A. Loree Boswell
The funeral for A. Loree Boswell will be at 2 p.m. today at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park.
Mrs. Boswell, 84, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 13, 2000) at Merle West Medical Center in Klamath Falls.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Medford Senior Center, 510 E. Main St., Medford, OR 97504, or Christ Unity Church, 540 N. Holly St., Medford, OR 97501.
She was born A. Loree Hunter on Aug. 14, 1916, in Emmett, Idaho. In May 1940, in Emmett, Idaho, she married Alvin W. Boswell, who died in 1989. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1940 from Cashmere, Wash.
Mrs. Boswell was a supervisor at Harry and David. She also packed pears at Rogue River Packing Co.
She was a member of the Medford Garden Club, the Medford Antique Club, and the church choir at Christ Unity Church.
Mrs. Boswell enjoyed being an active member of the Medford Senior Center. She was also a Girl Scout leader.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Finnell, Klamath Falls, and Shirley South, Ontario.; two sisters, Arlene Nichols, Morgan Hill, Calif., and Lola Kysar, North Bend; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, three brothers and one stepbrother.

Ada Jane Dixon
Ada Jane Dixon, 77, of Jacksonville, died Thursday (Dec. 14, 2000) at a foster care home in Medford. The memorial service will be held later.

She was born Aug. 10, 1923, in Danville, Ill. On Feb. 6, 1946, in Danville, Ill., she married James Robert Dixon, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Dixon was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1977 from California.
She was a volunteer at Loaves and Fishes in Jacksonville for more than 20 years.
Survivors include four daughters, Nancy Hollister, Medford, Joanne Mee, Ruch, Dianne Denson, Corning, N.Y., and Mary Benton, El Cajon, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Vernon W. Whipple
Vernon W. Whipple, 76, of Grants Pass, died Dec. 4, 2000, at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service will be held later.
He was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Fresno, Calif.
Mr. Whipple owned and operated a school supply and publishing company in Fresno, Calif., retiring in 1963. He moved to the Rogue Valley 10 years ago from Reno, Nev.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Whipple was an inventor. He enjoyed gardening and reading.
Survivors include his companion, Wilma King, Grants Pass; two sons, Dan Whipple-Treecraft, Spokane, Wash., and William Whipple, Reno, Nev. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald, in 2000.

Richard Henry Bradley
Richard Henry Bradley, 72, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 13, 2000) at his home. No service is planned. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was born Nov. 20, 1928, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Bradley was a self-employed property appraiser in California. He also worked in real property acquisition for Fluer Corp. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1990 from Los Angeles.
He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1947 to 1953.
Mr. Bradley was an avid sailor.
Survivors include a brother, Emmett "Tom" Bradley, Granite Bay, Calif. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita-Marie Kirk, in 1995.

Clinton A. Cobb
The graveside service for Clinton A. Cobb will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mr. Cobb, 93, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 12, 2000) while visiting in Sonora, Calif.
He was born Nov. 10, 1907, in Portland, a son of Merritt S. And Rachel Branch Cobb. He attended schools in Portland. On Dec. 25, 1931, in Medford, he married Freida Staley, who died in 1978.
Mr. Cobb worked in the wood products industry in Hilt, Calif., and Medford, retiring in 1978.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Cobb enjoyed fishing, camping and watching professional sports teams on television.
Survivors include a brother, Ivan Cobb, Carmichael, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter W.; and a sister, Erma Hahner.

Vernon W. Whittle
Vernon W. Whittle, 76, of Grants Pass, died Dec. 4, 2000, at Rogue Valley Medical Center. A private service will be held later.

Elsie May ‘Nettie’ Dunlap
The funeral for Elsie May "Nettie" Dunlap will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford. Interment will follow. A reception will follow at the family home.
Mrs. Dunlap, 86, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 13, 2000) at her home.

She was born Elsie May Nettleton on Nov. 29, 1914, in Muscatine, Iowa. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1940 from North Dakota. In 1948, she married Harry V. Dunlap, who survives.
Mrs. Dunlap was a registered nurse at Community Hospital, which later became Rogue Valley Medical Center. She retired at age 70.
She enjoyed gardening.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Howard, Butte Falls; a daughter, Renae Hunter, Wasilla, Alaska; a brother, Larry Nettleton, Minot, N.D.; a sister, Margie Blowers, Durant, Iowa; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Roy, Clyde and Billie.
