Floyd K. Gress
Floyd K. Gress, 85, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 14, 2000) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born May 28, 1914, in Steprock, Ark.
On Sept. 4, 1938, he married Mary Lois Hancock, who survives.
Mr. Gress was a San Francisco police officer for 30 years, retiring as lieutenant in 1971. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1971 from San Francisco.
He was an avid gardener and fisherman and realized a lifelong dream by building a home along the Applegate River. He later moved to Medford, where he lived for almost 30 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Gerald, Anaheim, Calif.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis, who died in a plane crash in Calcutta, India in 1968.

Cynthia Irene McClure
The memorial service for Cynthia Irene McClure will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Medford First Church of God. The Rev. John Wiuff will officiate.
Mrs. McClure, 36, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 14, 2000) at her home.

She was born May 5, 1963, in Medford, a daughter of Roy and Helen (Adler) Black.
On June 27, 1981, in Ashland, she married Chris McClure, who survives.
Mrs. McClure was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Medford, where she served on the Board of Trustees.
Mrs. McClure collected panda bears and enjoyed reading, sewing and children.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include her mother, Helen Black, Medford; two brothers, Warren Black, White City, and Daniel Black, Medford; and two sisters, Sandra Schmaltz, Medford, and Sheryll Lordell, Portland. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Black, in 1998.

Donald Perry Nygaard
Donald Perry Nygaard, 48, of Central Point, died Sunday (March 12, 2000) at his home. A private service is planned. Inurnment will be in Rock Point Cemetery, Gold Hill.
He was born Oct. 27, 1951, in Van Nuys, Calif., a son of Arthur K. and Loyce Ann Nygaard. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1988 from Maui, Hawaii.
Mr. Nygaard was a superintendent in home construction.
He enjoyed golf.
Survivors include his mother, Loyce Nygaard, Central Point; and a brother, Richard A., Redmond, Wash. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur K., in 1987.

Carol Ann Mason
The memorial service for Carol Ann Mason will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in North Bend. The Rev. Pam Meese will officiate.
Mrs. Mason, 69, of North Bend, formerly of Medford, died Monday (March 13, 2000) in Eugene.

She was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Silvis, Ill., a daughter of Clifford and Gertrude (Johnson) Zude.
On May 8, 1953, in Silvis, Ill., she married Robert L. Mason, who survives. They moved to Salem where her husband worked in forestry for the federal government. They transferred to Medford in 1960, and moved to North Bend in 1977.
Mrs. Mason was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of North Bend, Carol's Handbell Ringers and the Senior Center Carvers Association.
Mrs. Mason enjoyed tennis, bowling, music and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Roy, Big Bear Lake, Calif.; and a daughter, Ann Davis, Portland. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford Zude.

Rubin Harold Konig
Rubin Harold Konig, 85, of Medford, died Sunday (March 12, 2000) at his home. No service is planned.

He was born Oct. 16, 1914, in St. Paul, Minn. He graduated from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., in 1938, and from Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Fla.
On June 29, 1941, in Oakland, Calif., he married Nina Ann Scott, who survives.
Mr. Konig served in the U.S. Navy for 23 years during World War II and the Korean War. After his retirement from the Navy, he was a math teacher for the Monterey Unified School District in California for 15 years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Nina Ann Snider, San Carlos, Calif.; a brother, Theodore John, Prescott, Ariz.; a sister, Hedwig Konig, Prescott, Ariz.; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by a son, John Scott; two brothers and three sisters.

Lucille C. Bell
The memorial service for Lucille Christina Bell will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Prime Time Retirement Center in Medford. Pastor Rick Burns of the First Baptist Church of Medford will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

She was born May 30, 1918, in Nelson, Mo., a daughter of Edwin John and Carrie Louise (Busse) Boettcher.
On Jan. 9, 1938, in Boonville, Mo., she married Rex Algernon Bell, who died in 1997. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1976 from Whittier, Calif.
Mrs. Bell was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Medford. She and her husband sang at the church and in nursing homes.
Mrs. Bell enjoyed sewing.
Survivors include a daughter, Janette Bell, Gold Hill; a son, Robert A., Gold Hill; a brother, Kenneth Boettcher, Laguna Nigel, Calif.; a sister, Bea Beaty, Medford; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jim Wesley Sutfin
Jim Wesley Sutfin, 38, of Butte Falls, died Saturday (March 11, 2000) at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eugene. The memorial service was held Wednesday at the Butte Falls Assembly of God. Pastors Steve Harvey and Daryl Backus officiated.

He was born Aug. 18, 1961, in Fortuna, Calif., a son of James and Donna Sutfin. He attended Southern Trinity High School in Mad River, Calif.
On Nov. 15, 1986, in Reno, Nev., he married Mary Atkinson, who survives. He had lived in Butte Falls for five years.
Mr. Sutfin was a dairy milker.
He was a member of the Butte Falls Assembly of God.
Mr. Sutfin enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and cooking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Jesse and Joshua, both Butte Falls; two daughters, Kyndi and Elizabeth, both Butte Falls; a brother, Phillip, in California; and two sisters, Roxanna Rodgers and Tamah Hughes, both Fortuna, Calif.
