Marguerite Lynn Parish
The memorial service for Marguerite Lynn Parish will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Carol Miller for Rogue Valley Medical Center Hospice will officiate. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. Parish, 53, of Medford, died Jan. 16, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 25, 1947, in Lewiston, Idaho. On March 19, 1991, in Las Vegas, she married Allen Parish, who died in 1994.
Mrs. Parish was a homemaker. She lived most of her life in California, moving to the Rogue Valley two years ago from Redding.
She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, gardening and painting.
Survivors include two daughters, Candace Klingensmith, and Darlynn Geer; a sister, Candace Rinetti, in Illinois; and three grandchildren.

Porcia Eve Bybee
The funeral for Porcia Eve Bybee will be at noon Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brookhurst Chapel, Medford Second Ward. Bishop Harvey Bragg will officiate. Committal will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, Medford.
Porcia, 4˝, daughter of Scott and Cathleen Bybee of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 21, 2001) at her home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1996, in Medford. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include three brothers, Nicholas V. Barlow, Timothy D. Barlow, and Johnathan A. Bybee, all Medford; four sisters, Angelina M. Barlow, Rebecca L. Barlow, BreAnne N. Barlow and Jacqueline P. Bybee, all Medford; and her grandparents, Jules and Rita Henrion, Central Point, and Larry and Eve Bybee, Salt Lake City.

Beverly Ann Anderson
The memorial service for Beverly Ann Anderson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Medford First Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Anderson, 64, of Medford, died Friday (Jan. 19, 2001) at her home.

She was born July 18, 1936, in Lyons, Kan. She moved to San Diego in 1942 and spent her youth and the majority of her life in Southern California. On March 2, 1963, in Las Vegas, she married Larry Anderson, who survives. They moved to Atlanta in 1990 and to the Rogue Valley in 1994.
Mrs. Anderson studied and played classical piano and appreciated classical and gospel music.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Anderson was an avid reader and Bible student and enjoyed sewing and interior decorating.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Cindy Lea Fisher, Temple City, Calif., and Tammy Lea Fisher, Salinas, Calif.; two sons, Larry Anderson Jr., Medford, and Butch Fisher, Monterey, Calif.; her mother, Daisy Trowbridge, Medford; a sister, Donna Rae Martinez, Eugene; and eight grandchildren.

Ruth Ellen LaPier
Ruth Ellen LaPier, 74, of Medford, died Thursday (Jan. 18, 2001) at her home. A private gathering was held.
She was born Feb. 15, 1926, in Minneapolis, a daughter of Harry D. And Effie L. Sage Sullivan. On Aug. 27, 1981, in Reno, Nev., she married Vernon LaPier, who died in 1983. She lived in Oregon most of her life and in the Rogue Valley from 1959-1967, when she moved to Anchorage. She returned to the Rogue Valley in 1989.
Mrs. LaPier was a waitress at Stanley’s in Medford for many years and at the Club Paris in Anchorage, retiring in 1989. She also worked on the Alaskan pipeline in Valdez, Alaska, and during World War II was a certified welder in the shipyards in Long Beach, Calif.
She was a member of the Teamsters Union.
Mrs. LaPier was an avid reader.
Survivors include a son, Ric Bliss, Medford; a daughter, Dianne Hamilton, Medford; two brothers, Pat Knight, Vernonia, and Frank Knight, Corvallis; two sisters, Mattie Wren, Moreno Valley, Calif., and Ramona Gifford, Palos Verdes, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren.

James W. Tomlinson
The memorial service for James William Tomlinson will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Carefree Mobile Village, 3848 S. Pacific Highway, Medford.
Mr. Tomlinson, 54, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 17, 2001) at Hearthstone.

He was born July 2, 1946, in Nampa, Idaho. He moved to the Rogue Valley 10 years ago.
Mr. Tomlinson was a house painter and a cook before becoming ill.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends.
Survivors include his companion, Sharon Corbett, Medford; three brothers, Richard W. Corbett, Meridian, Idaho, Walter Ronald Corbett, Ogden, Utah, and Hugh Tomlinson, Crescent City, Calif.; and two sisters, Carol J. Corbett Moore, Medford, and Glenda Tomlinson, Eureka, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Corbett; and two brothers, William Ray and Robert Lee Corbett.

Cora Mae Shaw
The memorial service for Cora Mae Shaw will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Conger-Morris Chapel in Medford. A reception will follow in the Conger-Morris Hospitality Room. Interment will follow at Siskiyou Memorial Park, Medford.
Mrs. Shaw, 94, of Phoenix, died Thursday (Jan. 18, 2001) in Medford.

She was born Aug. 9, 1906, in Norton, Kan., the daughter of Alan and Mary (Wakefield) Long. Her family moved to Jacksonville from Eagle City, Okla., in 1919. She graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1925, where she was the captain of the girls basketball team that won the state championship in 1924. On Dec. 1, 1926, in Medford, she married Frank S. Shaw, who died in 1970.
Mrs. Shaw was a homemaker who worked seasonally packing pears for Crystal Spring Packing House for more than 40 years. She also baby-sat for many children in the area.
She enjoyed cooking, baking cookies and making candy.
Survivors include three daughters, Bette Eppinger, Medford, Anita Clark, Phoenix, and Janet Gleason, Albany; a son, D. Dale, Vancouver, Wash.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sisters, a brother and a granddaughter.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.
Eleanor Brouwer-Rocca
Eleanor Brouwer-Rocca, 104, of Rogue Valley Manor, Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 17, 2001) at her home. No service is planned.
She was born May 12, 1896, in Copemish, Mich., a daughter of Gertrude Mary Newell and Gilbert Joseph LaClair. On April 5, 1919, she married Benjamin Klaus Brouwer, who died in 1971. They lived in Chicago, Glendale, Calif., Costa Mesa, Calif., Newport Beach, Calif. and Monterey, Calif.
Mrs. Brouwer-Rocca graduated at the head of her class from a nursing program and was a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She also was an instructor for the American Red Cross in Oak Park, Ill.
She founded the latch-key program in Costa Mesa, Calif., where she was a member of the Girls Club of the Harbor Area, the Thursday Morning Club and chairman of the Salvation Army Home League.
Mrs. Brouwer-Rocca was an avid golfer and a member of the Oakmont Country Club in Glendale, Calif.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Maciel, Carmel, Calif.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Henry Brouwer.
