Richard Charles Bills
Richard Charles Bills, 74, of Medford, died Tuesday (April 11, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born April 10, 1926, in Boston, a son of William Edward and Harriet Elaine (Mills) Bills.
Mr. Bills was a surveyor.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Bills was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two brothers, H.J., Phoenix, Ariz., and Donald, Boston; and two sisters, Elaine Gobbi and Alice McDowell, both Boston. He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Billy Eldoris Rose
Billy Eldoris Rose, 71, of White City, died Wednesday (April 12, 2000) at his home. No service is planned.
He was born May 22, 1928, in Independence, Kan., a son of Albert and Inez (Berentz) Rose.
On Sept. 2, 1950, in Reno, Nev., he married Dorothy June Sevier, who survives.
Mr. Rose served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, retiring from active duty in 1964. He then spent 10 years in the Naval Reserve. He moved to Oregon in 1976.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and golf.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Thomas, Ashland, and Jeff and David, both White City; a daughter, Candy Backes, White City; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Osceola Turman
Osceola Turman, 84, of Central Point, died Tuesday (April 11, 2000) at Alderwood Assisted Living Facility. The funeral was held Friday at Central Valley Chapel. Pastor Bob Batte officiated. Private interment followed at Rock Point Cemetery.

She was born April 2, 1916, in Shady Point, Okla.
In 1944, in Joplin, Mo., she married Walter Lee Turman, who died in 1967. She moved to the Rogue Valley 13 years ago from Torrance, Calif.
Mrs. Turman attended the Lampman Road Baptist Church in Gold Hill.
Survivors include three daughters, Eleanor Wasson, Gold Hill, Wanda Turman, Brawley, Calif., and Debra Turman, Torrance, Calif.; a son, Buddy Davidson, Calipatria, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Davidson.

Orville Sidney Leao Sr.
Orville Sidney Leao Sr., 85, of Phoenix, died Tuesday (April 11, 2000) at his home. Private interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
He was born March 13, 1915, on a farm outside Hartford, S.D., a son of Sidney and Marie Leao.
On June 13, 1961, in Lone Pine, Calif., he married Norine E. Statzel, who survives.
Mr. Leao worked at Rossi in Lone Pine, Calif., retiring in 1977. He then moved to Visalia, Calif., and to Phoenix in 1999.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Orville S. Jr., Talent; and three grandchildren.

John Dumble
The memorial service for John Dumble will be a 7 p.m. today in Bethel Church. A potluck will follow in the church Fellowship Hall.
Mr. Dumble, 59, of Shady Cove, died Tuesday (April 11, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Frances Jean Hanks
Frances Jean Hanks, 71, of Central Point, died Friday (April 14, 2000) at her home. A private service will be held.

She was born Frances Swartz on Jan. 4, 1929, in Oxnard, Calif. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1958 from Lakeview.
Ms. Hanks was a registered nurse. She worked at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary in White City until her retirement.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean Duran, White City; a sister, Anna Mae Albertson, Lakeview; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beth Haskins.

M. Darlene Staggers
The funeral for M. Darlene Staggers will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. Pastor David Humphreys of Phoenix Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Staggers, 69, of Phoenix, died Sunday (April 16, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born M. Darlene Moore on July 14, 1930, on the family farm in Medford, where she lived all of her life. She was the daughter of Jessie and Ollie (Fitts) Moore. She attended Phoenix schools and graduated from Phoenix High School.
On May 12, 1948, in Medford, she married Raymond Staggers, who survives.
Mrs. Staggers was a packer at Rogue River Packing Co. and Associated Fruit Co. for several years.
She was a member of the Phoenix Church of Christ.
Mrs. Staggers enjoyed gardening and raising farm animals.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Lonnie Kurz, Jacksonville, and Ranae Shurtz, Medford; a sister, Dottie Schoonover, Salem; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clorin and Furl Moore.

Tabitha Anna Foley
The memorial service for Tabitha Anna Foley will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Conger-Morris Medford Chapel. The Rev. Bob Larsen of Ascension Lutheran Church will officiate.
Tabitha, 18, of Central Point, died Saturday (April 15, 2000) at her home.
She was born April 14, 1982, in Medford, a daughter of David and Carol Foley. She was a senior at South Medford High School, and was looking forward to the upcoming senior prom.
Tabitha had worked at Gold's Gym, and as a secretary at the Student Counseling Center at South Medford High School during her sophomore and junior years.
She received the Kiwanis Student of the Month award.
Tabitha enjoyed tennis, basketball, writing and talking, and styling hair.
Survivors include her father, David Foley, Central Point; her mother, Carol Foley, Redding, Calif.; a brother, Adam Chester Foley, Central Point; and her grandparents, Elaine Baker, Medford, and Thomas and Jean Foley, Sequin, Wash.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Central Valley Chapel in Central Point.
