Louis John Poggione
The graveside service for Louis John Poggione will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Bishop Larry Doll of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jacksonville Ward, will officiate.
Mr. Poggione, 92, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday (March 21, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born April 28, 1907, in Calumet, Mich.
On May 17, 1930, in Los Angeles, he married Gladys Horlacher, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1972 from Santa Barbara, Calif.
Mr. Poggione was past president of Jackson County Title Company in Medford, before his retirement.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jacksonville Ward.
Mr. Poggione enjoyed fishing and sports of all kinds, especially baseball.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Marsha Paul, Waldport; a son, Michael, Visalia, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, five sisters, and one grandson.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Bellinger & Arnold Lane, Medford.
Philip Webb Deupree
The funeral for Philip Webb Deupree will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Medford. Chaplain Jeff Holder of Providence Medford Medical Center will officiate. Interment will be in Trail Cemetery.
Mr. Deupree, 72, of Eagle Point, died Sunday (March 19, 2000) at his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1928, in Dora, Mo.
On Jan. 19, 1950, in Canyonville, he married Alice M. Warner, who survives.
Mr. Deupree was a gyppo logger in California. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1965 from Fortuna, Calif. In 1971, with partner, Don Grissium, he formed and operated Cascade Real Estate.
He was a member of Oregonians in Action for many years. He was a board member of Little Butte Irrigation District and was a leader in land and water rights.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Stan, Eagle Point; two daughters, Rhonda Stebbins, Shady Cove, and Philis Schmidt, Scotts Mills; two brothers, David B., Lewistown, Mont., and John P., Springfield, Mo.; a sister, Louise McDivitt, Springfield, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Mary E. `Betty' Deagle
The memorial service for Mary E. "Betty" Deagle will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the Bear Lake Mobile Estates Clubhouse.
Mrs. Deagle, 88, of Phoenix, died March 11, 2000, at Hearthstone.

She was born Mary Lang on June 28, 1911, in Carleton Place, Ontario, Canada.
On July 13, 1945, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, she married F. Gordon Deagle, who survives. They moved to New England from Canada, and lived in various areas in the U.S. before moving to Phoenix in 1981.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include several brothers and sisters in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, and a brother in Largo, Fla.

Donald Wayne Ellis
The memorial service for Donald Wayne Ellis will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Butte Falls Community Bible Church. The Rev. Steve Harvey will officiate.
Mr. Ellis, 60, of Butte Falls, died Sunday (March 19, 2000) in Butte Falls.

He was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Medford, a son of Lester and Bernice (Poole) Ellis. He lived in Butte Falls his entire life.
Mr. Ellis was a forester with the Range and Recreation Department for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1957 to 1961.
Mr. Ellis attended the Butte Falls Community Bible Church.
He enjoyed hunting and family gatherings.
Survivors include three sons, Eric, Butte Falls, Wayne, Medford, and Allen, Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Neal, Butte Falls; four sisters, Pauline Krebb, Medford, Lila McClanahan, Butte Falls, Barbara Glasscock, South Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Verla Zimmerley,
Paskenta, Calif.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Thayne C. Madrid
The graveside service for Thayne C. Madrid will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Madrid, 84, of Butte Falls, died March 12, 2000, in Medford.
He was born Nov. 29, 1915, in Venton, Texas.
Mr. Madrid worked in a plywood mill in Redding, Calif., for most of his life. He lived in the Susanville-Westwood area for 20 years, and the Brookings-Crescent City area for 10 years. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1993.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Madrid was a member of the Moose Lodge.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include three sons, Don, Butte Falls, Dana, Portland, and Thayne Jr., in Taiwan; a daughter, Lauretta Laursen, Carson City, Nev.; a brother, Ernest Madrid, Tulelake, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters; and two grandsons.

Eldene F. Dutton
The graveside service for Eldene F. Dutton will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Pastor Richard Boden of Applegate Christian Fellowship will officiate.
Mrs. Dutton, 91, of Applegate, died Monday (March 20, 2000) at her home.
She was born Eldene Munn on Dec. 7, 1908, in Newport, Neb.
In 1960, in Yuma, Ariz., she married Chester J. Dutton, who survives.
Mrs. Dutton lived in Central Point from 1925 to 1950, where she was past Postmaster. She then moved to San Diego, where she owned and operated an Eye Care Studio. She returned to the Rogue Valley 22 years ago from San Diego.
She served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the administrative offices.
Mrs. Dutton was a member of the American Legion Post No. 0043 in Hollywood, Calif., and the University of Oregon Women's Club.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a step-daughter, Jeanette M. Dutton, San Diego. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jeannie Reed, Florence Mooneyham, and Doreen Pierce; and a brother, Lester Munn.
