David Edmon Walsh
David Edmon Walsh, 93, of Ocean Park, Wash., formerly of Medford, died Oct. 16, 2000, in Astoria. The Mass of Christian Burial and rosary recitation were held Oct. 20 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Roy. The Rev. Emmerich Vogt, Dominican prior of Holy Rosary Parish in Portland, officiated.

He was born Sept. 7, 1907, in Herndon, Kan., a son of Maurice and Winifred (Smith) Walsh. He attended high school in Herndon and the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan.
On Sept. 5, 1935, in Herndon, he married Susan Unger, who survives.
Mr. Walsh was a sales manager for Arden Farms in Medford and Portland, retiring in 1975. He lived in Medford from the 1950s to the 1970s.
During World War II, he worked in the Portland shipyards.
Mr. Walsh was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus, a professed lay-Dominican, and president of the Genealogy Society in Ocean Park, Wash.
He enjoyed genealogy and storytelling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, John P., Kirkland, Wash.; a daughter, Mary K. Salander, Bethesda, Md.; two sisters, Eileen Smith, Eugene, and Martha Duncan, Everett, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

Clara Graham
The memorial service for Clara Graham will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville. Private interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Graham, 82, of Jacksonville, died Sunday (Oct. 29, 2000) in Jacksonville.
The date of death was incorrect in Tuesday’s obituary.
Danny Eugene Wilcox
The memorial service for Danny Eugene Wilcox will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Marins’ home, 605 Hartley Road, Talent. A potluck will follow. Chaplain John Braund of Rogue Valley Hospice will officiate.
Mr. Wilcox, 51, of Medford, died Friday (Oct. 27, 2000) at his home.
He was born Sept. 29, 1949, in Yreka, Calif. He graduated from Ashland High School.
On Sept. 8, 1990, in Anchorage, Alaska, he married Cheryl Lyman, who survives. He spent 33 years in Alaska before moving back to the Rogue Valley in 1995.
Mr. Wilcox worked for 30 years in the oil industry, mostly on oil platforms at Prudhoe Bay and Cook Inlet.
He was a past member of the Moose Lodge in Anchorage.
Mr. Wilcox enjoyed fishing and playing poker and pool.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Daniel, Fort Campbell, Ky.; a daughter, Julie Smith, Reno, Nev.; three stepsons, Karsten and Alan Smith, both Missoula, Mont., and Jason Smith, Anchorage; his mother, Hazel Lewis, Medford; his grandmother, Genevieve Baccarini, Medford; two sisters, Marilyn Modou, Medford, and Marlene Wilcox, Anchorage. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Eugene Wilcox, in 1994.

Thelma M. McCauley
The memorial service for Thelma M. McCauley will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Phoenix.
Mrs. McCauley, 88, died Oct. 9, 2000. The full obituary ran Oct. 11.

Ruby D. Shumake
The memorial service for Ruby Dorotha Shumake will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Church of God in Medford. Pastor John Wiuff will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Shumake, 87, of Medford, died Saturday (Oct. 28, 2000) in White City.

She was born on July 15, 1913, in Exeter, Mo., a daughter of William and Estella Owens Martin. On June 20, 1951, in Pomona, Calif., she married Cecil Shumake, who died in 1996. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1951 from Columbus, Kan.
Mrs. Shumake was a garment factory manager in Fort Scott, Kan., for 20 years. She also worked as a housekeeper for Pulvers Motel in Medford for 20 years.
She was a member of the First Church of God and served as a Sunday School teacher for 40 years.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Leta Martin, Medford; three nephews, William Martin, White City, Robert Martin, Rogue River, and Ronald Martin, Medford; and a niece, Judy Case, Portland.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Chapel, Medford.
Warren Ray Brotherton
The funeral for Warren Ray Brotherton will be at 1 p.m. today at Memory Gardens Mortuary. Pastor Ed Keyes, of the Medford Seventh-day Adventist Church, will officiate.

Mr. Brotherton, 77, of Gold Hill, died Saturday (Oct. 28, 2000) at his home.

Otto Eugene McClung
The committal service for Otto Eugene McClung will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Eagle Point National Cemetery. Dr. William McDonald, of the First United Methodist Church, Medford, will officiate.
Mr. McClung, 67, of Medford, died Saturday (Oct. 28, 2000) at his home.
He was born on Sept. 3, 1933, in Auburn, Calif., a son of John Benjamin and Mary Elizabeth (Maloney) McClung. On Nov. 11, 1995, in Reno, Nev., he married Linda Brand, who survives.
Mr. McClung was a firefighter for the city of Los Angeles, retiring in 1984. He moved to the Rogue Valley that year from Garden Grove, Calif. For the last 10 years, he worked for Answer Page in Medford.
He was a member of the Firefighters Union.
Mr. McClung enjoyed golfing and farming.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Virginia Smith and Teresa Labbé, both Okemah, Okla.; a sister, Helen Butler, in California; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary; his first wife, Gloria; and a brother, Virgil.

A. Wayne Wilson
The memorial service for A. Wayne Wilson will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Central Point.
Mr. Wilson, 75, of Central Point, died Oct. 19, 2000, at his home.
He was born March 20, 1925, in Pueblo, Colo. On July 7, 1956, in Newark, N.J., he married Angie Granzotto, who survives.
Mr. Wilson was an electric motors repairman in San Jose, Calif., retiring in 1990. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from San Jose, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Carol Grace Wilson, in Hawaii; and a sister, Stella Sheets, Vancouver, Wash.
