Ivan Elliot Olson
The graveside service for Ivan Elliot Olson will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland. Rev. Ross Knotts and Rev. Alice Knotts of Talent Methodist Church will officiate.
Mr. Olson, 91, of Talent, died Monday (Oct. 16, 2000) at his home
He was born on Nov. 11, 1908, in Myrtle Creek.
On Nov., 11, 1936, he married Helen T. Kantor, who survives.
He was a 1925 graduate of Talent High School.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, Michael A., Talent; three daughters, Mary K. Dugan, St. Helens, Teresa J. Hirte, Tualatin, and Trientje A. Mullins, Los Molinos, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard, a brother, Hollis, and a grandson.
Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
June B. Rohrer
June B. Rohrer, 74, of Shady Cove, died Sunday (Oct. 14, 2000) at her home. No services are planned.
She was born June Rudy on June 14, 1926, in Lancaster, Pa.
In 1966 in Virginia she married Warren Rohrer. He died in February 2000. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Anaheim, Calif.
Mrs. Rohrer worked in manufacturing government contracts.
She was a former member of a Firefighters Women’s Auxiliary in Pennsylvania.
Mrs. Rohrer enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and traveling.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Heisler, Shady Cove; and a brother, Harold Rudy Jr., in Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry, and a brother.

Joyce Leeann Johnson
Joyce Leeann Johnson, 58, of Gold Hill, died Friday (Oct. 13, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Dec. 16, 1941, in Ashland. She married Ron Bigelow, who survives. She was a lifetime resident of the Rogue Valley.
Mrs. Johnson enjoyed crafts.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her mother, Lelaine Rush; two sons, Kerry and Randy; a daughter, Dawn; two sisters, Janice Weaver and Joleen Birchfield; and two grandchildren, all of White City:

Stewart Harlan Schubert
Stewart Harlan Schubert, 62, of Butte Falls, died Friday (Oct. 13, 2000) at his home. Private services were held.
He was born on March 18, 1938, in Devil’s Lake, N.D., a son of Carl and Florence (Shupe) Schubert. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1999 from Cashmere, Wash.
Mr. Schubert was a glazier working with glass until retiring in March of 1999.
He enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading.
Survivors include; his companion, Vera Chapman, Butte Falls; a daughter, Corinne Schubert, Branson, Mo.; a son Jeff, Yakima, Wash.; two brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren.

Lucy F. Young
The graveside service for Lucy F. Young will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. David Close of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will officiate. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.
Mrs. Young, 84, of Medford, died Sunday (Oct. 15, 2000) at Edgewood Home for Ladies, Medford.
She was born Lucy Augusta Fuller on March 31, 1916, in Malta, N.Y., a daughter of Charles and Tressa (Collamer) Fuller. On Sept. 25, 1939, in Phoenix, Ariz., she married LeRoy Elwood Young, who died in 1982. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1981 from Phoenix, Ariz.
Mrs. Young graduated from Scotia High School in 1934. She worked for General Electric in Schenectady, N.Y., San Jose, Calif., and Phoenix, Ariz., before retiring in 1971.
She served on the vestry at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and was active in the Christmas bazaars.
Mrs. Young enjoyed oil painting, bowling and needlework.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Kay Martin, Eagle Point; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, and two brothers.

Martha M. Elias
The graveside service for Martha M. Elias will be at 10 a.m. today at the Pioneer Masonic Cemetery in Grants Pass. The Rev. John Cihak of St. Anne Catholic Church will officiate.
Mrs. Elias, 96, of Grants Pass, died Monday (Oct. 16, 2000) at Highland House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass.
She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church of Grants Pass.
Survivors include a daughter, June Abgrab, Grants Pass; a son, Simon, Lake Forest, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1946; a son, Joseph, in 1986; and two daughters, Sally Elias Botieri, in 1987, and Loraine Elias Reichert, in 1991.

Mae Estelle Valentine
The memorial service for Mae Estelle Valentine will be at 11 a.m. today at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Valentine, 65, of White City, died Monday (Oct. 16, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1934, in Missoula, Mont., a daughter of Watt and Marjory (Michaealson) Trumbull. On March 18, 1953, in Reno, Nev., she married Donald E. Valentine, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1946 from Portland.
Mrs. Valentine worked at Hearthstone as a certified nurses aide for 20 years until her retirement in the 1980s.
She was a volunteer at the White City Branch Library and was involved in the reading program.
Mrs. Valentine enjoyed children, flower gardening, and fish ponds.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Ronald, White City, and Rick, Trail; two daughters, Sheri Valentine and Tami Contento, both of Medford; two sisters, Mona Joiner, Central Point, and Elaine McFarland, Santa Ana, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
