John Davidson
John Davidson, 83, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday (Jan. 23, 2001) at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grants Pass. No service is planned.
He was born July 28, 1917, in Vandervoort, Ark., a son of William and Lydia (Webb) Davidson. In 1942, in Arkansas, he married Ona Chism, who died in 1989. They left Arkansas in the early 1940s and spent the rest of their lives in Oregon, California and Idaho.
Mr. Davidson worked on the Alaskan pipeline for one year. He was a carpenter by trade and built many of the family homes.
He moved to Grants Pass two years ago, residing most of that time at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Mae Rogers, Grants Pass; a son, John, Grants Pass; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Odus, George and Howard; and a grandson.

Louise A. Tinker
Louise A. Tinker, 70, of Carson City, Nev., formerly of Oregon, died Jan. 19, 2001, at her home. No service is planned.

She was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Whittier, Calif., a daughter of Charles A. and Mabel (Snivley) Stuck. On Jan. 31, 1948, in Whittier, Calif., she married Millard Tinker, who survives.
Mrs. Tinker was a homemaker. She lived in Oregon for 40 years. She moved to Carson City, Nev., from Ruston, La., three years ago.
She was involved in 4-H for 10 years, and was a 4-H leader.
Mrs. Tinker enjoyed fishing and video poker.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Larry, Corona, Calif., and Alan, Gardnerville, Nev.; and three grandchildren.

Harold R. Van Hoy
The memorial service for Harold Raymond Van Hoy will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hull & Hull Chapel in Grants Pass. Pastor Bob Fogelquist will officiate.
Mr. Van Hoy, 80, of Rogue River, died Wednesday (Jan. 24, 2001) at Highland House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
He was born June 8, 1920, in Wimer. On June 25, 1941, in Glendale, he married Ruth G. Cleveland, who survives. He lived in Rogue River most of his life.
Mr. Van Hoy was park manager at Valley of the Rogue Park and several other state parks in Oregon until his retirement in 1982.
He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the Oregon State Grange in Rogue River.
Mr. Van Hoy enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and woodworking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two daughters, Margaret Ruth Arvin, Gold Hill, and Helen G. Owens, Keizer; a son, Robert A., Seaside; two sisters, Juanita Martin, Baker, and Betty M. Cross, Carrolton, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy E. Van Hoy; and two brothers.

Roscoe Perkins
The memorial service for Roscoe Perkins will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Temple in Central Point. Pastor Glenn Tucker will officiate. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Memorial Park.
Mr. Perkins, 93, of Talent, died Wednesday (Jan. 24, 2001) at his home.
He was born Sept. 18, 1907, in Missouri. On Oct. 9, 1973, in Eagle Point, he married Julia P. (Brown) Maloney, who died in 1996.
Mr. Perkins worked in various lumber mills in the Rogue Valley. He lived in the Rogue Valley for more than 40 years.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Central Neighborhood Church (Assembly of God) in Phoenix.
Mr. Perkins enjoyed traveling, camping, gardening and yard work.
Survivors include five stepdaughters, Shirley Staten and Brenda Reha, both Medford, Joy Backes and Linda Breckler, both Central Point, and Gladys Adams, Rogue River; two stepsons, Elmer Maloney, Eagle Point, and Marvin Maloney, Reedsport; two sisters, Joy Kerby, Phoenix, and Alpha Branson, Central Point; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Perkins, in 1972; two brothers, Dale and Gene Perkins; and a sister, Faye Lawson.
Friends may pay their respects from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.
Agnes Low Anderson
Agnes Low Anderson, 88, of Medford, died Wednesday (Jan. 24, 2001) at Farmington Square in Medford. No service is planned.

She was born Sept. 22, 1912, in Phoenix, a daughter of Frank and Mary Colver. She graduated from Phoenix High School in 1930. On Dec. 28, 1934, in Medford, she married Alton Anderson, who died in 1989.
Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker. She lived in the Rogue Valley all her life.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Medford.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry L., and Duke G., both Medford, and Theodore, Highlands, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Colver.

James Lester Madden
James Lester Madden, 52, of Medford, died Saturday (Jan. 20, 2001) at Providence Medford Medical Center. The service has been held. Interment was in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
He was born March 5, 1948, in Grants Pass and lived in the Rogue Valley all his life.
Mr. Madden enjoyed fishing, hot chili and being a grandparent.
Survivors include a son, Bill; two daughters, Wendy Madden, Portland, and Sharon Reeder, Marysville, Calif.; his father, Charles, White City; three sisters, Christine Moore, Central Point, Debe Madden, Tualatin, and Cheri Lewis, in Canada; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evafaye Madden.

Pearl Irene McLin
The memorial service for Pearl Irene McLin will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Inurnment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.
Mrs. McLin, 90, of Medford, died Tuesday (Jan. 23, 2001) at Three Fountains Nursing Center, Medford.
She was born Nov. 16, 1910, in Weston, the daughter of Harry John and Nannie Pearl (Kemp) Gilliam. On Aug. 16, 1947, in Hillsboro, she married Loyd Allen McLin, who died in 1994.
During her lifetime, Mrs. McLin owned and operated a general store in Keno, a small store in Roseburg, and a grocery store in Warrenton. She moved to the Rogue Valley in the late 1980s from Port Orford.
She was an avid gardener.
Survivors include two daughters, Irene Ingra Corethers, Medford, and Gloria Boswell, Shelton, Wash.; a son, Loyd Ivan McLin, Oregon City; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great-grandchildren.

Richard Edward Albert
The memorial service for Richard Edward Albert will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bear Creek Park Pavilion, Medford. Private inurnment will be in Somersworth, N.H.
Mr. Albert, 45, of Medford, died Sunday (Jan. 21, 2001) at the home of a friend.

He was born June 29, 1955, in Rochester, N.H., a son of Robert R. And Adrienne E. (Vachon) Albert. He grew up in Somersworth N.H., where he attended school and belonged to the Somersworth Little League and the Somersworth Drum and Bugle Corps.
On June 29, 1980, in Berwick, Maine, he married Leslie Kimball, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley 10 years ago.
Mr. Albert enjoyed traveling, his dogs, classic cars and rock and roll.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Linwood "Woody" and Joshua Collins, both Ashland; two daughters, Melissa and Amber Albert, both Medford; his mother, Adrienne Albert, Somersworth, N.H.; and a brother, Norman, Berwick, Maine. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert R. Albert.
