Loren G. `Buzz' Fleener
The funeral for Loren G. "Buzz" Fleener will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Medford Friends Church. Pastor Mark Burton will officiate.
Mr. Fleener, 70, of Central Point, died Tuesday (March 28, 2000) at his home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Taopi, Minn., a son of Harry Charles and Elsie Fleener.
On Sept. 6, 1952, in Seattle, he married Barbara, who survives.
Mr. Fleener was a travel agent. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Bellevue, Wash.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Unit VMG 216, Air Detachment at Sandy Point, Wash.
Mr. Fleener was a member of the Lakeside Masonic Lodge No. 258, York Rite, Scottish Rite, and Nile Temple, all in Washington. In the Rogue Valley, he was a member of Hillah Temple Medford Lodge, Medford Elks, Rogue Elks RV Club and the Central Point Lions Club, where he served as president from 1998-1999. He helped start American Legion Post No. 99, Eastgate, Bellevue, Wash., and the Little League in Central Point. He also served on the board of Lions Sight & Hearing and was a courier for the eye bank.
He enjoyed golf, woodworking, the outdoors and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Jeff, Kittitas, Wash.; three daughters, Judi Griffith, Springfield, Paula Lynch, Bellevue, Wash., and Lisa Grey, Maple Valley, Wash.; four brothers, Delmar L., Iowa City, Iowa, Gene A., Des Moines, Iowa, Merrill J.,
Sunnyside, Calif., and Eldon "Bill, " Los Banos, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a brother, Byron; and a sister, Norma Rice.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Central Valley Cremation & Funeral Care, 800 S. Front St., Central Point.
Daniel Leon Gunter
The graveside service for Daniel Leon Gunter will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford. Pastor Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate.
Mr. Gunter, 65, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 28, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Association of Oregon, P.O. Box 222, Portland, OR 97207.
He was born April 27, 1934, in Medford, a son of Claude L. and Elsie (Landing) Gunter. He graduated from Medford High School and lived in the Rogue Valley all his life.
Mr. Gunter was a truck driver with LTM for 25 years, and Speedway Auto Wreckers for 15 years.
He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Mr. Gunter enjoyed antique cars.
Survivors include a son, Donald, Medford; two daughters, Maureen Pixler, Kingman, Ariz., and Patti Hedrick, Wilmington, Ohio; his parents, Claude L. and Elsie Gunter, Medford; a brother, Tommy, Medford; two sisters, Juanita Lee, Medford, and Betty Farrar, Monrovia, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. today at Conger-Morris Chapel, 715 W. Main, Medford.
Edla Christine Erwen
Edla Christine Erwen, 95, of Medford, died Tuesday (March 28, 2000) at her home. The memorial service will be held in Pasco, Wash.
She was born March 7, 1905, in San Jose, Calif.
In 1929, in San Jose, Calif., she married Edmund Erwen, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Erwen was a member of the Daughters of the Nile in Pasco, Wash. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Pasco six years ago.
She enjoyed crocheting and family gatherings.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

Joseph N. Delgado
The funeral Mass for Dr. Joseph N. Delgado will be at 11 a.m. today at Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church. The Rev. Brendan McAnerney will officiate. Private interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Santa Barbara, Calif.
Dr. Delgado, 74, of Ashland, died Tuesday (March 28, 2000) at his home of natural causes.
He was born Oct. 29, 1925, in Aguascalientes, Mexico. He moved to the United States with his family at four and was raised in Los Angeles.
He attended the University of California at Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, where he earned degrees in zoology and sociology. He then went on to study medicine at the University of Mexico City.
Dr. Delgado practiced pediatrics in Santa Barbara, Calif., for 35 years.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy as a radio telegraph operator.
Dr. Delgado was active in the Santa Barbara Children's Home Society, the Los Prietos Boys Camp, and the Santa Barbara Medical Society.
His family and his faith were very important to him.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, Ashland; four sons, John, Ashland, Gregory, Portland, Charles, Santa Barbara, Calif., and David, Los Angeles; two daughters, Mariana Cooper-Delgado, Ashland, and Elizabeth Bayo-Delgado, Navarra, Spain; a sister, Marie, Los Angeles; and 14 grandchildren.

Edward G. Wielgosz
Edward Gordon Wielgosz, 78, of Eagle Point, died March 22, 2000 at Rogue Valley Medical Center. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Milwaukee, Wisc., a son of Frank and Catherine (Zielinski) Wielgosz.
Mr. Wielgosz worked as an appliance repairman. He moved to the Rogue Valley 23 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Grace Starczynski, Oak Creek, Wis.

Ruth Anne Fernandez
The memorial service for Ruth Anne Fernandez will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Applegate Christian Fellowship. Pastor John Courson will officiate.
Ruth, 16, of Jacksonville, died March 23, 2000.

Lina Charlotte Pruin
Lina Charlotte Pruin, 85, of Eagle Point, died Friday (March 24, 2000) at her home. The service has been held.
She was born Nov. 8, 1914, in Riesa, Germany.
On June 7, 1946, in Aurich, Germany, she married Hermann J. Pruin, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1997 from Frankfurt, Germany.
Mrs. Pruin was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Pruin enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and reading.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Monika Nussbaum, Eagle Point, and Anita Bookter, Fall City, Wash.; a brother, Rudolph Hentschel, Stuttgart, Germany; and four grandchildren.
