Jerry Hahn
The memorial service for Jerome Allen Hahn will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Prospect Episcopal Church.
Mr. Hahn, 58, of Prospect, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000) in Shady Cove as a result of an automobile accident.

Clara Graham
The memorial service for Clara Graham will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville. Private interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.

Mrs. Graham, 82, of Jacksonville, died Saturday (Oct. 28, 2000) in Jacksonville.
She was born Clara Waite on Aug. 13, 1918 in Northumberland, England, a daughter of Harry and Mary (Berriman) Waite. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1937 from Wyoming. On Dec. 12, 1936, in Wheatland, Wyo. she married E. O., "Curly" Graham, who died in 1994.
Mrs. Graham and her husband owned and operated the "Mustard Seed" Coffee Shop in Jacksonville from 1958 to 1982.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Jacksonville, and the Royal Neighbors of America.
Mrs. Graham enjoyed flowers, bird watching, fishing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include; a daughter, Melba Hawkins, Jacksonville; a son Edward, Salem; a sister, Eva Phillips, Central Point; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Lynn, and a daughter, Priscilla Brown.

Marlene Lillian Edgmon
Family services for Marlene Lillian Gallagher Edgmon have been held.
Mrs. Edgmon, 48, of Ashland, died Thursday (Oct. 26, 2000) at her home.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1951 in Somerville, Maine, a daughter of Daniel Robert and Virginia Gertrude (Mortell) Murname.
Survivors include her husband, Patrick Edgmon, Ashland; a son, Jason Gallagher, Ashland; a daughter, Tammy Gallagher-Hess, Ashland; three sisters, Carol Randall, Natick, Maine, Doreen Milliken, Haverhill, Maine, and Patricia Sevigny, Derry, N.H.; two brothers, James and Richard Murnane, both of Billerica, Mass.; and four grandchildren.
Arrangements: Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory, Ashland.
Lee Collinsworth
The memorial service for Beebe "Lee" Collinsworth will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at Faith Lutheran Church, 820 W. Kenwood St., Roseburg. Pastor Ray Venghaus will officiate. A reception will be held after the service.
Mr. Collinsworth, 74, of Roseburg, formerly of the Rogue Valley, died Thursday (Oct. 26, 2000), at Mercy Hospital in Roseburg. Inurnment will be in Roseburg Memorial Gardens Valley View Cemetery.

He was born on Feb. 10, 1926 in Anaheim, Calif., a son of Jefferson Freelin Collinsworth and Eunice May Duff-Collinsworth. On Dec. 31, 1947 in Reno he married Elaine Judith Hovland, who died in 1990. On May 17, 1997 he married Pauline Hillyer, who survives.
Mr. Collinsworth graduated from Ashland High School; he attended Southern Oregon College.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater as a submariner on the USS Silversides, the USS Guardfish and in other capacities on the USS Fulton and the USS Iowa.
Mr. Collinsworth worked in the Ashland and Central Point Police Departments. In 1948 he was hired by the Oregon State Police, and 34 years later on Jan. 1, 1982, he retired from the Roseburg office. During his tenure, he was also stationed in Medford, Coquille and Reedsport.
He was a member of Ashland Elks Lodge No. 944, the Masonic Lodge in Ashland, and a past member of the Central Point JC’s. He served as a board member of the Douglas County Safety Council.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Shinall, Portland, and Dayle Baker, Myrtle Point; two sons, Michael, Roseburg, and Paul, Bend; a step-son, Lee Mobley, Portland; two half-sisters, Wanda Sue Ohman and Jackie Lee Collinsworth; and four grandchildren.

Donna Venelle Straus
Donna Venelle Straus, 90, of Central Point, died Sunday (Oct. 29, 2000) at her home. A private service will be held.

She was born on June 27, 1910 in Sams Valley, a daughter of George and Cloa McDonough, whose ancestors helped develop Jacksonville. She was a descendant of the pioneer McDonough/Kahler/ Gilchrist families. On Nov. 5, 1928 in Eugene, she married Albert Louis Straus, who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1998.
Mrs. Straus graduated from Sams Valley High School and attended the University of Oregon Business School in Eugene. She was the financial administrator for the family ranching enterprise for 60 years, retiring in 1990. She was also an agent for Waddell & Reed Financial Services, and active in politics.
She was a member of the Sams Valley Grange, and held many leadership positions.
Survivors include a son, Dalton, Central Point; a daughter, Doreen McGettigan, Philadelphia, Pa.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 14 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Wesley McDonough, and a sister, Naoma Clark.

Violet Verda Moore
The memorial service for Violet Verda Moore will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Memory Gardens Mortuary in Medford. Inurnment will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Moore, 83, died Saturday (Oct. 28, 2000) at Hearthstone.

She was born Violet Conley on Dec. 29, 1916, in Meadow Creek, Idaho. On Mar. 11, 1949, in Medford, she married Charles E. Moore, who survives.
She worked as a waitress at Bates Truck Stop for many years before retiring in 1970. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery, cooking and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include, a son, William M. Longmire, Medford; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Earlene Longmire, in 1985, five brothers, and two sisters.

Warren Ray Brotherton
The funeral for Warren Ray Brotherton will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
Mr. Brotherton, 77, of Gold Hill, died Saturday (Oct. 28, 2000) at his home.
He was born on Nov. 17, 1922, in Charleston, Ark. On Mar. 30, 1978, in Carson City, Nev., he married Marcia L. Centers, who survives.
A 35-year resident of the Rogue Valley, he owned Brotherton Pipeline. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include three sons, Charles R., Central Point, Jim, Rogue River, and Gary, Jacksonville; a daughter, Laurie Trobrough, Portland; a stepson, Rick Straus, Salem; three stepdaughters, Kimbra Straus and Janice Stevens, Gold Hill, and Jacquelyn Konnegen, Eagle Point; two sisters, M. Virginia Martin, Medford, and Robbie Anderson, Rogue River; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe Carl and Charles Edward Brotherton.

Elsie Mae Alderson
Central Point resident Elsie Mae "Shirley" Alderson, 78, died Friday (Oct. 27, 2000) at her home. No services are planned.
She was born Sept. 18, 1922 in Junction City, but lived most of her life in Jackson and Josephine counties. She worked at the Riverside Motel for about 20 years.
She enjoyed sewing and taught herself to play the piano and organ. She enjoyed her family and visiting people.
Survivors include daughters Judy Pendergrass, Grants Pass; Sally Copenhaver, Roseburg, and Jenny Houck, Salem; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Alderson, in 1988; a son, Michael William Alderson, in 2000; and two sisters and one brother.
