David Earl Gregory
The graveside service for David Earl Gregory will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor John Adams will officiate.
Mr. Gregory, 57, of Butte Falls, died April 7, 2000, in Medford.
He was born Sept. 25, 1942, in Klamath Falls, a son of Earl and Doris (Foulon) Gregory. He lived in Medford from 1951 to 1957 and in Gold Hill from 1957 to 1965. He graduated from Crater High School in 1961, and attended Northrup Engineering from 1970 to 1973.
On Sept. 25, 1965, in Gold Hill, he married Judy Post. They later divorced. On Oct. 8, 1986, in Eagle Point, he married Betty Pool, who survives. He had lived in the Gold Hill and Butte Falls areas since 1977.
Mr. Gregory was an estimator/contractor for Sears.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years.
Mr. Gregory was a volunteer for the Butte Falls Fire Department.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, skin and scuba diving and building.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Jason and Travis Gregory; a stepdaughter, Michelle Poole; his mother, Doris F. Allen, Gold Hill; a stepbrother, Eugene Allen, Clarksdale, Miss.; two sisters, Roberta Allen, Gold Hill, and Laura Allen, Sams Valley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Gregory; and his stepfather, Claude B. Allen.

Audrey Jane Barron
Audrey Jane Barron, 76, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (April 20, 2000) at Three Rivers Community Hospital, Washington Campus, Grants Pass. No service is planned. Her ashes will be scattered at sea by the U.S. Coast Guard.

She was born Sept. 3, 1923, in Johnstown, Pa. She attended Westmort-Upper Yoder High School, Stephens College, and Columbia University. She received a bachelor of music degree and her master of music degree from Louisiana State University.
Ms. Barron was a link trainer instructor in the U.S. Navy, was commissioned in the U.S. Army and served as a captain. She subsequently enlisted in the Army California National Guard, retiring in 1983. She then worked for the California State Department until her retirement in 1977, when she moved to Oregon.
She was a member of Waves National, the Women's Army Corps Association, the Military Order of World Wars and the Retired Officers' Association.
Ms. Barron was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Jacksonville.

Margaret Biegel
The memorial service for Margaret Biegel will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home in Ashland. Inurnment will be at Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland.
Mrs. Biegel, 97, of Ashland, died Wednesday (April 19, 2000) at her home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
She was born Hendrika Margarethe Rodeside on Sept. 15, 1902, in Tacoma, Wash., a daughter of Barney and Bertha Rodeside, who had immigrated from Norway. At a young age she moved with her family to Terrebonne, where they pursued farming. She attended Terrebonne and Redmond public schools, and attained a certificate in teacher's training. She received a bachelor of arts degree in romance languages from the University of Oregon in 1925, and moved to Rogue Valley.
On July 12, 1928, she married Elmer C. Biegel, who retired as Ashland's city administrator. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Biegel taught high school in Sam's Valley for three years, and in Ashland for six years.
She was active in the Lincoln School PTA, and was an active volunteer for the Ashland Hospital Auxiliary. She belonged to Alpha Chapter No. 1 of the Order of the Eastern Star where she held several offices before becoming Past Matron in 1937.
Mrs. Biegel was a member of Ashland Presbyterian Church.
She was an avid reader. She enjoyed playing cards, particularly bridge and pinochle, working in her yard and doing needlework.
Survivors include a sister, Thelma Lantz, Terrebonne. She was preceded in death by a son; and two sisters.

Audrey L. Kiger
Audrey Lucille Kiger, 60, of Ashland, died Wednesday (April 19, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service was held.

She was born Nov. 10, 1939, in Klamath Falls, a daughter of Kenneth and Ruby Kiger. She was raised in Klamath Falls and attended Dental Assistance School in Los Angeles.
In Klamath Falls, Ms. Kiger worked as a hospital surgical nurse's aid. She moved to Ashland in 1975, where she worked at Parson's Pine. For the past 10 years, she worked for Trinity Lanes in Ashland.
She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1961.
Ms. Kiger enjoyed bowling and reading.
Survivors include her mother, Ruby Kiger, Ashland; a brother, Hollis, Keno; two sisters, Frances McGhee, Sandpoint, Idaho and Georgia Standley, Portland.

Iris Josephine Rogers
Iris Josephine "Josey" Rogers, 68, of Talent, died Wednesday (April 19, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private memorial service will be held Sunday in Ashland.
She was born Iris Josephine Robinson on Oct. 28, 1931, in Eureka, Calif., and grew up in the Briceland/Garberville area.
On May 19, 1951, she married Ward B. Rogers. In 1955, they moved to Hilt, Calif., where they lived and raised their family. In 1975, they moved to Talent, where they retired.
Mrs. Rogers enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, and her family.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Ward; two daughters, Susan Padgett and Judy Rogers, both Talent; two sons, Randy, Eagle Point, and Warren, Yreka, Calif.; two sisters, Joeanna Rogers, Ashland, and Patsy Hopper, Briceland, Calif.; a brother, Ronald Elliott, Libby, Mont.; and five grandchildren.

Patricia McGuire
The memorial service for Patricia Asche Geiger McGuire will be at 11 a.m. today at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church, 2537 Game Farm Road, Springfield. Interment will be in Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego.
Mrs. McGuire, 78, of Springfield, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday (April 18, 2000) in Springfield.

She was born March 19, 1922, in Bayard, Neb., a daughter of Harry W. and Freda (Asche) Geiger. She graduated from Bishop Clarkson School of Nursing in Nebraska in 1944.
On Jan. 5, 1946, in Salt Lake City, she married John Weldon McGuire, who died in 1996. She lived in Medford from 1968 to 1985, and in Carson City, Nev. from 1985 until 1993, when she moved to Springfield.
Mrs. McGuire was a registered nurse.
During World War II, she served in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
Mrs. McGuire was a member of St. John the Divine Episcopal Church and St. John's Lutheran Church in Leigh, Neb.
She enjoyed flowers, nature, crocheting, and caring for her children's dogs.
Survivors include a son, Dan, Springfield; and a daughter, Cristie Colleen McGuire, San Diego. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Bryant and Jackie Nielson.

Harriet `Winnie' Slead
The graveside service for Harriet "Winnie" Slead will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate.
Mrs. Slead, 74, of Medford, died Wednesday (April 19, 2000) at her home.

She was born Feb. 6, 1926, in Palisade, Colo., a daughter of Thomas and Jessie "Joice" Smith. She attended Rogue Valley schools and lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
On Feb. 3, 1959, in Las Vegas, she married Bernal O. Slead, who died in 1967.
Mrs. Slead was a waitress at the former Valentine's Cafe during the 1940s, and then at the Rogue Valley Country Club for several years. She and her husband also owned the Timber Room Cafe and Lounge at East Main and South Riverside for 11 years. She sold it in 1974, and worked at the Rogue Riviera Supper Club until she retired in 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Dale Ashcraft, Butte Falls; two sisters, Maxine Mumford and Betty Purdue, both Medford; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Frank and Dean Smith; and two sisters, Dorothy Huff and Helena "Suzie" Coghill.
