Jasper Thys Kuitert
Graveside services for Jasper Thys Kuitert will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Missouri Flat Cemetery, Grants Pass. The Rev. Kurt Krowel will officiate.
Mr. Kuitert, 62, of Grants Pass, died Friday (Dec. 1, 2000) at his home.
He was born April 7, 1938 in Kollumerland, the Netherlands. On June 16, 1962, in Reno, Nev., he married Lanita "Sunny" Hartshorn, who survives.
Mr. Kuitert came to America from Holland in 1948 and lived in the Applegate for 41 years. He was a logger and a farmer. He was also a member of the Applegate Lions Club.
An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Kuitert enjoyed hard work.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four sons, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters and eight grandchildren.

Gordon E. Crow
The funeral for Gordon Emery Crow will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel, 715 W. Main St., Medford. Cliff Custer will officiate. Private committal will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.
Mr. Crow, 63, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 1, 2000) at his home.

Mr. Crow was born July 7, 1937, in Williams, Ariz. On Nov. 25, 1987, in Grants Pass, he married Phyllis Crow, who survives.
Mr. Crow moved from Florida to Grants Pass in 1981 and from Grants Pass to Medford in 1989. He had been a cemetery/mortuary counselor in the region since 1981. He was a member and past president of the Oregon Cemetery Association.
Mr. Crow enjoyed boating at Howard Prairie Lake, fishing and rock hounding.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Valerie Crow, Bradenton, Fla., and Melinda Garrett, Grants Pass; a sister, Virginia Ressler, Orange, Calif.; and his mother, Velma Crow, of Grants Pass.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald E. Crow.
Friends may pay their respects from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Conger-Morris Medford Chapel.
Helen Marie Spencer
Helen Marie Spencer, 83, of Ashland, died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) in Medford. Private inurnment will be in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.

She was born Helen Marie Helm on Oct. 13, 1917, in Britton, Okla., a daughter of John and Ruth Helm. In 1938, in Las Vegas, Nev., she married Carl Ralph Spencer, who died in 1970. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1970 from Oxnard, Calif.
Survivors include a daughter, Francis Nelson, Medford; a son, Carl Spencer, Central Point; a sister, Mary Kenney, Medford; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Vic Flood
The funeral for Vic Flood will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 5, 2000) at Hillcrest Chapel.
Mr. Flood, 79, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 1, 2000) at his home.

He was born June 15, 1921, in Jadie, Okla. On Aug. 29, 1942, in Idabel, Okla., he married Mary Neva Cole, who survives.
They moved to Medford in 1948 from Broken Bow, Okla.
He worked for Elk Lumber Company. He was a member of Old Time Fiddlers and Disabled American Veterans. He led the band Rhythm Masters as well as playing guitar and providing vocals for the group.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching televised sports, especially football.
Survivors include his son, Danny J. Flood, North Bend; daughter Linda Scruggs, Medford; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Rebecca Whitlock
The memorial service for Rebecca Whitlock will be at 1 p.m. Monday (Dec. 4, 2000) at 1624 Lenora Drive, Medford. Pastor Dale Meador, of Bear Creek Church, will officiate.
Interment will be at Siskiyou Memorial Park.

She was born Rebecca Ashley on April 3, 1912, in Dickenson, S.D.
On April 17, 1967, in Reno, Nev. she married Eugene Whitlock, who died in 1993.
She graduated from the University of Washington in 1933. She moved to the Rogue Valley from Montana in 1957.
She was a legal stenographer until her retirement in 1967.
She was a member of the Medford Garden Club, Sigma Kappa Sorority, and RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program).
Her interests included gardening, crossword puzzles, reading and travel.
Survivors include a son, Paul Anderson, Portland; daughters Marisue Larson, Medford, and Martha Zenor, Roseburg; a step-son, Perry Whitlock, Ocean Park, Wash.; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Friends may pay their respects from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday (Dec. 4, 2000) at Perl Funeral Home, Medford.
David Vance McNerney

He was born June 1, 1961, in Ashland, a son of Jack Vance and Lillia (Misenhimer) McNerney. On Aug. 8, 1988, in Gold Hill, he married Cindy Young, who survives. He lived in the Rogue Valley all his life.
Mr. McNerney was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 659.
He enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting and camping.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Lindsey McNerney, Central Point; his mother and stepfather, Lillia and Ron Plankenhorn, Medford; a brother, Tom, Medford; a sister, Lisa Prevost, Phoenix; a stepbrother, Tod Plankenhorn, Medford; a half-brother, Christopher McNerney, Lakeside; and a half-sister, Summer McNerney, Lakeside; He was preceded in death by his father, Jack McNerney; and his grandparents.

Richard George Grove
The graveside service for Richard George Grove will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Phoenix Cemetery. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Hospice will officiate. Inurnment will be at Phoenix Cemetery.
Mr. Grove, 88, of Medford, died Thursday (Nov. 30, 2000) at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1912, in Worchester, England. On Aug. 15, 1950, in Essex, England, he married Georgina Stanley, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1963 from Phoenix, Ariz.
Mr. Grove owned and operated Richard Grove’s signs and Art Studio in Phoenix. He was a well-known artist, teacher and sign writer.
During World War II, he served in the British Armed Forces, surviving the Battle at Dunkirk.
Mr. Grove was a honorary member of the Southern Oregon Society of Artists and served two consecutive terms as president.
He enjoyed painting, golf and watching professional football.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Stephen, Medford; two daughters, Diane Ballard and Joanne Martin, both Medford; two brothers, Ted and Stan, both in England; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Laurence, in 1965.
