Larry Young Ross
The funeral Mass for Larry Young Ross will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Medford. The Rev. William Dillard will officiate.
Mr. Ross, 85, of Medford, died Feb. 3, 2001, at his home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1915, in Orland, Calif. On April 20, 1940, in Reno, Nev., he married Mary Clair Delsman, who survives.
Mr. Ross was an administrator and principal for the California School System, retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the Rotary in Red Bluff and Mount Shasta, Calif., and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1988.
Mr. Ross enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Tug B., Phoenix, Ariz., and Dr. John B., in the San Fernando Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Margaret A. Ross, Los Angeles; a sister, Esther Nelson, Ola, Idaho; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, C.T. and Thomas.

Louise Ramsey
Louise Ramsey, 85, of Medford, died Feb. 4, 2001, at Rogue Valley Manor Health Care Center. No service is planned. Inurnment will be in Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno, Calif.
She was born Louise Lewis on March 1, 1915, in Philadelphia. On June 21, 1945, at Mare Island, Calif., she married Collier F. Ramsey, who died in 1952.
Mrs. Ramsey was an electrical engineer for the housing administration at Mare Island, designing shipboard lighting. She retired in 1973.
She was a past matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and past worthy high priestess of Bethel Shrine of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the First United Methodist Church, all in Vallejo, Calif. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1983 from Vallejo.
Mrs. Ramsey was a licensed small-aircraft pilot. She enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph F. Lewis Jr., in New Jersey; and a sister, Elizabeth L. Lingo, Moorestown, N.J.

Carl William Koester
The memorial service for Carl William Koester will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Central Point First Baptist Church. Pastor Damon McCoy will officiate.
Mr. Koester, 50, of Medford, died Thursday (Feb. 8, 2001) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 16, 1950, in Kodiak, Alaska, a son of Mike and Mary Stafford. He married Jan Zahorowski, who survives. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1998 from Alsea.
Mr. Koester owned a landscape design company.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Koester was a member of the Medford Eagles Lodge.
He enjoyed skiing, river rafting and fishing.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his parents, Mike and Mary Stafford, Alsea; and a sister, Robyn Peterson, Eugene. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Andrew.

Lois Edna Glines
Lois Edna Glines, 67, of Gold Hill, died Monday (Feb. 5, 2001) at her home. No service is planned. Interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

She was born April 4, 1933, in Winfield, Kan. On Sept. 4, 1954, in Oklahoma, she married Ernest Glines, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Glines was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1974.
She enjoyed painting, working in her garden and raising Arabian horses.
Survivors include a daughter, Jenny Glines, Gold Hill; and two sons, Cliff, Lake Stevens, Wash., and Dave; a brother, Gene Hicks, Enid, Okla.; a sister, Vera Hicks, Enid, Okla.; and six grandchildren.

Thelma Vola Klusman
The funeral service for Thelma Vola Klusman will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Lundberg’s L.B. Hall Funeral Home, Grants Pass. Interment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Klusman, 94, of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2001) at a Medford adult foster care home.
She was born Oct. 4, 1906, in Chester, Neb. On Sept. 9, 1924, in Marysville, Kan., she married Clifford John Klusman, who died in 1964. They came to Grants Pass from Omaha, Neb., in 1945.
The Klusmans owned and operated Quick Lunch Cafe and Cliff’s Gun & Tackle, both in Grants Pass. Mrs. Klusman moved to Medford 10 years ago.
She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church.
Mrs. Klusman was an avid reader. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include five daughters, Virginia West, Lucille Dutcher, and Janet Klusman, all Medford, Norma Jean Larsen, Central Point, and Ruth Ann Martin, Puyallup, Wash.; two sons, Robert F., Canyonville, and James D., Agness; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy E. Robbins
Dorothy E. Robbins, 79, of Gold Hill, died Monday (Feb. 5, 2001) at her son’s home in Rogue River. The service has been held.
She was born July 16, 1921, in Indiana.
She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Survivors include three daughters, Faith Embury, Grants Pass, Gail Robbins, in Kentucky, and Joyce Adams, in Texas; two sons, Bob Crowhurst, Grants Pass, and Bill Schaumburg, in California; a sister, Marge McKeand, Portland; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Zerald W. ‘Bill’ Laurine
Zerald W. "Bill" Laurine, 80, of Medford, died Wednesday (Feb. 7, 2001) at Hearthstone. No service is planned.

He was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Geneva, Neb., a son of Bert and Elsie (Gebhart) Laurine. He graduated from Black Diamond High School in Black Diamond, Wash. In 1947, in Portland, he married Gail Bashaw, and moved to the Rogue Valley in 1949 from Portland.
Mr. Laurine owned Laurine’s Carpet House and Rug Barn.
During World War II, he served as a staff sergeant in the 249th Army Air Corps.
Mr. Laurine was a member of the Hillah Temple Shriners, Hillah Temple German Band, Ashland City Band, Shriners Marching Band, Medford Elks Lodge, Jackson County Shrine Club, Royal Arch Masons and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Laurine, Jacksonville; a son, Brad, Cupertino, Calif.; a brother, Zenith, Canby; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Zenobia Frost.

Leslie Keith Moore
Leslie Keith Moore, 43, of Auburn, Wash., formerly of Butte Falls, died Jan. 11, 2001, in Washington. A private service will be held later.
He was born Sept. 25, 1957, in Medford, the son of Deltie and Lorraine Moore. He graduated from Butte Falls High School and lived in Butte Falls until 1975. On April 30, 1987, in Seattle, he married Connie Mitchel, who survives.
Mr. Moore was a truck driver out of Seattle.
He enjoyed camping and hiking.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his parents, Deltie and Lorraine Moore, Gold Beach; two stepsons, Donnie Walker, Auburn, Wash., and Robert Walker, Phoenix, Ariz.; and two brothers, Larry, Klamath Falls, and Leroy, Hillsboro.
