Dale Perrie Guidry
Dale Perrie Guidry, 60, of El Cajon, Calif., formerly of Medford died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1940, in Portland. On Nov. 21, 1981, in Las Vegas he married Doreen Thomas, who survives. He was a former resident of Medford and was visiting relatives at the time he became ill.
Mr. Guidry was a member of the Insulator Club. and the Railroad and Trolley Club in Oregon and San Diego.
He enjoyed trains and trolleys.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his mother, Hazel Guidry, Medford; a son, Bruce T. Byrd; San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Shurell Christine Nardi and Tiffany Calhoun, both of Amity, Ore.; two stepsons, Wallace and Perry Beggs, both of San Diego; a stepdaughter, Brandie Beggs, San Diego; and six grandchildren.

Jane Sophia Plummer
Jane Sophia Farr Plummer, 77, of Medford, died Friday (Nov. 24, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private family funeral will be held.
She was born Jane Sophia Farr on Jan. 13, 1923, in Warren, Ore., a daughter of John and Mary Farr. On May 3, 1945, in The Dalles, Ore., she married Merle Plummer, who survives.
Mrs. Plummer was a grand committee member of Eastern Star, a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Elkettes in Sweet Home.
She worked as a sales representative in department and jewelry stores. She owned and operated a stationery store, a cafe-bus depot in Sweet Home, with business partner, Lee Dudley.
Mrs. Plummer enjoyed sewing, golfing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband survivors include: a daughter, Carol Hearns, Medford; a son, Jeff, Klamath Falls; and three grandchildren.
Mamie G. ‘Duke’ Barnard
The funeral for Mamie Geraldine "Duke" Barnard will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Chapel in Memory Gardens Memorial Park. The Rev. Flo Bohnert of Christ Unity Church will officiate.
Mrs. Barnard, 94, of Medford, died Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Mamie Geraldine McNicholas on Oct. 23, 1906, in Portland. On Aug. 31, 1930, in Klamath Falls, she married James William Barnard, who died in 1975.
Mrs. Barnard was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley 58 years ago from Klamath Falls
She was a member of Christ Unity Church, the Britt Society, the Rogue Opera Guild, the Eleanor Roosevelt League, Rogue Valley Friendship Club and the Emblem Club.
Mrs. Barnard enjoyed reading, travel, sewing and writing.
Survivors include a son, James Richard, Reno, Nev.; a daughter, Dallas Mae Barnard, Oakland, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harry R. McNicholas.

Ronald George Quick
The memorial service for Ronald George Quick will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Point Community Bible Church. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Pastor Pete Slusher will officiate.
Mr. Quick, 76, of Central Point, died Monday (Nov. 13, 2000) at his home.

He was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Pasadena, Calif., a son of Theodore and Ruberta Quick. On Sept. 30, 1949, in Boulder City, Nev., he married Elinore Faber, who survives.
Mr. Quick was an electrical engineer for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. He moved to Central Point from Altadena, Calif., 21 years ago.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Quick was a member and former deacon of Community Bible Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Ronald John, Palmdale, Calif.; three daughters, Sharon Fisher, Gualala, Calif., Theresa Deming, Altadena, Calif., and Kathryn Quick, Martinez, Calif.; a brother, David, Redwood Valley, Calif.; a sister, Mary Merritt, Eldora, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may pay their respects from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Central Valley Cremation and Funeral Care, Central Point.
Ellen Elizabeth Howe
Ellen Elizabeth Howe, 94, of Medford, died Sunday (Nov. 12, 2000) at Tender Touch Foster Home in Medford. A private service will be held later. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Grants Pass.
She was born Oct. 25, 1906, near Merrill, the daughter of Michael P. And Mary (Hahn) Galarneau. On Dec. 22, 1923, she married Julian Lanouguere, who died in 1961. On Feb. 14, 1963, she married Herbert Howe, who died in 1972.
Mrs. Howe was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley 38 years ago.
She enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing and doing fancy work.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen Howe, Medford; a stepson, Leonard T. Howe, Medford; a brother, Harry Galarneau. Roseville, Calif.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Fred Thomas Shreves
The graveside service for Fred Thomas Shreves will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Wayne Bell of the Veterans Affairs Domiciliary will officiate.
Mr. Shreves, 48, of Medford, died Friday (Nov. 10, 2000) in Medford.
He was born April 24, 1952, in Santa Cruz, Calif. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1995 from California.
On April 12, 2000, in Portland, he married Stormy Reese, who survives.
Mr. Shreves worked at Praegitzer Industries in White City.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1970-73.
Mr. Shreves enjoyed fishing, woodworking, reading and various crafts.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Melissa Shreves, Quincy, Calif.; a step-daughter, Precious Esther, Medford; a son, Jeremy; a brother, Leon, Herndon, Va.; a sister, Pamela Poison, in Nevada; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maverna Shreves.

Mary Ann Sander
Mary Ann Sander, 88, of Medford, died Monday (Nov. 13, 2000) in Medford. No service is planned.

She was born Nov. 18, 1911, in Barman, Germany, the daughter of Anton and Gertrude Coenenberg. Her family moved to Oregon when she was 10, and she was a Rogue Valley resident for more than 70 years.
Mrs. Sander retired after 20 years in real estate. Following her retirement, she visited Europe and the great museums several times, spent two years in Hawaii, and visited her family from Alaska to Texas.
She was very active in the Oak Grove Extension Service while her sons were attending Oak Grove Elementary School.
Mrs. Sander was an avid reader and had a great appreciation for the arts. She enjoyed traveling, selective gardening such as miniature roses and indoor plants, and collecting mementos.
Survivors include her husband, C. Aubrey Sander, Medford; two sons, Charles David Elson, Buena Park, Calif., and James Anthony Elson, Kenai, Alaska; three brothers, Vern Coenenberg and Joseph Coenenberg, both of Palo Alto, Calif., and Richard Coenenberg, Sedona, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
