club.
He enjoyed traveling, softball, tennis and badminton and participated in tournaments throughout the country.
Survivors include two sons, Rodney, Troy, Ohio, and Scott, Los Gatos, Calif.; two daughters, Nancy Moore, Eugene, and Judy Kuschel, Vancouver, Wash.; a brother, Alvin, in Arkansas; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Schaar.
