Tatia Elaine Baker
The memorial service for Tatia Elaine Baker will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Ascension Lutheran Church in Medford. The Rev. David Rapp will officiate. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Baker, 49, of Central Point, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000) at her home.

She was born Tatia Brownlee on Nov. 13, 1950, in Medford. She attended Medford schools, and was a member of the first graduating class from North Medford High School.
On Dec. 1, 1973, in Central Point, she married Lawrence O. Baker, who survives. She lived in the Rogue Valley most of her life.
Mrs. Baker was a quality control associate at Harry and David for more than 25 years.
She enjoyed camping and trips to the beach.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence O. Baker, Central Point. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd H. "Dutch" and Doris E. (Williams) Brownlee.

Melvin Dale Freeman
The graveside service for Melvin Dale Freeman will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Cemetery in Yreka, Calif. A reception will be at 6 p.m. at the Central Point Assembly of God.
Mr. Freeman, 65, of Medford, died Tuesday (Nov. 7, 2000) while on a hunting trip in Eastern Oregon.

He was born Nov. 12, 1934, in Grants Pass, the son of Jesse Rue and Velma Maysel (Allen) Freeman. He attended schools in Yreka, Calif., and graduated from Yreka High School in 1953. On Aug. 20, 1955, in Yreka, Calif., he married Laura Jean Laufer, who survives. He had lived in Medford since 1962.
Mr. Freeman was an inspector with Bear Creek Valley Sanitary Authority, retiring after 18 years.
He served in the National Guard in Yreka, Calif.
Mr. Freeman was a member of the Rogue Valley Street Rods, and the National and Northwest Chapters of the Hudson Club.
He enjoyed restoring classic cars, hunting and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Kari Wood, Central Point, and Kathy Bowers, Hillsboro; a sister, Karen Laufer, San Francisco; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Alan.

Phyllis Mae Mason
The funeral for Phyllis Mae Mason will be at 3 p.m. today at Conger-Morris Chapel in Medford.
Mrs. Mason, 75, of Medford, died Tuesday (Nov. 7, 2000) in Medford.

She was born Phyllis Mae Todd on Oct. 31, 1925, in Osgood, Mo. In 1962, in Vista, Calif., she married Charles D. Mason, who survives. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1965, from Vista, Calif.
The Masons owned and operated Mason’s Sporting Goods in Medford from 1965 to the present.
Mrs. Mason attended the First Church of the Nazarene.
She enjoyed bowling, fishing, reading and music.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a daughter, LaWren Dole, Albany; a son, Bruce, Medford; a brother, Wade Todd, Salt Lake City; two sisters, Gail Rudy, Salt Lake City, and Joan Hollon, in Missouri; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Conger-Morris in Medford.
Zetta Bea Hall
Zetta Bea Hall, 48, of White City, died Tuesday (Nov. 7, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born Aug. 2, 1952, in Rochester, N.Y., the daughter of Ewell and Rachael Day. On Dec. 6, 1976, in Houston, she married Delvin C. Hall Sr., who died in 1986. She moved to the Rogue Valley 15 years ago from Houston.
Mrs. Hall owned and operated T & Z Shuttles in White City.
She enjoyed her computer, puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her companion, Tony Haas, White City; a daughter, Tonya M. Hall, White City; three sons, Delvin C. II, White City, Sherman R., Medford, and Claud L., McComb, Mo.; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter in 1994.

Theresa Marie Bates
The memorial service for Theresa Marie Bates will be at noon Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford.
Ms. Bates, 37, of Medford, died Saturday (Nov. 4, 2000) in Medford.

She was born Dec. 2, 1962, in Medford, a daughter of Marlow and Delma Bates.
Ms. Bates was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford and lived in the Rogue Valley most of her life.
She enjoyed animals, crafts, ceramics and woodworking.
Survivors include her companion, Barbara Jean Toman, Medford; her parents, Marlow Jr. and Delma Bates, Medford; a sister, Patty Scott, Medford; three brothers, Mike Bates, Medford, Bill Bates, Anchorage, Alaska, and Jim Bates, Portland. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marlow Bates III.

Joyce K. Householder
The funeral for Joyce Katherine Householder will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Litwiller-Simonsen Chapel in Ashland. The Rev. Curt Christian will officiate. Interment will follow at Scenic Hills Memorial Park in Ashland.
Mrs. Householder, 76, of Eagle Point, died Monday (Nov. 6, 2000) at her home.

She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Ashland, a daughter of Lewellyn James and Amy Pearl (Davis) Grissom. She graduated as valedictorian from Eagle Point High School in 1942.
On July 29, 1943, in Medford, she married Wesley Householder, who survives.
Mrs. Householder worked in food service at the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary for 21 years.
She was a member and treasurer of Lake Creek Grange No. 697. She was also a member of the American Sunday School Union and the American Missionary Fellowship at the Antelope Sunday School.
Mrs. Householder enjoyed animals.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Robert Wesley, Eagle Point, and Michael Wayne, Medford; a brother, Donald James Grissom, Eagle Point; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Arthur Grissom, in 1957.

Shawn Pollard
The memorial service for Shawn Pollard will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Prospect Assembly of God. Mr. Pollard’s uncle, Pastor Dennis Holcomb, will officiate.
Mr. Pollard, 30, died Sunday (Nov. 5, 2000) in a automobile accident in Douglas County.
He was born April 27, 1970, in Carmichael, Calif., a son of Terry and Janie (Griffin) Pollard and lived in the Phoenix-Talent area from the age of 10. He graduated from Phoenix High School and attended the American River Whitewater Rafting School in Sacramento, Calif.
Mr. Pollard worked as a river guide on the Rogue River.
He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed hunting, snowboarding and skiing.
Survivors include his companion, Davi Traister, Talent; his parents, Terry and Janie Pollard, Medford; a son and daughter, Jorrin and Trueda Pollard, both Talent; and two brothers, Joey and Tom.
