Linda Le Wamberg
The graveside service for Linda Le Wamberg will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Rev. Gregory Moys of St. Anne Catholic Church in Grants Pass will officiate.
Mrs. Wamberg, 62, of Rogue River, died Monday (Dec. 25, 2000) at her home.

She was born June 4, 1938, in Davis, Calif., a daughter of Caesar and Beatrice Pedroia. On Nov. 28, 1953, in Reno, Nev., she married Jerry Wamberg, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1986 from Woodland, Calif.
Mrs. Wamberg was a medical lab assistant.
She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Grants Pass.
Mrs. Wamberg enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include a son, Phillip, West Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, "Tammy" Miles, Medford, and Kelly Werlinger, Rogue River; three brothers, George Pedroia, Esparto, Calif., Paul Pedroia, Vacaville, Calif., and Beau Pedroia, Woodland, Calif.; two sisters, Lorraine Bewley, Woodland, Calif., and Margaret McMahan, Live Oak, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Pedroia.

Belinda Jean Michael
The chapel service for Belinda Jean Michael will be at 2 p.m. today at Long and Shukle Memorial Chapel in Roseburg.
Ms. Michael, 41, of Myrtle Creek, formerly of Medford, died Monday (Dec. 25, 2000) at her brother’s home in Roseburg.
She was born Nov. 5, 1959, in Canyonville, a daughter of Bayless and Betty (Kilgore) Shivers.
Survivors include a daughter, Nichole Elese, Springfield; her mother, Betty Jean White, Medford; three brothers, Bobby Joe Shivers, Roseburg, Rickey Shivers, Myrtle Creek, and Charles C. Jones, Medford. She was preceded in death by her father, Bayless Shivers.
Friends may pay their respects at 1 p.m. today at Long and Shukle Memorial Chapel in Roseburg.
Virgil Ray Thompson
The memorial service for Virgil Ray Thompson will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, 69, of Medford, died Dec. 20, 2000, in Medford.
He was born Sept. 14, 1931, in Peoria, Ill.
Mr. Thompson served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 20 years, during the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
He was an electronics technician for many years.
Mr. Thompson was a member of the Eagles Club in Medford.
He enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing pool.
Survivors include his companion, Dorothy Cosgrove, Medford; two sons, Steven, Bloomington, Minn., and Bruce, Oro Valley, Ariz.; and a daughter, Becky Moen, Pequot Lakes, Minn.

Oliver Stanley Smith
Oliver Stanley Smith, 87, of Jacksonville, died Monday (Dec. 25, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A private service will be held at Ruch Community Bible Church.

He was born Jan. 17, 1913, in Odessa, Wash. On July 2, 1943, in Medford, he married Evelyn Faye Brockway, who died in 1990. On Oct. 30, 1995, he married Evelyn S. Graham, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1995 from Bend.
During World War II, Mr. Smith worked as a civilian for the U.S. Air Force as supervisor of engine repairs in Spokane, Wash.
Mr. Smith established the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) in Josephine, Douglas and Lincoln counties, and developed the method of producing CEF background material. He served on church boards for Medford, Roseburg and Newport Baptist Church. In addition, he was a property developer, cattle rancher and raised and sold alfalfa.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a daughter, Roberta Lawson, Crooked River Ranch; a son, James Charles, Madras; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Cooper; and a brother, Dr. Louis DeSpain Smith.

Mary Louise Johnson
Mary Louise Johnson, 80, of Eagle Point, died Monday (Dec. 25, 2000) at her home. A private gathering was held at her home in Eagle Point.
She was born Mary Louise Mann on June 14, 1920, in Kennewick, Wash. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1928. In 1970, she married Albert Floyd Johnson, who died in 1995.
Mrs. Johnson enjoyed needlepoint, counted cross-stitch and was an avid mystery reader.
Survivors include three daughters, Alice Newman, Milwaukie, Olivia Robinson, Portland, and Helen Weis, Bakersfield, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Gloria Zadek, Half Moon Bay, Calif.; a brother, Richard Mann, Bremerton, Wash.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Rosie Mayes
The memorial service for Rosie Mayes will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. Pastor Stan Johnson of West Main Church of Christ will officiate. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mayes, 74, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 22, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

She was born Rosie Wiebe on July 31, 1926, in Jansen, Neb. She married Gerald Wesley Mayes, who died in 1977. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1960 from California.
Mrs. Mayes was a homemaker.
She enjoyed camping, traveling and gardening.
Survivors include her companion, Mack "Ernie" Brooks, Medford; three sons, Michael R., Central Point, Gerald W. Jr., Sumner, Wash., and Gregory A., Pittsburg, Calif.; a sister, Esther Litebody, Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A son, Clay C., preceded her in death.

Donna Beth Lounsbury
The memorial service for Donna Beth Lounsbury will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Medford. Pastor Bob Murphy will officiate. Interment will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
Mrs. Lounsbury, 62, of Central Point, died Saturday (Dec. 23, 2000) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born July 9, 1938, in Meridian, Idaho. On Sept. 7, 1957, in Eagle, Idaho, she married Roger Wayne Lounsbury, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1969.
Mrs. Lounsbury was a teacher of the Good News Club with Child Evangelism Fellowship. She also a homemaker and worked as a teacher’s aide at Jewett Elementary School.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three sons, Mark and Craig, both Medford, and Perri, Costa Mesa, Calif.; two sisters, Anna Lee Luke and Shirley Phillips, both Meridian, Idaho; and 10 grandchildren.

Opal G. Jones
Opal G. Jones, 92, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 22, 2000) at Three Fountains Nursing Center. No service is planned.
She was born Opal Buster on April 21, 1908, in Oklahoma. In 1953, in Japan, she married Burt R. Jones, who died in January 2000.
Mrs. Jones was a secretary for the federal and state government. She moved to the Rogue Valley in March 2000 from Stockton, Calif.
She enjoyed her cats.
Survivors include four nieces, Billie Cornett, Medford, Corine Allis, Yuba City, Calif., Leanne Barnes, Yachats, and Denice Rumerell, Pocatello, Idaho; and two nephews, Dalen Buster, Pocatello, Idaho, and Jim Rice, Concord, Calif.
