‘Bill’ Willard Braunberger
The memorial service for "Bill" Willard J. Braunberger will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Grants Pass Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pastor Marvin Clark will officiate. Grants Pass Elks Lodge No. 1584 and American Legion Post 28 Funeral Honor Guard will participate.
Mr. Braunberger, 80, of Grants Pass, died Saturday (Sept. 30, 2000) at his home.

He was born March 22, 1920, in Alberta, Canada. He came to Oregon in 1940.
On May 7, 1945, in England, he married Poppy Eileen Pavitt, who died in 1994. They moved to Oregon in 1946. After a nine-year stay in Southern California, they returned to the Rogue Valley in 1961.
Mr. Braunberger was an administrator for the State Forestry Department until his retirement in 1982.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater.
Mr. Braunberger was an active member of Grants Pass Elks Lodge No. 1584, where he was exalted ruler in 1981-82. He stayed involved as a coach for the state Elks competitions and many other Elks-related activities and charities. He served on the Election Board for many years, and was a board member of the Grants Pass Irrigation District. He was also a member of the British American Club.
He volunteered as a senior citizens bus driver and with Meals on Wheels delivery. He enjoyed helping others with any building, automotive or gardening project, and he and his wife were foster parents to three children.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Braunberger-Haugen, Grants Pass, and Gloria Braunberger-Reichstein, Fountain Valley; a son, David, Chattaroy, Wash.; a brother, Arnold; three sisters, Irene, Gladys and Edna; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth S. Anderson
The memorial service for Kenneth S. Anderson will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery Interment Shelter.
Mr. Anderson, 84, of Medford, died Tuesday (Oct. 3, 2000) at Hearthstone.
He was born Aug. 29, 1916, in London, Ohio, a son of Starleing and Anna (Willis) Anderson. On Feb. 14, 1945, in Aurora, Colo., he married Irene Crimaldi, who survives. They lived in the Salem area until 1979, when they traveled between Culver, Ore., and Glendale, Ariz. They have been living with their son in Medford.
Mr. Anderson was an instructor for the Chemawa Indian School in Salem at the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He also worked with the fire department and drove an ambulance in McMinnville.
He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Janice Seward, Salem; two sons, Dale, Salem, and Allen, Medford; a brother, James, Seal Rock; a sister, Doris Arsenault, Peoria, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Filburn; and two brothers, Marlyn and Ivan.

Beverly June Juhl
The memorial service for Beverly June Juhl will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Methodist Church in Ashland.
Mrs. Juhl died April 28, 2000, at her home in Ashland. She was 71.

She was born Feb. 12, 1929, in Pueblo, Colo. She worked for several years as office administrator for Castro Valley School systems before coming to Ashland in 1978.
Mrs. Juhl was a member of the Extended Circle, First Methodist Church in Ashland, Siskiyou Singers; Sweet Adelines; and the Oregon Chapter of China Painters.
Survivors include her husband, William P. Juhl, Ashland; daughter Jenny L. Stone, Portland; three grandsons; and her mother, Thelma McNeil, Eugene.

Margaret Parker-Janes
The funeral for Margaret Parker-Janes will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Apostolic Faith Church, 5414 S.E. Duke, Portland. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Butte Falls Cemetery.
Mrs. Parker-Janes, 96, of Portland, formerly of Medford, died Monday (May 1, 2000) in Portland.
She was born Margaret Wolcott on April 20, 1904, in Bartlett, N.D.
She moved to Portland as a young girl and attended Franklin High School and a business college.
On June 21, 1924, she married William Parker, who died in 1986.
In 1986, she married Ora Janes, who died in 1987.
Mrs. Parker-Janes was a homemaker. During a 50-year period, she lived in 50 different houses in many cities, including Medford, Roseburg, San Francisco, Grants Pass and Tacoma, Wash.
She returned to Portland in 1975, where she was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Warren Parker, San Diego; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene Lamar Parker and William Raymond Parker Jr.

Lois Mae Nairne
The funeral for Lois Mae Nairne will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Nairne, 73, of Medford, died Friday (May 5, 2000) at her home.

She was born Lois Mae Anderson May 28, 1926, in Richmond, Calif.
On June 2, 1946, in Berkeley, Calif., she married Andrew T. Nairne, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from Folsom, Calif., in 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Lori Nairne, of San Francisco, Calif.; a son, Kenneth Nairne, of Ephrata, Wash.; and a brother.
She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Nairne.
James H. Wiegand
James Herman Wiegand, 84, of Medford, died Wednesday (May 3, 2000) at his home. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

Mr. Herman was born Sept. 11, 1915, in Traverse City, Mich. He received a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan.
On Aug. 12, 1942, in Traverse City, he married Florence Wransky, who died in 1998.
Mr. Wiegand taught plastic engineering at San Diego State University. He helped develop solid rocket propellant fuel (the fuel used on the moon shot in 1969) at the Naval Ordnance Test Station in Inyokern (China Lake), Calif.
He enjoyed playing croquet and restoring antique clocks.
Survivors include a daughter, Elissa McGarry, Mulino.

Henrietta W. Kugler
Henrietta W. Kugler, 80, of Medford, died Friday (May 5, 2000) at her home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

She was born Jan. 5, 1920, in Bennett, Iowa, a daughter of Henry and Clara (Flenker) Weih.
On July 13, 1941, in Bennett, Iowa, she married Kenneth Kugler, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1978 from Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Mrs. Kugler was a member of the P.E.O. and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Medford.
Mrs. Kugler enjoyed creative crafts, small antiques, painting and family gatherings.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, George, Medford, David, Lewiston, Idaho, and Don, Pocatello, Idaho; a daughter, Kathryn Williams, Bellevue, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren.
The memorial service for Henrietta W. Kugler will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Medford.
