Lillian Leola Lowery
Lillian Leola Lowery, 82, of Medford, died Sunday (Sept. 3, 2000) at Medford Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Private inurnment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
She was born Sept. 28, 1917, in Huron, S.D., a daughter of Harold Dean and Eva Belle (Baughman) Gilgore. She graduated from Huron High School.
On July 22, 1937, in Huron, S.D., she married Everett E. Lowery, who died in 1953. She moved to Medford in 1948.
Mrs. Lowery was a licensed practical nurse in Medford.
She was a member of the Rogue Valley Kennel Club and raised cocker spaniels.
Mrs. Lowery enjoyed her dogs and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Michael, Shady Cove; a daughter, Patricia Cotton, Newport; and seven grandchildren.

Catherine Bebb
Catherine Bebb, 94, of Logan, Kan., formerly of Grants Pass, died Wednesday (Sept. 6, 2000) at Phillips County Hospital in Phillipsburg, Kan. A private service will be held. Pastor Roger Miller will officiate.
She was born Sept. 25, 1905, in Phillips County, Kan., a daughter of Lewis "Doc" and Nellie (Smith) Clason.
On Sept. 25, 1928, in Long Island, Kan., she married Dale Bebb, who died in 1982.
Mrs. Bebb was a self-employed small business owner. She lived in Oberlin and Logan, Kan.
Survivors include two daughters, Delphyn Biggs, Norton, Kan., and Dixie Kinser, Stockton, Calif.; a sister, Shirley Crammer, Central Point; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Viola Margretta Homer
The memorial service for Viola Margretta Homer will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Linwood Church of Christ. Private interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
Mrs. Homer, 81, of Milwaukie, formerly of Medford, died Monday (Sept. 4, 2000) in Oregon City.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Viola Jackson on Aug. 21, 1919, in Flatop, Colo.
On May 3, 1944, she married William Homer, who survives.
Mrs. Homer was a newspaper carrier with the Medford Mail Tribune for more than 30 years, retiring at age 77. She lived in Medford for more than 40 years and in the Canby area for the last three years.
She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Medford and sang in the choir for many years.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, Priscilla Rickard, Canby; a son, John, Minneapolis; four sisters, Pearl Koopman, Bend, Norma Neth, Redmond, and Clara Foster and Bernice Walker, both Klamath Falls; a brother, Robert Jackson, Portland; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Marcelle M. Nadeau
The memorial Mass for Marcelle M. Nadeau will be at 12:15 p.m. today at Shepherd of the Valley, Catholic Church, Central Point. The Rev. Jim Clifford will officiate.
Ms. Nadeau, 91, of Medford, died Sunday (Aug. 27, 2000) at Hearthstone.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shepherd of the Valley Building Fund, 600 Beebe Road, Central Point, OR 97502.
She was born Aug. 17, 1909 in New York, a daughter of Constant and Henriette (Broeckx) Monjonnet. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1986 from Texas.
Ms. Nadeau was an operator with Atlantic Bell.
She was a volunteer with the Rogue Valley Medical Center Guild and was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church.
Ms Nadeau enjoyed spending time with her friends at Shepherd of the Valley Church and with the residents of Ross Knotts Retirement Center.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Alain Mojonnet; and a sister, Paulette Troll.

Mary A. Autrey
Mary A. Autrey, 84, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2000) at her home. Private interment will be in Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose, Calif.

She was born Sept. 28, 1915, in Saskatchewan, Canada.
On July 3, 1935, in Bellingham, Wash., she married Floyd Autrey, who died in 1986. She lived in the Rogue Valley for 10 years.
Mrs. Autrey enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Survivors include her son, Bob, Medford; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Houston K. Baber
Houston K. Baber, 87, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2000) in Medford. Private interment will be in Springdale, Ark.
He was born Jan. 23, 1913, in Umpire, Ark., a son of Jacob and Mary (Armstrong) Baber.
On Aug. 18, 1931, in Van Buren, Ark., he married Beula Ramey, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Baber worked in building maintenance for many years until his retirement in 1974. He moved to the Rogue Valley 10 years ago from Reno, Nev. He had also lived in Southern California and Arkansas.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include three sons, Gerald, Central Point, David, Priest River, Idaho, and Ed, Winnemucca, Nev.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Anna Lois Huntley
Anna Lois Huntley, 82, of Medford, died Aug. 23, 2000, at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
She was born March 1, 1918, in Hamilton, Ohio, a daughter of Joseph and Patience Mabel (Hale) Jones.
On July 15, 1939, in Yreka, Calif., she married Clarence Huntley, who preceded her in death. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay Springer, Butte Falls; a son, Clarence Huntley, North Bend; a sister, Helen Cleven, Klamath Falls; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Huntley.

Julia M. Freebury
The funeral for Julia M. Freebury will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Portland.
Mrs. Freebury, 78, of Medford, died Tuesday (Aug. 29, 2000) at a hospital in Roseburg.
She was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Grandview, Wash., a daughter of John Henry and Margaret May (Hale) Conn. As a young child, she moved with her family to Kalispell, Mont., where she grew up and graduated from high school.
On Nov. 15, 1952, in Kalispell, Mont., she married Vernon Freebury, who survives. They moved to Medford in 1994 from Shelton, Wash.
Mrs. Freebury was the office manager for Hance Oil Company-Union Oil Distributor in Stayton from the mid-1960s to the late ‘70s.
She was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Medford.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Dan, Winston; a sister, Elsie Day, Fairbanks, Alaska; a brother, Don Conn, Oregon City; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Lee, in 1991; two brother, Jimmy and Billy Conn; and a sister, Frankie West.
