Grace Louise Jolliffe
The memorial service for Grace Louise Jolliffe will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church in Medford.
Mrs. Jolliffe, 93, of Medford, died Tuesday (Nov. 28, 2000) at her home.

She was born Aug. 16, 1907, in Dayton, Wash., a daughter of James and Hester Penny. On Oct. 25, 1926, in Detroit, she married Elden Lynn Jolliffe, who was a minister in Ashland for several years. He died in 1996. They moved to Medford from Ashland in 1972.
Mrs. Jolliffe was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Jolliffe was an artist.
Survivors include a daughter, Gracie Kellogg, Medford; a brother, Robert "Bob" Jolliffe, Scio; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters; a brother; and one great-grandchild.

Bessie Annette Charles
The funeral for Bessie Annette Charles will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Klamath Falls. The Rev. Bud Coffman of Lighthouse Pentecostal Church of God in Medford will officiate. Interment will be in Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Charles, 85, of Medford, died Monday (Nov. 27, 2000) at her home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Dutch Mills, Ark., a daughter of James and Pearl Ball. On March 29, 1935, in Stilwell, Okla., she married Watie Jim Charles, who died in 1994. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1994 from Klamath Falls.
Mrs. Charles was a homemaker.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing and reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennie Scott and Oneta Ludlow, both Medford; five sons, Fred, Klamath Falls, Rick, Eagle Point, Ronald, Brookings, James, San Diego, and Carl, Columbia, Calif.; a sister, Monta Gardner, Ramona, Okla.; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two granddaughters.

Donald N. ‘Putt’ Wilson
Donald N. "Putt" Wilson, 85, of Bend, formerly of Medford, died Monday (Nov. 27, 2000) at St. Charles Medical Center. The committal service for Donald N. Wilson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, 2001, at Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born March 24, 1915, in Corwin, Kan. He came to Medford as a boy, and grew up next to the old Table Rock School, where he attended school and Sunday school.
Mr. Wilson was in partnership for a short time with Johnny Cearly at Farmers Meat Packing Co.
After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 677th Squadron on the 444th Bombardment Group in China, India and Burma, he returned to Medford in 1945, and married Lorraine Davis.
They moved to Eugene, where they opened Wilson Sausage Kitchen, and Mr. Wilson sold his famous sausage. The family later moved to Oakridge, where they were partners in the Lucky U Market. Two years later, they bought a dairy farm between Bend and Redmond, which they sold in 1966, retaining 20 acres where Mr. Wilson raised Holsteins and cut and wrapped meat. They moved to Bend in 1989.
Mr. Wilson enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lorraine, Bend; a daughter, Judy Salter, Medford; a son, David, Walnut Creek, Calif.; a brother, Dwight, Eugene; two granddaughters; two step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers.

Elwood F. ‘Jim’ Reel
The memorial service for Elwood Frederick "Jim" Reel will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Phoenix Church of Christ. Pastor David Humphreys will officiate.
Mr. Reel, 76, of Medford, died Monday (Nov. 27, 2000) at his home.

He was born April 16, 1924, in Independence, W. Va. He graduated from high school in 1942. In 1944, in San Diego, he married Ruth Evelyn Walters, who died in 1992. On April 16, 1994, in Medford, he married Jerrie McCartney, who survives.
Mr. Reel was the owner and operator of Reels Refrigeration, Heating and Air. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1996 from Sabetha, Kan.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Mr. Reel was a 53-year member and past master of the Sabetha Masonic Lodge No. 162. He was an active member of the Phoenix Church of Christ.
He enjoyed rockhounding, hunting, fishing, and watching golf and football.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, James Patrick, Medford; a stepson, John Wright, Eureka, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Stacey Barkley, Eureka, Calif.; a sister, Glenna Spiroff, Morgantown, W. Va.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Eugene Howard Trower
Eugene Howard Trower, 84, of Medford, died Tuesday (Nov. 28, 2000) at Hearthstone. A private service will be held.

He was born April 4, 1916, in Orosi, Calif., a son of Doran and Claudine Trower. On Nov. 23, 1946, in Vancouver, Wash., he married Nila Arlene Dempsey, who died in 1995. They moved to the Rogue Valley in the 1950s from Eugene.
Mr. Trower was a body and fender painter with Witham’s Truck Stop.
He enjoyed camping, hunting and working on cars.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Dean, Eagle Point, and Ray Dorn; two daughters, Janice Diane Bowman, Medford, and Janell Trower, Springfield; and a brother, Earl, Kingsburg, Calif. He was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene Howard Jr., and Robert Eugene.

Leroy ‘Lee’ Wells
The memorial service for Leroy "Lee" Wells will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Perl Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Wells, 87, of Grants Pass, formerly of Medford, died Oct. 29, 2000, at Three Rivers Hospital, Dimmick Campus.

He was born Jan. 24, 1913, in Norton County, Kan., a son of Lloyd and Linnie (Sproul) Wells. He graduated from Texas A & M University. On Jan. 30, 1936, in Phoenix, Ariz., he married Evelyn Whittenton, who died in 1999. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1951 from Klamath Falls.
Mr. Wells worked as a cowboy on cattle ranches in Arizona, as a motorcycle policeman in California, and as a paint contractor in California and Klamath Falls. He also worked as a tug boat operator in Klamath Falls, worked on the Alaskan Highway in the Yukon, as a suppression crew foreman for the U.S. Forest Service in the Applegate, as a policeman in Ashland, and as a juvenile court counselor for Jackson County. He retired from Jackson County in 1975.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Koch, Grants Pass, and Linda Rudd, Aiken, S.C.; a brother, David, Reseda, Calif.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter; and a sister, Leona Girdner.

Laurine Thelma Green
The memorial service for Laurine Thelma Green will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rogue Valley Christian Church in Medford. The Rev. Tim Shields will officiate. Inurnment will be at Logtown Cemetery in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Green, 83, of Central Point, died Monday (Nov. 27, 2000) at her home.

She was born June 26, 1917, in Lincoln, Neb., the daughter of Jordan and Millie Miller. On Oct. 24, 1939, in Long Beach, Calif., she married Charles Green, who died in 1981. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1968 from Red Bluff, Calif.
Mrs. Green was a member of Toastmistresses and the Women’s Home Extension in Ruch. She was also involved in the 4-H Club in Tehama County, Calif.
She enjoyed reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Ida Pretiger, Medford, and Penny Lourence, Red Bluff, Calif.; a son, David, Red Bluff, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Forrest V. Miller.
