Musa Mary Hagbery
The graveside service for Musa Mary Hagbery will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hagbery, 105, of Canyonville, died Friday at her home.
She was born Musa Stephenson on Jan. 1, 1895 in Big Timber, Montana.
On Nov. 21, 1919, in Miles City, Montana, she married John Hagbery who died in 1962.
They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1945 from Arizona.
Mrs. Hagbery became a schoolteacher when she was 17 years old and taught in Shady Cove and Wimer.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the National Poetry Society and the National Retired Teachers Association.
Five years ago she wrote a book titled `My First 100 Years, ' which was published.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Muller, Central Point, and Ruth Barraclough, Winston; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Doloris D. Mead
The funeral for Doloris D. Mead will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Central Valley Chapel, Central Point. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Mead, 58, of Central Point, died Saturday (March 25, 2000) at her home.
She was born Doloris D. Newell on Sept. 7, 1941, in Durant, Okla.
She lived most her life in the Rogue Valley and graduated from Crater High School in 1959.
On June 26, 1992, in Reno, Nev., she married Samuel R. Mead, who survives.
Mrs. Mead was a bookkeeper for Home Medical Services in Medford.
She was a member of the Eagle Lodge in Medford.
Survivors include her mother, Louise Newell, Central Point; two sons, Samuel R. Blake, Central Point, and Jeffery Blake, Baker City; a daughter, Olivia Brotten, Central Point; two stepsons, Bryan and Damon Mead, Taft, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Susan Mead, Medford; four brothers, Donald Newell, Grants Pass; Bernus Newell, Longview, Wash., Charles Newell, Central Point, and Terry Newell, Medford; and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Valley Chapel in Central Point.
Archie Robert West
The funeral for Archie Robert West will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Rogue Valley Christian Church. Pastor Kenne Horton of Rogue Valley Christian Church will officiate.
Interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
Mr. West, 86, of Medford, died Thursday (March 23, 2000) at his home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1913, on a wagon train in Laid Law, outside what is now Tumalo, near Bend.
On Jan. 21, 1933, he married Madge Barshaw, who survives. The couple moved to the Rogue Valley in 1950.
Mr. West was the first fire marshal in the Star Ranger District of the Applegate for the Civil Service Conservation Corp. during the Depression.
He worked as a mechanic for Weyerhauser Co. in Klamath Falls before returning to Medford, where he worked as a mechanic for Pape Brothers Inc. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Fred West, Silver Lake, and David Dale West, Rogue River; two brothers, Fred West, Jacksonville, and Raymond West, Medford; four sisters, Edna Paul, Sacramento, Calif., Laura Beaman, Yuba City, Calif., Luetta Straube, Jacksonville, and Ina Bell Ragsdale, Medford; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Georgia P. Lewis
The chapel service for Georgia Pauline Lewis will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Darey Burkhalter of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lewis, 89, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 14, 2000) in Medford.
She was born Georgia Pauline Roberts on Aug. 27, 1910, in Myrtle Creek. She attended Medford public schools, and what is now Oregon State University.
On Sept. 8, 1944, in Portland, she married Jennings Temple Lewis, who survives.
Mrs. Lewis was an administrative assistant for an insurance company in Sweetwater, Texas, for 20 years.
She was an active member of the Methodist church.
Mrs. Lewis enjoyed ranching with her husband in Texas.
She is survived by her husband Jennings Lewis, Blackwell, Texas. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

John Z. Zumwalt
The graveside service for John Z. Zumwalt will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens in Klamath Falls. The Rev. John Dungey of Central Point will officiate.
Mr. Zumwalt, 74, of Grants Pass, formerly of Central Point, died Wednesday (March 22, 2000) in Grants Pass.

He was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Klamath Falls, a son of John and Ida (Wertz) Zumwalt.
On Feb. 15, 1947, in Reno, Nev., he married Ruth Ann Hall, who died in 1998.
Mr. Zumwalt owned and operated Model Cleaners in Klamath Falls from 1953 to 1970. He was a warehouse foreman for the Great Northern Railroad from 1970 to 1980.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Zumwalt was a past commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and past president of the Red Cross in Klamath Falls. He was a member of the Lions and the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Klamath Falls.
Survivors include a son, Gary, Grants Pass; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Jim, Walt, Don and Charlie.
Friends may pay their respects at 1 p.m. Monday at Eternal Hill Memorial Gardens, Klamath Falls.

Lois Margaret Harp
Lois Margaret Harp, 86, of Central Point, died Tuesday (March 21, 2000) at her home. A private service will be held later.

She was born June 1, 1913, in Gardena, Calif.
On Feb. 22, 1958, in Las Vegas, she married Conard Jackson Harp, who died in 1997.
Mrs. Harp was a parts inspector for Cannon Electric, now ITT Cannon, until her retirement in the 1970s. She lived in Joshua Tree, Calif. for 32 years and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1997.
She held several offices in the Ladies Auxiliary at the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was very active in Copper Mountain Mesa Community Association in Joshua Tree.
Mrs. Harp enjoyed reading, interior decorating, history and flowers, especially roses.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Grandfield, Central Point; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
