Amelia E. Jordan
Amelia E. Jordan, 86, of Medford died Tuesday (Oct. 17, 2000) in Las Vegas. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Las Vegas. Interment will be at Palm Valley View Memorial Park in Las Vegas.
She was born Amelia E. Stravolo on July 11, 1914, in Lewistown, Pa. On Sept. 3, 1938, she married Charles E. Jordan, who preceded her in death in 1981. She moved the Rogue Valley in May of 1999 from Las Vegas.
Mrs. Jordan attended Catholic services at Fountain Plaza.
She enjoyed singing, bridge, bingo and playing the dollar slot machines in Las Vegas.
Survivors include two daughters, Rosemary E. Esp, Central Point, and Theresa A. Pogue, Venus, Texas; two sons, Charles E. Jr., Woodland Hills, Calif., and Thomas M., Lake Forest, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Clifford Ralph Fauble
The memorial service for Cliff Fauble will be held at Eagle Point Community Bible Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Pastor Doug Higuera of Trail Christian Fellowship will officiate.
Mr. Fauble, 74, of Eagle Point, died Wednesday (Oct. 18, 2000) at his home.

He was born on July 7, 1926, in Shawnee, Okla., a son of Ralph and Hazel Fauble. On April 3, 1969, in Los Angeles, he married Alice Sexton Baker, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1973.
Mr. Fauble served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was self-employed until his retirement in 1973.
Mr. Fauble enjoyed sports. He was a senior club champion at Cedar Links golf course in 1983.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Bruce, Gold Hill, Robert, Rocklin, Calif., and Brad, Sacramento; two stepsons, Chris Baker, Springfield, and Greg Baker, Costa Mesa, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Robert Dement Church
The memorial service for Robert Dement Church will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, at Lopez Community Church, Lopez Island, Wash. Interment will be at 1 p.m., Nov. 7, 2000 in the Mountain View Cemetery in Walla Walla, Wash.
Mr. Church, 91, of Lopez Island, Wash., formerly of Medford, died Sept. 20, 2000, at his son’s home in San Jose, Calif.

Mr. Church was born on July 16, 1909 in Walla Walla. On July 5, 1933 he married Nina Marie Porter in Walla Walla. She preceded him in death in 1988.
He worked as a meteorologist with the United States Weather Bureau for 35 years. He was the chief operations officer for the Medford station for more than 20 years, retiring in 1964.
Mr. Church was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 103 and Hillah Shrine Temple, in Medford; Elks Lodge No. 1204; the Lopez Island Grange; Retired Weather Bureau Association; San Juan Amateur Radio Operators; Society of Mayflower Descendants; and the Lopez Island Community Church. He was awarded the Silver Beaver Award for his service to the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include: a son, Donald Lawrence Church, San Jose, Calif.; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.

Robert Victor Woolfolk
The funeral for Robert Victor Woolfolk will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at Hull & Hull Chapel in Grants Pass. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Woolfolk, 73, of Rogue River, died Thursday (Oct. 19, 2000) at his home.

He was born on Dec. 10, 1926 in Grants Pass.
Mr. Woolfolk was a 1945 graduate of Grants Pass High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy for two years.
Mr. Woolfolk was a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years for local union No. 701, which he joined July 6, 1951.
He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include; his wife, Marie Woolfolk, Rogue River; two daughters, Janet Senn, Grants Pass, and Coleen Frantz, Keizer; two sons, Arnold Hempel, Concord, N.C., and Bill Hempel, Harbor; a sister, Helen Summer, Eugene; a brother, William, Pleasant Hill, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Nancy L. Vanderpool
The memorial service for Nancy Lucille Vanderpool will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Living Praise Church, Central Point. Phil Gore will officiate.
Mrs. Vanderpool, 73, of Central Point, died Wednesday (Oct. 18, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Logan, Mo., a daughter of Theodore and Rosa Hammond Stewart. On Aug. 24, 1946, she married Fay Franklin Vanderpool, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Vanderpool was a homemaker, and worked as a cook for a section gang on the railroad in Wyoming.
She was a member of the Living Praise widows group.
Mrs. Vanderpool enjoyed crocheting, gardening and sewing.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Sr., Grants Pass; three brothers, Haskel Stewart, White City, Paul and Charles Stewart, both of Wassilla, Ark.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald.

Betty Lorene Walch
The memorial service for Betty Lorene Walch will be at 2 p.m. Monday, at Litwiller Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
Mrs. Walch, 81, of Phoenix, died Thursday (Oct. 19, 2000) in Medford.
She was born Sept. 15, 1919, in Littleton, Colo., a daughter of Marvin and Annie Ring. She moved to Oregon in 1935.
Mrs. Walch was a 1936 graduate of Ashland High School. She graduated from Southern Oregon College.
She worked as a teacher in Ashland, Umpqua, Castella, Calif., and Hilt, Calif.
Mrs. Walch enjoyed oil painting.
Survivors include two sisters, her twin Peggy Gilley, Ashland, and Rosemary Johnson, Redding, Calif.; and two brothers, Marvin Ring, Corvallis, and David Ring, Anchorage. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Ann Rusher, in 1993.

Laveta Lillian Presley
Laveta Lillian Presley, 77, of Medford, died Wednesday (Oct. 18, 2000) at Medford Rehabilitation Center. No service is planned.

She was born on March 31, 1923, in Anaheim, Calif., a daughter of Sylvester and Slana Fuller. On Dec. 31, 1941, in Reno, she married William R. Presley, who survives. She moved to Medford in 1960 from Gridley, Calif.
Mrs. Presley owned two farms in the Sacramento Valley.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, William E., Winchester Bay, and Robert W., Forrestville, Calif.; three daughters, Janice E. Price, Florissant, Colo., Corliss Inez Sanders, Broomfield, Colo., and Yolanda Presley, Marysville, Calif.; a brother, Sylvester Fuller Jr., Oroville, Calif.; three sisters, Dorothy West, Reedsport, Donna Kay Domingo, Oroville, Calif., and Louise Sullivan, Rancho Murieta, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters.
