John William Douglas
The memorial service for John William Douglas will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Douglas, 53, of Central Point, died Thursday (March 23, 2000) in an auto accident at Union Creek.
He was born Jan. 5, 1947, in Payette, Idaho.
On Jan. 30, 1989, at Lake Tahoe, Calif., he married Christina Mansur, who survives.
They moved to the Rogue Valley two years ago from Sonora, Calif.
Mr. Douglas owned and operated A-OK Maintenance Service in Central Point. He also worked with his brother at A-OK Janitorial Service in Central Point.
From 1967 to 1973, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Douglas enjoyed Louis L'Amour books and tapes, and movies and videos.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Sarah Racheal Andrade, Central Point; two sons, Bryan Peiffer, Fremont, Calif., and John William Douglas, in Florida; his mother, Lorraine Grover, Medford; two brothers, Jerry, Central Point, and Steven, Los Gatos, Calif.; a sister, Caren Benson, Calhan, Colo.; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his father, John William Douglas, in 1970; and his stepfather, Frank Sferrazzo, in 1990.

Lonnie H. Burbridge
The graveside service for Lonnie Harrel Burbridge will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Woodville Cemetery in Rogue River. Pastor Kelly Williams of the Rogue River Assembly of God will officiate.
Mr. Burbridge, 59, of Medford, died Thursday (March 23, 2000) at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1940, in Dunnigan, Calif., a son of Troy and Loris Burbridge.
In 1958, he graduated from Oroville Union High School in Oroville, Calif., where he participated in basketball, baseball and track.
Mr. Burbridge worked at a sawmill in Chester, Calif., until he became disabled. He moved to Rogue River in 1964.
On Aug. 8, 1967, he married Marjorie Fuller. They later divorced.
He was a member of the Rogue River Assembly of God.
Mr. Burbridge enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially baseball, basketball and boxing, and listening to country-western and gospel music.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Alford, Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two brothers, Cedric Clevenger, Salem, and Jack Burbridge, Fresno, Calif.; a sister, Kaylene Davidson, Medford; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Loris Burbridge; and a brother, Kirby Gene Burbridge.
Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at 550 Business Park Drive, Medford.

Lee O. Garrett
The funeral for Lee O. Garrett will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Medford. The Rev. Craig Rench and Pastor Dan Penn will officiate.
A graveside service will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Garrett, 68, of Medford, died Wednesday (March 22, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 11, 1931, in Medford, a son of Otis and Elsie (Standley) Garrett.
He graduated from Talent High School and lived in the Rogue Valley all his life.
On Nov. 21, 1952, in Medford, he married Alice Vinzant, who survives.
Mr. Garrett was a truck driver for Roland Holmes Dairy Company. He later worked as an equipment operator for the City of Medford for 11 years.
He also was a volunteer school bus driver for Grace Christian School.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
He was a past member of the American Judo and Jujitsu Federation, and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Medford.
Mr. Garrett enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Toni A. Garrett, Medford, and Cindy Phillips, Central Point; a sister, Ruth McCloud, Ashland; and two grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles.

Walter Thomas Self
The funeral for Walter Thomas Self will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Phoenix. The Rev. John Braund will officiate.
A graveside service will follow in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Self, 76, of Phoenix, died Wednesday (March 22, 2000) at his home.

He was born May 29, 1923, in Omaha, Neb.
He graduated from Whittier College in California.
On June 14, 1946, he married Paula N. Strider, who died in 1997.
Mr. Self was a principal for the West Covina Unified School District in California, serving in the education field for more than 30 years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot on the USS Sergeant Bay aircraft carrier.
He remained in the Naval Reserves until he retired as a lieutenant commander in 1983.
Mr. Self was on the board of directors for the Fleet Reserve in Grants Pass and the Rogue Valley Dialysis Patients Trust Fund in Medford.
He attended the Presbyterian church.
Mr. Self enjoyed water skiing, fishing and camping.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Ruth Schweitzer, Medford, and Nancy Jo Rasmusssen, Tigard; a son, James Thomas, Grass Valley, Calif.; a step-brother, Walt Palmer, Sparks, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Horace and Howard.

Charles `Chuck' Clark
The graveside service for Charles H. "Chuck" Clark will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford. The Veterans for Veterans will officiate.
Mr. Clark, 79, of Medford, died Saturday (March 18, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 24, 1921, in Newell, S.D., a son of George A. and Hildur (Elfstrom) Clark.
On Dec. 12, 1943, in Escondido, Calif., he married Lola Montez Klein, who died in 1991.
They moved to Medford from Fallbrook, Calif., in 1957.
Mr. Clark and his wife owned and operated Chuck's Market in Medford for years. He later worked for Medford Motors for many years.
After his retirement, he operated Chuck's Trading Post at the site of his former grocery store.
During world War II, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard in the South Pacific.
Mr. Clark enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was well-known for his gardening skills and gave away much of his produce every year.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry A., Ted H., and Nick G., all Medford; a daughter, Judy C. Hobbs, Central Point; two sisters, Jeannie Evans, Canyonville, and Helen Berg, San Diego; two brothers, Cameron Clark, Fallbrook, Calif., and Donald Clark, Lakewood, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by an infant son and three brothers.
