F.O. ‘Lloyd’ Flom

A family memorial service for F.O. "Lloyd" Flom will be held on Saturday.

Mr. Flom, 82, of Medford died Saturday (Dec. 30, 2000) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

He was bon on Nov. 22, 1918, in Starbuck, Minn., a son of Sam and Louise Flom. On Aug. 7, 1971, he married Donna MacKinnon, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1992 from South Carolina.

Mr. Flom served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He received his B.A. degree from Hamline University, and his master’s degree in public administration. He received his Ph.D. in political science and economics from the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Flom served two terms in the Minnesota Legislature and on the faculty of Whittier College and the University of Minnesota.

He worked as a public affairs executive for General Electric, the American Paper Institute and the New York Partnership. He retired in 1980.

Mr. Flom enjoyed travel, golf and politics.

Survivors in addition to his wife include; two sons, Steven, Sicklerville, N.J., and James, Newtown Square, Pa.; two daughters, Barbara Flom, Knapp, Wis., and Katherine Flom, Shorewood, Minn.; one sister Hazel Hedine, Glenwood, Minn., and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Corinne Inez Kane

The memorial service for Corinne Inez Kane will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Unity Church in Medford. Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Ms. Kane, 80, of Medford, died Dec. 25, 2000, at her son’s home in Oregon City.

She was born Corinne Harwood on June 26, 1920, in Bozeman, Mont. She was a graduate of what is now Southern Oregon University.

Ms. Kane was a school teacher at Griffin Creek Elementary School for 20 years.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Order of Amaranth.

Ms. Kane enjoyed writing music and playing bridge, and was active in the Southern Oregon University Alumni Association.

Survivors include a son, Stanley Robbins, Oregon City; and a daughter, Robbi McMinimy, Harrogate, England. She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Kane; and a sister, Nola Irene Neilson.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

E. Grayson Mosher

E. Grayson Mosher, 89, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) at a foster care home. A private memorial service will be held later.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Medford Medical Center Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

He was born Oct. 13, 1911, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of Frank and Bessie Mosher. On April 6, 1942, in Reno, Nev., he married Margaret Oatman, who died in 1991. He lived in Saint Helena, Calif., until 1995, moving to Napa, Calif., and then to the Rogue Valley in 1999.

Mr. Mosher was a landscape architect and nurseryman. He owned a nursery in Concord, Calif., for many years, and was superintendent of parks for the City of Berkeley in California before retiring.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Mr. Mosher was a member of the planning commission and a consultant for the Parks Department in St. Helena, Calif.

He enjoyed gardening, wine and beer making.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilee M. McLaughlin, Jacksonville, Vilette Revander, Sunnyvale, Calif.; a son, Frank, Fair Oaks, Calif.; a brother, Orland, Vista, Calif.; a sister, Eloise Junkin, Hollywood, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Hilderbrand, in 1983; and a grandson.

Francis J. Heffernan

Francis Joseph Heffernan, 85, of Phoenix, died Saturday (Dec. 30, 2000) at his home. The memorial service will be held later.

He was born March 25, 1915, in St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of George and Matilda Heffernan. On Oct. 2, 1945, in Huntington Park, Calif., he married Helen Clarke, who survives.

Mr. Heffernan was a manager for Pacific Coast Brush in Los Angeles from 1933 to 1959, and then for Okeh Caterers in Los Angeles from 1959 to 1978, when he retired. He moved to the Rogue Valley in September 2000 from Reno, Nev.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Mr. Heffernan was a fourth-degree Knights of Columbus member for approximately 50 years.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Barbara Prazzo, Medford, and Patricia Bedwell, Twin Falls, Idaho; two sons, Michael, Chino, Calif., and William, Twin Falls, Idaho; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Augustina Perezchica-Ruiz

The funeral Mass for Augustina Perezchica-Ruiz will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point. The Rev. Jim Clifford will officiate. The graveside service will follow at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.

Mrs. Perezchica-Ruiz, 50, of Gold Hill, died Friday (Dec. 29, 2000) at her home.

She was born May 7, 1950, in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico. On June 15, 1967, in Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico, she married Camilo Perezchica-Robles, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley from El Caracol Jalpa, Zacatecas, Mexico, in 1994.

Mrs. Perezchica-Ruiz was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Catholic Church in Central Point.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, shopping and traveling to Mexico.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include seven sons, Erick, Ivan, Rolando, Jose, and Jesus Perezchica, all Gold Hill, and Camilo Jr., and Carlos Perezchica, both White City.; four daughters, Critina, Vanessa and Licha Perezchica, all Gold Hill, and Adriana Perezchica, Medford; her mother Benita Serna, Gold Hill; four brothers, Sipriano Ruiz, Medford, Antonio Ruiz, White City, and Jaun and Martin Ruiz, both Chicago; a sister, Elena Ruiz, in Mexico; and four grandchildren.

Margaret Molnar

The funeral for Margaret Molnar will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.

Mrs. Molnar, 87, of Central Point, died Saturday (Dec. 30, 2000) at her home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Community Health Foundation, Hospice, 1111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, OR 97504.

She was born Margaret Gjuresko on June 6, 1913, in Fairfield, Conn. In 1937, in Weston, Conn., she married Arthur Molnar, who died in 1985. She lived in Connecticut until 1991.

Mrs. Molnar and her husband owned and operated Molnar’s Nursery in Huntington, Conn. For 36 years.

She enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen Patterson, Central Point; three sisters, Julia Studwell and Rose Bross, both Weston, Conn., and Irene Leary, in New Hampshire; and one granddaughter.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Ramona Taylor

Ramona Taylor, 82, of Washington, Mo., formerly of Medford, died Saturday (Dec. 30, 2000) at her home. No service is planned.

She was born June 30, 1918, in Shamrock, Texas, the daughter of Jessie and Viola McLemore. On May 23, 1937, in Erick, Okla., she married Dick V. Taylor, who died in 1999.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1967 from Bahraim Island in the Persian Gulf.

She enjoyed golf, china painting and needlepoint.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy, Washington, Mo., and Larry, Humble, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.
