Pearl Francis Stevens
Pearl Francis Stevens, 80, of Medford, died Friday (Nov. 24, 2000) at Hearthstone. No service is planned. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

She was born Pearl Jones on Feb. 18, 1920, in Manhattan, Kan. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1927 from California. On Dec. 18, 1935, in Medford, she married Marvin L. Stevens, who died in 1966.
Mrs. Stevens worked in clothing stores in Medford for more than 20 years.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Medford.
Mrs. Stevens enjoyed gardening, crocheting, putting together puzzles and bird watching.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Farnsworth, Walla Walla, Wash.; two sisters, Hazel McNeil and Dorothy Blair, both Medford; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary; four brothers; and one sister.

Dorotha Marie Darby
The memorial service for Dorotha Marie Darby will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Talent Friends Church. Pastor David Howell will officiate. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, Calif.
Mrs. Darby, 80, of Talent, died Thursday (Nov. 24, 2000) at her home.
She was born June 13, 1920, in Klamath Falls, a daughter of Delmar and Ada Kruger. She graduated from high school in Bonanza in 1938.
On Feb. 29, 1940, in Beatty, she married Raymond Darby, who preceded her in death. She moved to California in 1957. For many years she owned and operated her own accounting business. She returned to Oregon in 1999.
Survivors include a son, Raymond, Henderson, Nev.; two daughters, Judith E. Fields, Medford, and Linda M. Prowse, Monroe; two brothers, Ralph and Owen "Ike, " Kruger, both Talent; a sister, Louise Kelly, Talent; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Ed Burkhart
The memorial service for Ed Burkhart will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Prospect Cafe and Trophy Room in Prospect.
Mr. Burkhart, 53, of Prospect, died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 2000) at his home.
He was born March 10, 1947 in Medford. A lifelong resident of the Rogue Valley, he owned the Prospect Cafe for 15 years. He also worked in the timber industry. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1970 and earned the Defense Service Medal and the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and working with pack horses and mules.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynda Chapman, Prospect, and Cathy Burkhart, White City; a stepson, Rex "Bud" Twitchell, Central Point; his mother, Doris Burkhart, Eagle Point; a sister, Mary Elin Jaques, Gilchrist; a brother, Leroy Burkhart, Central Point; his companion, Suzie Connell, Prospect; and her son, Casey Connell, Eagle Point.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1992.

Ida May Blunt
The funeral for Ida May Blunt will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, in the Hillcrest Chapel. Pastor Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate.
Mrs. Blunt, 91, of Medford died Tuesday (Nov. 21, 2000) at a private foster home in Medford.
She was born Ida May Hurd on May 5, 1909, in Grants Pass, a daughter of Charles and Ida Hurd.
On Aug. 16, 1930, in Grants Pass she married Arthur L. Blunt, who died in 1976. She lived in the Rogue Valley all of her life.
Mrs. Blunt enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and reading
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Jones, Medford; two grand children; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers, and one sister.

Olen Risner
Olen Risner, 83, of Medford, died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 2000) at Hearthstone Manor. No service is planned.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1917, in Russett, Okla. On June 18, 1938, in Marietta, Okla., he married LaWana Overstreet, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1946 from White Sands, N.M.
Mr. Risner was in charge of a German POW Camp at Camp House, Texas, during World War II. He worked as a painting contractor and owned his own paint contracting business.
He was a 32 Degree Mason.
Mr. Risner enjoyed fishing, hunting, baseball and playing dominos.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Carol Lapp, Shady Cove, and Barbara Eddowes, Las Vegas; four sisters, Edna Miller, Ashland, Fannie Elmore, Lawton, Okla., Ruth Young, Durant, Okla., and Margaret Rasmussen, Tumwater, Wash.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Lawrence; and two sisters, Jewell and Faye.

Henry I. Seroussi
Henry I. Seroussi, 77, of Ashland, died Thursday (Nov. 23, 2000) at Linda Vista Care Center, Ashland. Private interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
He was born on March 27, 1923, in Cairo, Egypt, a son of Abraham and Rose Seroussi.
Mr. Seroussi was a member of the Havurah Community in Ashland.
He worked as a stockbroker until his retirement and was a artist, painting with oils.
Survivors include three daughters, Sylvia Seroussi-Chatroux, Ashland, Karyn Seroussi, Rochester, N.Y., and Leila Seroussi, Paris, France; a son Richard, Seattle; several brothers and sisters; and six grandchildren.

Dale Perrie Guidry
Dale Perrie Guidry, 60, of El Cajon, Calif., formerly of Medford died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. No service is planned.
He was born on Feb. 20, 1940, in Portland. On Nov. 21, 1981, in Las Vegas he married Doreen Thomas, who survives. He was a former resident of Medford and was visiting relatives at the time he became ill.
Mr. Guidry was a member of the Insulator Club. and the Railroad and Trolley Club in Oregon and San Diego.
He enjoyed trains and trolleys.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his mother, Hazel Guidry, Medford; a son, Bruce T. Byrd; San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Shurell Christine Nardi and Tiffany Calhoun, both of Amity, Ore.; two stepsons, Wallace and Perry Beggs, both of San Diego; a stepdaughter, Brandie Beggs, San Diego; and six grandchildren.

Jane Sophia Plummer
Jane Sophia Farr Plummer, 77, of Medford, died Friday (Nov. 24, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private family funeral will be held.
She was born Jane Sophia Farr on Jan. 13, 1923, in Warren, Ore., a daughter of John and Mary Farr. On May 3, 1945, in The Dalles, Ore., she married Merle Plummer, who survives.
Mrs. Plummer was a grand committee member of Eastern Star, a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Elkettes in Sweet Home.
She worked as a sales representative in department and jewelry stores. She owned and operated a stationery store, a cafe-bus depot in Sweet Home, with business partner, Lee Dudley.
Mrs. Plummer enjoyed sewing, golfing, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband survivors include: a daughter, Carol Hearns, Medford; a son, Jeff, Klamath Falls; and three grandchildren.
